Very enjoyable and digestible introduction to coding! Prior to the course I had no knowledge on the subject, but the material is well explained and the support provided by the community is great. Definitely gained new (basic) skills as well as an understanding of coding.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Workshops. It was a while that i wanted to join SheCodes family, but due to working duties, I've never had enough time until this year. I really appreciated the quick and prompt responses SheCodes' teachers provide to students. Moreover I love how the workshops are built: they are very user-friendly, immediate, easy-to-understand and up-to-date. I really recommend SheCodes!

Learning how to build a weather app with HTML, CSS and Vanilla JS has been a long road but I feel thrilled because now I do have a better understanding of how JS works and all the incredible things you can do with this programming language. They don't lie when they say SheCodes is accessible to absolute beginners! Each lesson is extremely clear and precise, Matt makes it easy to follow -not saying that no smoke will come out of your ears at all if you started with no previous knowledge of coding, but I obviously expected it. I discovered the world that opens the satisfaction of creating a functioning code ;) Looking forward to taking the next workshop!
SheCodes made me confirm my choices of wanting to change career path. It was a good introduction to what i hope will be an interesting adventure.

I really loved doing this workshop! It amazes me how I didn't know much about coding or creating an app a month ago, and I was able to build one from scratch in such a short amount of time. The format of the course makes it really easy to manage and play out each lesson. Yet Matt doesn't always disclose everything you need to know, prompting you to think and learn to find solutions. This course is fun, creative and has opened a world of future possibilities.

With many friends who are working in front-end development, I always wondered if this was something I would like to do. The SheCodes basis course is a great way to explore the basics of front-end development. The course set up was great and easy to do next to your normal fulltime job. Learning a new skill will always be beneficial, weather you are working in marketing, design, tech or you want to become a front-end developer. I would encourage everyone to try something new and do the courses at SheCodes.

I didn't have a clue of what meant Coding until I met a friend who talked to me about SheCodes. I searched it on internet and I apply for the 3 weeks course. It took me more than 5 hours a week to understand everything as I am a complete beginner in coding and english is not my mother tongue either. I advise the course to anyone but be prepare to work and not let the weekly homework for the last minute.
This course has opened a window for me into a whole new world. I never thought I would enjoy anything related to computers, but thanks to Matt and the SheCodes Team I've learnt that coding can be creative and not impossible to understand at all!
This was the course I needed to finally learn the the basis of coding! Surprisingly accesible, encouraging and motivating!

This workshop is amazing!! I did other coding workshops before and knew what a
I've moved to Spain after marriage and I was looking for a job here but it was not so easy for me. I was very frustrated but then I noticed that I had to develop a set of skills which is in high demand and that was coding. I was very afraid of trying coding because I took a class many years ago and I was not so good at it and it did not interest me much. But since becoming a developer sounds like a good option to me while I have lots of free time, so I decided to give it a try. After taking a free introduction class, I had a feeling that I could also do this like many other girls. I had zero knowledge about coding (although I learned it many years ago, I did not remember anything), each lesson helped me greatly to understand concepts and especially each challenge/project and interacting on Slack tremendously helped me. Deciding to take SheCodes is one of the best decisions I've made this year and I'm really looking forward to taking other levels, getting one step closer to become a developer! If others can do it, why not me? All you need is this mentality! If I can do it, you can also do it!!

I am impressed on how easy I absorb the contents! With no previous idea on these languages, I got the basis and now I feel I have the fundamentals to start exploring their usages. The way each module is introduced is like a game with its challenges, so you learn as a child, best way to get the knowledge!

I have studied a bit of programming in college, but it was a bad experience... I heard about SheCodes and love the way you learn and how easy it seems.
I have really learned a lot in this course despite being at a beginner level. Matt not only teaches you the basics of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, but he also teaches you throughout the course methodology so you can learn on your own once the course is over. The concepts are clear and easy to keep up with, plus the Slack community is a great support to help you when you're stuck.
I have to say that when I started this course I had no idea all the things we could do by coding. I understand this is just the beginning, but I'm quite surprised how much I'd enjoyed this course. Now every time I'm on a different website I analyze everything and understand a little bit more about how they are built which is fun!

