I was a bit worried at first because I wasn't sure if I wanted to pursue a career in coding however, SheCodes helped me realize that I do enjoy coding and I don't regret my career choice.
The SheCodes Basic Workshop has been one of the most empowering courses I have undertaken. The content has been fun, with space for creativity, and with challenges which encourage you to learn and research on your own rather than being lazily spoon-fed information.
A nice workshop for the start, with good explanations, and I, really liked the ability to see possible solutions after you submit your variant on challenges.
The Responsive add-on was as enjoyable as the other SheCode courses - really happy to have consolidated my learning with the add-on projects

I had a great time learning how to create responsive web pages following Matt's classes! This was a bit different to the first two courses and adds another layer to my coding knowledge!
SheCodes helped me start JavaScript like it is really easy and not at all scary. Now it has been near six months that I started SheCodes Basics and I knew nothing about JS and React, and today I finished React, and It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. Thanks to SheCodes and Matt Delac. I highly recommend SheCodes to women who are interested in coding but don't know how to start.
Juggling full time work and a family of two young children is a challenge, the desire to up-skill myself is also a priority for me. Data Analytics and coding interests me greatly. I stumbled upon SheCodes and it was a perfect option that allowed me to study at my own pace and in my own time. The lessons and challenges are short and sweet. This allowed me to fit studying in my very busy week. I would highly recommend this course for anyone interested in learning the basics of coding.

I am really enjoing all that I am learning with the coding workshops and the fact that the projects at the end are feeling enjoyable. There are moments of sheer frustration where my code will not run and I know that there is always support if I need it but the feeling of pure joy and elation when I have managed to find the error, mistake or typo in my code is a type of exhilaration I'm not sure I have never experienced before. It is immensly satifying.
The workshop from Shecodes was very easy to follow! I believe it allows a skillset to be easily achieved, compared to being self-taught, further motivating an interest into the tech world.
I loved completing the SheCodes basic course. The classes were broken down into simple steps and I cant wait to start the next course.

Initially going in to this project I thought I had a good understanding of coding through past experiences of self-teachings. However, after taking this course I have been able to gain a greater comprehension of past teachings than perviously, whilst understanding why certain value inputs are actioned. I have learnt more tips, tricks, gained more confidence in coding in my spare time, and now have successfully gained 3 completed projects.

I think I have finally found my 'thing'! I work full time, have two dogs and a one year old as well as renovating a house and the flexibility of this course is amazing! I can sit down and learn for my well-being and future whilst being motivated by the deadlines but not over-working myself with the option to extend.

I have attempted to learn to code numerous times - to no avail. But after coming across and registering for SheCodes the journey has been incredible! I love the way it is broken into digestible chunks and there is so much guidance. I really enjoyed the course and feel like I have a good understanding of all we have learnt - I cannot wait to see what the coding world has in store for me.

Another section of the course done! Definately challenging, but in the best way. The course is designed to make you really think about what you are creating, and the support throughout is phenomenal. The fact that the lessons are recorded means that anything you need to revisit is there for you too. I never thought learning could be this satisfying!
I am so glad that I decided to sign up for SheCodes, doing the Basics course has really hooked me on coding, I was already interested but this has really solidified my passion, and I cannot wait to learn more and more and make a new career in coding for myself!

I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to get into coding. I've really enjoyed SheCodes Responsive, it's great practice completing the challenges at each point and then the final project at the end of the course, thanks Matt.
This is the second project using React, following the Weather App. I found myself having a better understanding of using React, especially when deciding when to create a separate component, and how to refactor my codes in those components. On top of that, I feel more comfortable using .map() and conditional rendering, all of these techniques made my codes cleaner, shorter and easier to be read by myself and possibly by other developers. I look forward to learn more and deeper about React to create more sophisticated applications in the future!

This workshop is very beginner friendly and approachable for anyone trying to adventure into coding.
This has been such a great course, I have learnt so much in the last couple of weeks. Going from no knowledge to completing a project. The lessons are easy to follow and very logical. There is alwasy help on hand if you get stuck and it's great to be able to see the probles that other people run into as well which helps you identify issues in your own code. Great community and it has been very rewarding completeing the project!
I have just started to learn coding, after a long time of hesitation. A little bit afraid, thinking that would be too hard or too difficult to learn. Happy to say after few weeks of making the first steps in coding together with SheCodes, that Mat is making everything to seem so easy. I am now so willing to learn more and more!

In less than 3 weeks I managed to transition from a total beginner to being able to create a landing page from scratch. I found the course was well-paced and every unit was building directly on the previous one. The challenges reinforced the knowledge gained while the homework and project made it very practical and hands-on.
Such a great add-on to the basics course! You learn a lot in just a few lessons that will really take your basic skills to the next level.

I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics. It was fun even with some of the natural frustrations of not getting why things weren't working. Apparently that is all part of the fun. Onto SheCodes Plus I go 🤩🤩
The structure of the course allows you to practice what you've learnt immediately and the weekly project summarises all the knowledge acquired during the lessons. You can go at your own pace and learn whenever you have the time.
This workshop was a great addition to my learning on web development. It included really insightful lessons and advice for web content creation. Also, the final project of a portfolio website means I can show the skills I have learnt and begin to showcase my new work! Each week is a challenge but in an enjoyable and engaging way, I would definitely recommend SheCodes!
This is the first time I was being introduced to Node.js and React.js. My goal was to rebuild the Vanilla Javascript Weather App to a React app. I needed to refactor my codes into different components, in a way that they would appear clearer, but still maintain the same, or even better performance. I was introduced to useState and useEffect, which are confusing at first, but so powerful. Overall, I understand why React.js is used by most developers thanks to its effectiveness, and this is a must-learn as a front-end developer.
I have had so much fun completing this workshop. I am a person who didn't really think I would be any good at coding, but wanted a challenge and I am so proud of myself for doing this. Thank you for allowing me to create a page about a passion of mine.

SheCodes has unlocked a new creative passion within me! Previously I thought learning to code would be highly complex and not visual or creative - but this has proved me wrong! I've been excited to log on and complete all the lessons and projects, and realised how creative you can be. The lesson structures are easy to follow and explained incredibly well. Using slack and Athena have also helped me throughout the course, and made me feel a high sense of accomplishment. I can't wait to book onto the following levels.
Just completed the She Codes Basic-add on course (Intro to Web Development) . The course content was interesting and challenging, but presented in a way that was easy to follow. I like the practical approach to learning coding, which allowed me to apply what I learned immediately. There's a project that we had to create at the end, and Matt, the instructor, was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the project, and I felt that I was able to learn a lot through this experience. I also like the fact that everyone's project is unique and different, despite us all learning the same thing. I can't wait to continue my coding journey with She Codes!

I struggled to understand some of the steps as when Matt was coding, the screen was jumping and I wasn't sure exactly what the changes were. I had to rewind the videos a lot to be on the same page.

This is a really fun workshop and final project! The React concepts were explained well and the challenges and final project really help you to understand the potential of learning/using React. There is also the opportunity to incorporate all the skills learned on the previous workshops as well.
