I had a great time doing this workshop. I feel like I have properly learned the basics of html, JavaScript and CSS and can use my new skilss as a solid base for improvement. This workshop was very well organised. Not only were the classes extremely well structured, but with Slack you also provided an excellent plattform to get help from.

It was my first coding experience. I really loved SheCodes Basics. I always wanted to learn how to code but never really knew how to start and moreover where to start. Coming across Matts introductory seminar was pure luck but at the best of times! I learnt a lot and had lots of fun tackeling the challenges and the project at the end. I had a great time getting into the basics of coding. The online-workshops allowed me to work in my own schedule and at my own pace. The introduction course was just perfect for someone like me looking to deep her toes into the coding pool.

This course was a lot of fun but also very challenging. I learned a lot and will definitely be able to use my new skills in the future. It will also be useful to have a homepage to show to potential employers so I would recommend this course to everyone who's looking for a (new) career in coding.

It´s a really great experience, and SheCodes made me become even more motivated!

Great course

Starting this course I didn't know anything at all about coding. Everything is taught step by step, easy to understand and you can rewatch videos anytime and learn at your own pace. You are encouraged to find your own solutions. Definitely a good starting point if you are interested in coding!

SheCodes allowed me to get some basic knowledge about markup languages and javascript, and put those learnings into practice.

I really enjoyed to start to learn coding with SheCodes Basics Workshop. The concept of teaching was great. It is not only about remembering pieces of code - Matt manages to point out information, that makes you really understand the fundamentals of coding and you can appreciate the whole building process more. When I look back and see, what I managed to build by myself after only three weeks of learning, I feel very proud and motivated to learn more. I really enjoyed learning something new and useful. All workshops are well designed and it was so helpful you could watch every video as often as you needed to ;-) I' happy I signed in.

Learning the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript was a great experience. I always thought that it would be too difficult for me. There were some points where I struggled a little, but due to the thorough and understandable explanations of Matt there were no problems that I could not find a solution for. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to take part in this and I might even continue with the next workshops.

I enjoyed the weather app challenge very much! Matt manages to explain complex tasks in a way that is easy to follow. The deeper you delve into coding with this course, the eager you are to learn more. Can't wait to get started with SheCodes responsive workshop!

I was hooked from the very first moment I started this course. It was a great learning experience that I enjoyed a lot. I loved the fact that I could learn independently whenever I found the time beside my work. I didn't believe I would enjoy learning to code that much.

SheCodes has taught me so much in just a couple of weeks. Coding is a lot of fun and there is so much space for creativity, it's really amazing! I can only recommend this workshop! If you want to broaden your horizon and expand your skillset - go for it!

SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management. I absolutely recommend Matthieu Delac Aussaguel's courses. Every step in each course is well-explained and the slack support group is very helpful.

SheCodes Basics was a very good starting point to the world of programming. The workshop is well organized and lays the first knowledgestones to take the next steps.

100% recommend! Besides some Python courses during my studies in Business Administration, I had nearly no experience in Coding. However, for the SheCodes Basics, no prior knowledge was requested. Both, explanations and the course structure were clear. I finished the course in 1,5 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks. However, I found that the first week of classes took significantly longer as it had more classes and challenges as opposed to the second week. The third week is primarily concerned with the creation of a personal project which was a lot of fun. Additionally, the community is amazing and so helpful when one is stuck with one of the challenges. Even if you are not looking for a job in tech I would highly recommend this course as part of building fundamentals and self-esteem. I will be looking into additional courses.

Doing the introduction workshop to coding was FUUUN! Matt's workshops are really understandable, even for people like me who didn't know anything about coding. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wishes to learn the basis of coding for professional reasons or by pure curiosity 👩🏼‍💻

Interesting workshop - learned a lot about making a page responsive on mobile devices (which bothered me a lot on the other projects :D). Thanks again for the interesting topics and videos. The final project has been a challenge, but I'm happy about everything I learned!

I really liked SheCodes Basic, i think it gave me the esential tools for developing a page which i find a really useful skill nowadays. The expererience was also great because i could do the curse wherever i had internet connection. The classes were short and concise and the team was always there when you needed help.

After participating in the 1-hour introduction session by Matt I was convinced that SheCodes is exactly the type of coding course that I identify with - and I was not disappointed ☺️ I really like the concept of learning in small chunks combining videos & exercises. It's pretty cool that all videos are recorded by Matt himself and appear very pure - small stuff such as slips are not edited / cut out, the coding itself is shown in its whole (uncut) so the viewer can fully witness and thus better understand every move. It gives it a personal touch, like learning from a friend 😊 It feels to me that doing the workshops is more than "just" learning how to code. It gives me confidence that I am not bound to what I've studied 💪 It provides me with tools and triggers creative sparks that are useful in many situations. And last but not least - super nice branding! It's a beautifully crafted brand and design. I am enthusiastic and excited whenever I talk to my friends about SheCodes and now I can even show off my SheCodes swag 😎 Looking forward to continuing my coding journey all the way to Pro!

SheCodes basic is perfectly curated for absolute Beginners in coding - the 3 weeks are full of inspiration and fun!

It was a great experience with a great learning effect! I had so much fun going through the fundamentals. I'm interested to build upon my knowledge and I would be looking into continuing this. Support was also great via slacks. Overall, I am happy that I made the first step. Thank you 🤗

I'm totally beginners in coding and no idea about how a website built. Through out the basic course i really enjoy it, especially when i run my code and its working! even though i only have limited time to do my exercises and my homework i still manage to make it on time. I can say that, Matt is really a good teacher!

