If you are unsure whether you'd like a career in coding, then SheCodes Basics is definitely a beneficial course to take. All videos and format were clear to follow along. If you have any questions along the way then Slack has been a great tool to get help.
To be honest, this course was very difficult about to JavaScript lessons, it wasn't easy to understand and I needed a lot of help from the teachers and I also had to inform myself with other videos. I thought maybe I wouldn't be able to understand and that I should finish the course but I was wrong. To Anyone reading this review I want to say don't give up!
She codes has taught me not only to code but also to develop an idea from scratch- learning how to plan and develop a personal project. I have learned various languages and how to use external libraries which I think is very useful for future programs I wish to create.
I am very grateful for this organization that helps women in the field of coding so that they can find the right path for their future. thanks a lot.

Easy to follow and engaging lessons. Enjoyed the challenges which followed each lesson. Course is structured perfectly so that you can manage your learning around your time constraints - great for someone who has two kids!
This has been my favourite project so far! We have learned an incredible amount in such a short space of time. I never thought I would be able to grasp a clear understanding of a complex task like coding a world clock at this stage of my learning. Having been interested in getting to know how to code for the longest time, SheCodes Basics gave me the opportunity to get a taste of what it is all about. With an easy to follow video tutorials and insightful coding exercises, I'd really recommend those interested to try the workshop themselves!
The most challenging, but most rewarding workshop so far. It's a steep learning curve but Matt and the team are there to support you each step of the way. I've really enjoyed using React and look forward to utilizing it more in the future!

This was a great workshop! I really like that I was encouraged to use more advanced code at a fast pace. I am impressed with how quickly I was able to build a new project that I can include in my future portfolio.
Enjoyed this course but a lot of tutorial videos would show you one thing and the challenge to follow would be something unrelated and not yet taught which was frustrating. Also, having to use codesandbox when the tutorial videos are shown in VS Code made it more difficult to learn.
I enjoyed this course. SheCodes challenge you every step of the way, but the lessons are easy to follow and it's so satisfying to see projects come together!

Great and simple course with great support
This 1 week has elevated my skills and gave me a better understanding of JavaScript. Questions I had in my first 2 weeks - I found the answers in the add on, such as, grids, animation and so much more. Really enjoyed this!!
I completed a responsive design coding course that was well-structured and informative. The practical exercises and knowledgeable instructor made it a worthwhile experience. I recommend it to anyone looking to learn about responsive design.
I initally started with the SheCodes Basics which I thoroughly enjoyed. I then took the leap to do SheCodes plus and have enjoyed building the weather app! I am beyond excited to see where my coding journey takes me!

This workshop has been amazing, I started off so nervous not knowing anything about coding or what it entailed. The lessons were easy to follow, informative and left me feeling confident about my abilities to complete the challenges and homework given at the end of each week. I work a 9-5 full time job so I would complete my lessons after I finish work. There wasn't one time where I did not look forward to logging in after work and getting stuck in to the new lessons. It has been such an enjoyable process and has left me wanting to learn more and more! I am very excited to see where my journey will take me now.
Before SheCodes I couldn't even understand coding as a concept, what it meant or how it existed. And in the space of 3 weeks I have gone from that, to being able to create a website by myself! Matt explains things in a really great way that lets you take it at your own pace, and the slack channel provided me all the support I could need. SheCodes has made coding totally addictive and I can't wait to continue my journey and keep learning.

I recently completed the SheCodes Plus course and overall, I found it to be quite challenging. However, with the help of the SheCodes team and their well-explained videos, I was able to successfully navigate my way through the course material. One thing that I really appreciated about the course was how organised it was. The videos were broken down into manageable chunks, which made it easier to focus on one concept at a time. Additionally, the course structure was clear and easy to follow, which helped me stay on track throughout the program. Overall, I would highly recommend SheCodes Plus to anyone looking to learn how to code. While it was definitely challenging, the course was well-structured and the support provided by the SheCodes team was top-notch. I feel confident that I have gained a solid foundation in coding and am excited to continue learning and growing in this field.

I absolutely loved this course! It gives you a solid foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript which you can then use to make your own projects. I thoroughly enjoyed all the challenges/homework and really loved the fact that not everything is 'spoon-fed' to you. You are encouraged to do your own research to figure out how to do things. Look forward to continuing onto the next course!