You learn while you practice, FOR REAL. Each video has its own exercise and each week has its final homework to test everything you have learned. I had no idea about coding and now I feel comfortable with the basics. Let's keep learning!
I was overwhelmed at the beginning of the course. I didn’t expect that I would be able to understand the fundamentals of coding. And then the joy has started from lesson to lesson. Matt and the team were well built for this course. Can’t wait for the one. I truly recommended it!
This Responsive course has opened my coding horizon. Having done all of the courses, I am looking forward in using the skills to help create websites/apps for others and myself.
We often think we don't have enough time in the day for everything we want or need to do. Don't let that stop you, when there is a will there is a way. You will find yourself coding in the evening instead of watching Netflix, making the time at weekends or getting up earlier so you can do a couple of chapters before you start work. When there is motivation, surprisingly, you have more time.
For me, the most challenging part of the learning process is the first step. SheCodes made it much better! Since the first class, you can start to code and it is super dynamic! I strongly recommend the workshop.

I joined the free coding class without any specific expectations and enjoyed it so much that I ended up registering for the SheCodes basics course. I don't regret it at all, I would say I made a great decision because Matt explains everything making it look easy and that makes it more dynamic to learn. I also loved that in every lesson you get to practice what you learnt, which I believe is what makes you actually learn it. I personally liked coding because it is quite interactive and you also feel fulfilled when you see in a visual way what you created.

I am excited and handled different lines of interior design. Every day I have to create visual concepts, communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate consumers.

I have been wanting to learn a bit more about coding for a while, and the basics course has allowed me to get familiar with the basics very quickly. The lessons are clearly explained, the pace is easy to follow and in the end you are able to create something that seemed impossible only 3 weeks ago :)
Really enjoyed the course, Matt is a great instructor building up the content just in the right way for us to process all the new information and motivating us all the way through. As someone who had absolutely no prior knowledge about coding this course has been super insightful. The weekly homework & Slack support both from peers and the SheCodes team is also a huge plus of this course.

Great course for beginners and as a refresher for me since I had used HTML and CSS in the past, and great to learn Javascript as well. The lessons are short and the course is very hands-on with small challenges to complete along the way. Also Matt gave some good tips on how to set up VS Code and how to keep your code clean. Overall a good experience!

I wanted to learn coding but I always thought it was complicated to learn. That’s not true at all! Matt makes it so easy to understand, and the practical exercises give you time to try and learn at your own pace. There’s a great team and an amazing community that can help you whenever you feel stuck with the coding as well, and I think that keeps you motivated 💗. This was my “summer challenge”, to learn something new. Now I’m able to code my own projects using HTML, CSS, and JS !!
Coding always intimidated me as I consider myself someone "technologically inept" but this course has given me courage that coding is something I not only very much enjoy but can do and do well.

I had a lot of fun with the first workshop! Code is more interesting than I ever thought and I really enjoyed the challenges! The flexibility of the course helped me a lot and I can't wait to learn even more.
The videos are easy to follow and the lessons are interactive.
After 3 weeks I have learnt a lot but, most importantly, I have gained much more confidence and I feel I am ready now to keep learning so as to achieve my career goals in coding. I really liked the way the course is structured. It was flexible enough for me to watch the video of each lesson whenever I had the time for it and then I could put into practice all I learnt through the challenges and exercises. It has been great fun! The feeling of success when solving the challenges was very stimulating.

With SheCodes you can learn to program from 0. The format they offer is very dynamic thanks to the weekly challenges and homework. In three weeks I have learned a lot about HTML, CSS and JS.
I have loved this workshop. I had never done any programming before and found it really easy to follow. Matt makes everything seem really easy and the workshop is very well organized, making it really easy to follow. What's more, you get help through the slack chat almost immediately if you have any doubt.
I was really nervous at the beginning because I've never coded and honestly it has always sounded like something intimidating. After finishing my first couple of lessons I realized that coding is basically like math: you have a set of formulas that you need to get X result. SheCodes made coding very captivating and not intimidating at all, so these last three weeks have been very eye-opening and now I would love to continue to build upon the knowledge I gained. Also I 100% will encourage other women I know on how coding is more accessible than how it's advertised.
