Teaching was clear and concise. The projects gave you a good amount of challenge and I was able to pick up the information very quickly.
The SheCodes Basic workshop is a fantastic way to get started in the world of Web Development. Coming from an education background myself, I really enjoyed Matt's teaching style and the way the workshop was broken down into fun and interactive chunks. This made it simple to follow and easier to understand the more challenging concepts. The workshop is very well organised and help is always at hand via the Slack communities. Very good course! I enjoyed that it covered everything progressively, building up to a fully functioning app, hosted online. I also found that it had just the right balance of incentives to get you to keep going and progressing on the course without having constraining hard deadlines.
A GREAT COURSE- for those who are willing to put in the effort and consistency would recommend alongside helpful YouTube videos.

I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. Initially, I was nervous I would not be able to grasp much of the content, considering I have no experience in coding. However, I surprised myself with how much I was actually able to understand and be able to implement that into the final project. As well as being very informative, it was FUN!
I have enjoyed this course learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. As a beginner, I found the lessons very approachable and enjoyable. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy place to start coding.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course! My only previous experience I had with coding was when I designed blogs 10 years ago, which required some understanding of HTML and CSS. JavaScript was completely new to me, but Matt's way of teaching made it easier to understand. SheCodes basics definitely made me want to continue learning about coding and I stay hopeful in a future career change into tech / design!
My knowledge of Javascript has really advanced since completing this course. I feel like I have a much deeper understanding of how to call APIs and how to create various functions. Thanks SheCodes!
I have loved the SheCodes Basic's course. Matt's instructions are clear & helpful & i'm so proud of the page ive managed to create with 3 weeks tuition. I found Javascript very tricky as a complete beginner, but HTML and CSS brought back memories of coding for fun on my MySpace profile about 20 years ago. This course has helped my feel accomplished and proactive as i decide whether to pursue a change in career.
Using pure CSS to code was a challenge but deepened my knowledge on the language. Definitely recommend.
I found it very easy to begin learning such a foreign set of languages through SheCodes. I will be continuing my education journey with them in this new world of coding!

I really enjoyed the Responsive course. I had to take a bit of a break in the middle, but found it quite easy to pick back up when I was able to return.
SheCodes Plus has been a huge challenge for me but the feeling I've got having completed it is so satisfying! I can't wait to get started on SheCodes Responsive!

Over the past decade or so, I have served as the head of various departments of technical engineers and developers. During this time, my daily routine has transitioned from hands-on engineering towards managing, strategising, and coordinating projects. Though I've made a few attempts at coding, the knowledge I've acquired has largely been left to gather dust in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, I've always harboured a desire to play a more hands-on role. With this in mind I decided to to reignite my passion and embarked on my SheCodes journey, starting with the Basics course. It's been nothing short of a revelation. This course has helped me reconnect with my natural coding ability, offering an enjoyable and exciting way back into the world of coding. The material was engaging and the videos are knowledgeable and approachable. The fact that I could study at my own pace, fitting the course around my schedule, was an added bonus. It was a joy to return to the nuts and bolts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after such a long hiatus. What I particularly appreciated was the process of re-engaging with problem-solving, the kind of critical thinking required to build something from the ground up. The course reminded me of how much I enjoy the creativity involved in coding, the challenge of making something functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's been a pleasure to have that part of my brain engaged again, and to feel my passion for coding rekindled. Looking ahead, I am particularly excited about starting the SheCodes Max course. I feel it is the perfect next step to dive deeper into coding and explore its many facets that blend creativity and engineering. So, to anyone considering a coding course, I would say go for it. Whether you are a seasoned developer or a beginner, SheCodes provides a fantastic environment for learning, growing and reigniting your passion for coding. It certainly did for me.
It took me a while to start the course as I thought it would be too had for me, but honestly it was so easy to follow and you had a step by step guide and help along the way. I really feel like I have learned a lot from this course and proud of myself that I have finished this course. Matt really explained everything so well. I can't wait to learn more and hopefully start a career soon from this.

I am really enjoying Shecodes. They have an excellent way of breaking down code and making it less daunting. it is great that you can re watch the video's to help you understand where you may have made a mistake.
The SheCodes workshop has not only taught me HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and many more technologies. It has also increased my confidence, helping me overcome imposter syndrome and enhance my problem solving skills whether this be through the challenges, weekly homework or final projects. I would highly recommend SheCodes to women who are trying to up skill and enter the tech industry. The workshop has provided me with a strong foundation in front end development, getting hands on coding experience creating projects such as landing pages, a React weather app and a responsive portfolio. Even if you are not looking to get into the industry, the workshops are great for learning a new skill and having fun along the way. I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.

Compared to other coding courses I looked at, this one was so much easier to understand because Matt doesn't constantly use all the coding jargon until you really get to grips with it and understand why you're doing it. I had a great time learning. Unlike other coding resources, this was very interactive and had lots of fun to do. I was looking forward to the projects and to testing out the knowledge. I also liked being able to work and learn at my own pace but still being encouraged to work to a deadline.

The SheCodes basic course was really good as an introduction to coding. I successfully completed my project, something I wouldn't have thought I would be able to do 3/4 weeks ago. It was flexible, which is essential when you're a working Mum of three! I could easily apply an extension when I needed an extra day or two to finish things up.

For a while, I wanted to learn a new skill and coding had stuck out to me. However, I had no idea were to start. There were so many different programming languages, and courses that it was all overwhelming. Luckily, I came across a free workshop from SheCodes to introduce me to the coding. I really enjoyed this and chose to start SheCodes Basics and see how I found it. I am so glad I did, I really enjoyed completing challenges and designing my own project at the end. Now that I have completed it, I feel so accomplished and might even do another SheCodes course in future!