An easy to access and well designed workshop programme, I found the workshops challenging and they took longer than stated.
SheCodes Basics was a great way to start learning Web Development! The lessons are thorough, easy to follow up and the homework and project really put together all the information we learned over the last weeks. Two of my favourite things about the last weeks: the way the course is designed still pushes you to research on your own, which I found challenging but rewarding. Also, the fact that the course allows for self management - you can choose the times that better suit you, there are deadlines but all the classes are recorded so people who work or have other responsibilities can manage to learn and build a new career for themselves. Thank you, Matt and the team, for making it fun to learn a new language π we'll meet again in SheCodes Max π
Great course for beginners. Loved the little tasks after each lesson, it's a great way to learn and reinforce something.
It was an intense 8-week period that involved a lot of learning and hard work and sometimes tears. But it was all worth it in the end because I made my very first weather app from scratch and nothing can beat the ecstatic feeling when everything works and behaves the way you wanted it to. I have learned so much and can't wait to continue learning more.

This week was amazing too! I really enjoyed learning about CSS background, CSS transform and CSS grids! The HTML class manipulation is the trickiest one amongst all the topics I've studied in the last few days, but once you understand all the steps you have to take, it becomes super fun! Even this time Matt was really good at explaining everything.
Loved this workshop! I was an absolute beginner and Matt went through everything step by step and set challenges at the end of each section allowing me to ask any questions and test out my knowledge! Would recommend to everyone interested in starting! I can't wait to complete the others!

SheCodes is a a great way to learn how to code from scratch and you make amazing work in just a short amount of time! Before SheCodes, I didn't know a single thing about coding and was a little intimidated by it, but now I can confidentially build and work on my own projects. It is also helping me with career prospects and really helping me develop my analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a chance to showcase my creativity. Each lesson is tailored amazingly, especially the way Matt explains and breaks concepts down. Would highly recommend this to anyone. It's honestly so worth it and is so fun! :)

I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop! As a complete beginner to HTML, CSS and JavaScript, I have learnt so much in 3 short weeks. This is a really well structured, fun and thorough introduction into coding. It doesn't assume you have base knowledge like a lot of platforms, so is very accessible in that way. I feel more confident about learning more now, it would have been difficult to gain this kind of knowledge in a self directed way without feeling overwhelmed.
I love love love shecodes. Its an awesome place to learn coding and believe me have tried several places. From udemy to codeacademy to youtube but none beats shecodes. Shecodes made learning code so easy and fun. Its quite funny but i sometimes dream about bugs on my line of code then wake up thinking how to solve the bug i have or how to complete an assignment. I recommend shecodes 1000% for any one who is interested in learning how to code. Thank you.

SheCodes Basics is a good starting point for those interested in coding. The lessons are bite-size thus easily fit around a busy schedule. The final project is a culmination of what you've been taught but also allows for some creative freedom.

Fun and informative sessions which are easy to follow
This was a fun and extremely challenging workshop. I had to use embed websites, images and video and a lot of CSS to make all the homework and the final project Responsive but I am very happy with the result. Matt's help was crucial as usual and I can't wait for the next chapter!
I had tried coding before and had definitely not enjoyed it. After a few months of deliberation, I finally decided to join SheCodes, and I can say I have been truly enjoying it. Matt is an excellent teacher and I can't wait to start my next workshop.

I had an amazing 2 weeks of fun creating this Dictionary App. I had fun learning everything React. I can not wait to produce more React Projects in the future!
I am a very creative and curious person but also love things that require problem-solving and cognitive stimulation. When I found Shecodes, I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to try out coding and see what it would be like to create my own landing page from scratch, but I felt like I was diving into the 'deep-end' with no prior knowledge or experience. I thought I would have to be super intelligent and love maths/science to code. I was so wrong! Shecodes showed me how taking the risk was worth it. I fell in love with coding during the 3 weeks of trying it out! Matt and everyone at Shecodes provide a welcoming and supportive space for beginners and people of all skill levels to dive into coding. Matt's engaging and easy-to-follow video lessons, as well as the creative and fun challenges/homework provided, have meant that I have gained so much confidence over the 3-week course in a field that I thought I wouldn't thrive. SheCodes is an amazing platform for all women to become curious and be creative through interactive coding workshops! I am intrigued by technology, coding and digital development but also have a passion for gender equality, and so I love the ethos of Shecodes at what they are doing for women worldwide; from opening up potential career paths to women in a sector where female representation is sparse, to even providing people with a starting point to develop and flourish within a new hobby/ interest. I am now going to continue coding and maybe look into careers in the Tech industry. I'd highly recommend giving coding a shot, especially through a Shecodes workshop!

As a beginner to coding, this course is both comprehensive and enjoyable. The online community with Slack meant I always felt I had somewhere to go at anytime if I needed help.
