This is a very good course for a beginner. The provided videos and resources are great for someone without previous background, although I would recommend to go for the available longer terms to go for a deeper dive into coding.

Great course, lessons are well-structured, and you are able to follow the content and test your own ideas. I have enjoyed challenges and the short videos were more than suitable. Coming from academia, I must say that SheCodes course is a great "learning by doing" process. I really enjoy the pace of the course, it covers the basics and gives you enough time to absorb the knowledge. I also like that there is a friendly community that is open to helping everybody.
This was my third SheCodes workshop so far. It was a great leap forward (again), from what I could do before. I'm proud to say I have now built my first truly responsive website that has multiple pages. Thank you for everything, can't wait to continue with React!

A great course for the first coding experience. They won't touch deeper level of HTML, CSS and JS but they provide you many challenges which I found quite fun! I'd definitely recommend newbie coders!

I just completed the SheCodes Plus! I enjoyed working hard on the challenges and finishing the project creating a weather app practicing many new things. In this workshop I have also learned how to communicate with other developers, the tools that exist and how to search for my own resources when I am stuck in one of the tasks. Now I'm encouraged and inspired to study coding more than before. Can't wait to continue my studies with the next workshops.

At first, I was really skeptical to start learning to code. I was scared that I would not be able to understand it and will get lost fast. Matt's lessons are super clear and easy to understand. It helps a lot with your motivation to do more and to learn more. You are not getting discouraged at all, it's the exact opposite! I cannot wait to start SheCodes Plus :)
I can't rate this workshop enough. It allowed me to develop my knowledge with no recent experience. The step by step lessons were great and I was able to put the skills to practice. I already had a base of HTML and CSS before starting the course. What I needed to strengthen was my knowledge in JS and React. I found the explanations and the method very good and enjoyable. I feel I have made a good choice with this course (SheCodes MAX).

Even a few months ago I would not have imagined that one day I will sign up for a coding course and will actually be very excited about it. For the past 3 weeks I've had lots of fun learning about the basic principles of coding and I've been already able to implement especially the HTML part at my current job. As a total beginner, I found it surprisingly easy to understand. Matt explained every subject clear and by doing challenges every now and then you are learning by doing! I still have a long way to go, but until now im super happy with how its going!

I had some very basic HTML experience when I was 16y old, after that I had just forgot all about it. The only thing I remembered was that I really enjoyed it. So now after 20 years, I decided to try it again and I am so happy I did it. Shecodes.io is an amazing platform to start coding, it's fun, interactive and very understandable. This time I will not stop and I will continue learning. You guys are inspirational.
The course has been very good. The fact that you can do it whenever you have time to sit with your computer has been a lot of help. Other workshops or bootcamps can't fit my working schedule. The content is well structured and presented and explained in a practical and functional way, while the weekly deadline motivates you to keep on working regularly. Great course for absolute begginers, for those who are not sure if this is their thing and for people who, like me, learnt something some years ago and want to keep back on track and don't feel confident. Definetely I am joining the Plus workshop!
I can recommend this workshop to everyone! Make sure you take the time to focus on the assignments. Once you know how to work with it, it is really fun and great! I caught myself making adjustments and playing with the final project as you can freestyle and create beautiful pages. You lose track of time enjoying this. I work in publishing and because I love languages, I've always been curious about coding but never really found the right moment to learn. I decided to do the SheCodes Basic course while on maternity leave and really enjoyed the flexibility and the way each section of the course is divided into short, easily digestible chunks. I found coding to be unexpectedly creative and would definitely consider it if I decided to change my career in the future.
Doing the SheCode basic course has helped me to test and prove that this world is interesting for me and that it can be "within my reach and capabilities" if there is routine and effort. It is an interactive and useful way to learn the basics of web development, which can be applied in the future to any project I have in mind.