I loved SheCodes-Basic! Before I started, I didn't know anything about coding whatsoever and I was always a little intimidated by it. I liked Matt's way of teaching straight away (not easily done because I am a teacher myself 👩‍🏫) and it is still truely amazing to me, how much I learnt in that short span of time. It gave me a lot of insights into the world of coding - so much in fact that I decided to continue with SheCodesPro to change careers, as I recently became unemployed. I didn't see that one coming but I'm really happy and grateful about it. It was the right ad at the right time and can't wait to keep on coding! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Got hooked on coding! Coming from a completely different background (Tibetan studies and teaching German) I enjoy the creativity in coding and seeing its outcome directly. It was fun and easy to follow!

I did the basic course and it is absolutely perfect for beginners! Everything comes in little bits and pieces, so you won't get overwhelmed. Every new challenge comes with a little hack you need to find out by yourself, so you get in the mode of solving problems and feel like a real hacker. If you need help, you can always find it in the awesome slack community. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

I first learned about SheCodes through an online ad and joined the free coding class and was highly interested. So I decided to enroll in the SheCodes Basics course. I had zero experience with coding and the programming languages and thought that coding would be inaccessible. But I learned the basics in a fun and didactic way. I especially loved the way how each lesson was divided into a basic information video and the challenge where I had to apply the basics directly. That helped me to understand each new concept before moving on to the next. I can't wait to study more with SheCodes!

I learned so much in three weeks and I never, ever imagined coding to be so much fun. It's somehow meditative and highly addictive. After 3 weeks I gained new skills, and can now do more and more implementations with confidence. I really enjoyed the flexibility of the courses because I could learn it while working full time. I'm a support agent, and I started this course because I'm trying to learn more about how the coding world works. The free class won me over and I decided to try the basic course, thanks also to Matt's ability to involve me with his teaching. I was not disappointed: the lessons were all very clear, the challenges were fun to try, and the satisfaction that I felt after successfully submitting my homework every week was huge! I may think to upgrade and continue with the other workshops, but for now, it was really nice to learn the bases of coding and I'm grateful that SheCodes exists!

I started my coding journey with SheCodes and Matt in the past year and by the end of the beginners workshop it was more than clear that basic knowledge wouldn't be enough and I wanted more!🤩 Being able to write my own code, its design and see its response and interaction with users is definitely mind blowing 🤯. Really enjoyed the workshop, although at times I felt like it went over issues a bit fast to actually understand the content well. For getting an overview and knowing what effect certain code will have it's definitely helpful for beginners though!

Out of pure curiosity how programming actually works I signed up for SheCodes. SheCodes allows every woman to learn programming. It was a lot of fun and broadened my horizons. My fullest recommendation!

I've always wanted to start coding. I've tried several (actually countless) online courses and unfortunately nothing was able to keep my attention for so long. In those, there are no interactions, no community. The most you can interact with those classes are by pressing play and pause on a video player - which might work for a few people but not for me. SheCodes is different. There's a community, there's support. They indeed start from scratch and that makes programming quite possible. And honestly, for me, this hasn't been only a life changing course but also an amazing self-confidence exercise. If you are reading this, you definitely can do it, girl!

Before the workshop, I didn't like the idea of programming. However, this changed after SheCodes. I really enjoyed all the processes and contributed to my career in UX/UI.

You can learn coding easily if you want and try. You can watch lesson's video, do challenges and ask questions every time you are confused. Every lesson teaches you clearly the subject and after doing the challenges, you will understand them very well.

After almost five months of SheCodes I can only repeat myself again and again: SheCodes is such a nice idea! I have learned so much and in such a relaxed evironment! I am very sad that it is already over, but I hope that there will be a new workshop some day! Thank you again!

This course was absolutely awesome and I would recommend it to everyone! Back when I was at university, I had the programming language "C" in my first semester. I totally hated it, because of the way how they taught us to code. With Matt it was completely different and super fun! I really enjoyed learning and I'm super happy to have participated in the workshop. Thank you so much!

My curiosity for a basic understanding of what this "coding" thing is, that everyone is talking about, has been answered 🧐 After going through all the (long) HTML & CSS lessons, the JavaScript chapters seemed super short. So my advice is: Join in and pull through (and don't let that long first chapter scare you off 😉). I wouldn't exclude joining other coding classes on shecodes.io some time soon - definitely hooked 😃

At first I was pretty unsure if I could manage this. But with Matt's comprehensive tutorials (and multiple rewinds of the videos) I've managed to build a website from scratch. In the end I didnt have to look up everything, which showed me that I had indeed improved and retained some knowledge. Highly recommended.

This was my first time coding and I could not have asked for a better way to get familiarized with the three coding languages. Easy to follow lessons and a great supportive community ready to answer any questions and doubts you might have. Very happy with the entire experience!

Before starting this course, I did not have any knowledge about coding -though I was always so curious about it! I have just finished SheCodes Basics and WOW! Within 3 weeks, I've learnt plenty about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and built a basic web page from scratch! Learning to code can be challenging, however, it is indeed rewarding too. Remember that, to really learn this stuff, you need to immerse yourself in it. Keep practising! I highly encourage anyone new to coding to enrol in this workshop. Do not hesitate!
