It's a great way to immerse yourself in the world of Frontend
SheCodes Basics is a great course for making an introduction to the world of front-end development. Especially when you donβt really know what the essence of the profession is and what tasks you will have to solve in the process of work. In one learning space, you can learn the basics of not only html and CSS, but also JavaScript too. A cycle of short lessons prevents you from overloading your brain and getting confused when learning a new material. I want to thank the SheCodes team that allowed me to take the SheCodes Basics course.
Programming was something I never saw myself capable of doing. I had mistaken ideas about my suitability for it that were dissolved by Matt's first introductory session, ie the day I became obsessed with wanting to code. The SheCodes Basics Course has motivated me everyday to learn, practice and understand better. The lessons are clear, the challenges and homework concretise the knowledge gained and are challenging enough without being daunting! The team is on hand always to help out, and the female community is absolutely fantastic and so encouraging.
Before shecodes, I thought that coding is too boring. But now Iβm having fun here and learning new sophisticated things.
It was really fun and I learned a lot. I was a bit scared of Javascript at the beginning but turns out it's actually not that complicated if well explained :)

I really enjoyed all the SheCodes workshops and it was fun to make the final project and create a web page on my own. I enjoyed the basic SheCodes course and it really helped me to kick start my coding journey. Lectures are easy to follow, explanations are quite clear and the Slack chat is very useful when it comes to asking questions and getting support. They also provide learners with a lot of resources for projects, which is great. On the downside, I expected to get a deeper knowledge of JavaScript. That part was too basic and it felt like we could have gone a bit further. Apart from that, I loved everything else and I will definitely recommend this course to those looking for an introduction to coding.

SheCodes has given me the tools to expand my coding knowledge! I just finished the Responsive Workshop and I couldn't be happier. I believe it's an important step to take, given that most websites are being used on mobile phones primarly. I am eager to apply everything I've learned to real-life projects.
I have loved getting to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript more in depth during the SheCodes Plus course. While this course was more challenging, I never felt too overwhelmed and always got quick responses on Slack when I was stuck. I look forward to moving on to the SheCodes React course next!

I completed SheCodes Basic back in August and finished wanting more. I finally decided to continue learning and began SheCodes Plus at the beginning of this year. I am eager to continue learning and seeing progress each week.

Hi, I'm happy for having done this course. Honestly, at first I thought it was going to be so superficial that I would probably learn almost nothing but it surprised me for good. Matt gives very useful tips to search and be autonomous in case you need to. Loved the tutorials and the "coding for dummies" language used in them that makes it easier to digest. I really enjoyed doing the basic course. I think it's explained in a very simple way, which makes it easier for someone who doesn't know anything about coding to grasp the concepts. Moreover, I specially liked the fact that there are plenty of tasks to practice with, together with the final asingments. I've been able to test my abilities and see the results, which has been amazing!

The course is great! The best part of it is to have access to the community in Slack, so you don't feel alone when you are stuck in your code. I really enjoyed studying and will def recommend it!
Matt explains everything in a really accesible way and the team is super helpful. Recommended even if you have no coding experience and regardless of your professional background. Also very manageable while working a full-time job as it is split up in shorts lessons and you can orgainze your own time.

Being a full language and literature scholar and working in the editorial industry, I didn't think the free coding class would spark much interest in me. But I'm so glad I was wrong: I really connected with the essence of the project since the beginning, and especially with how Matt was able to transmit his knowledge for real beginners. Enrolling on SheCodes Basics gifted me with 3 full weeks of fun, honestly! I didn't feel like the content was "dumbed down", on the contrary: it was highly specific and relevant, yet understandable. I had loads of fun coding along with SheCodesRadio, and the challenges were real challenges: they put me against the wall and required me to deeply understand the materials, which was really fun for once. No pressure, just an entertaining dare. All in all: absolutely would recommend. 10/10 β

I tried a variety of coding classes over the course of a year. I can confidently state that the technique is fantastic and allows you to track your progress in a very articulate way. I am a lawyer with no prior coding experience, and I believe I have learned a lot. Fighting to narrow the gender gap is critical; by gaining these skills, we are all encouraging girls and women into the tech.

Before SheCodes, I'm a total beginner in coding. I tried to learn coding in Python years ago but I end up giving up because I couldn't understand why I'm doing these only by reading books. During 3 weeks of workshops, Matt has explained everything step by step, patiently guiding us and we don't need to worry about getting stuck since we could ask for help on Slack. SheCodes has such a warm community and I am willing to upgrade to attend more workshops with Matt! With SheCodes, I'm not alone.

These three weeks of the SheCodes Basics Workshop have been both awesome and challenging. I really enjoyed learning the very basics of coding specially HTML and CSS. JavaScript is been definitely more challenging to learn for me but I somehow managed to complete the challenges which makes me proud and stoked! Matt is an awesome teacher and he explains it all in a very simple and understandable way. Bruno and Joao have been super nice and helpful as well and all the coders from the slack platform are super keen to learn and help to each other which makes the whole coding experience really fun and friendly. This course was a very good experience to feel more confident about coding, even if it is a basic course. I'd already studying HTML, CSS but it's my first time learning JavaScript, and I was too scared to start this part. The lessons were well explained, so I found the bugs quicker than I expected.

I'm so happy I decided to venture into the world of coding with SheCodes. It's just the beginning and I can say that it hasn't been easy for me since I've never been tech-savvy.
