After trying to teach myself to code, I decided I needed a more structured approach, and after much research opted for SheCodes. I am genuinely astonished at how much I have learnt in a short period of time. The program is incredibly well thought out, and the support systems and tools are phenomenal. I am enrolled for the whole programme, so am looking forward to the next chapter. SheCodes is a life changing experience.

The course is amazing! I learned so much in such a short amount of time and can't wait to learn more. The structure of the course allows you learn at your own pace and is broken down into short manageable videos so it's easy to review. I enjoyed the workshop very much. The thing that kept me motivated and on track was the deadline for the projects and the challenges that I had to submit before the deadline. I'm not very enthusiastic to move forward and improve my coding skills.
After years of working with developers, I wanted to take coding into my own hands and enrolled in this course. It has given me a good starting foundation. It was a great pleasure to go through the whole basic mode, deadlines kept me accountable additionally Matt is a wonderful teacher. The whole course is well-designed and easy to follow. Would recommend it to anyone at the very beginning of the coding journey.
During this workshop, I acquired some advanced pure CSS skills to make my website responsive and user-friendly on all devices - mobiles, tablets, desktops etc. I included google maps, Spotify playlist, Youtube videos inside responsive grids, so that not only they provide adequate and convenient information for users, they also look and feel natural as built-ins inside the website.
Really enjoyed this course more than I anticipated. I feel that I learnt a lot within the space of two weeks. The longer I work on a project the more I enjoy it and find new ways to change things.
I appreciate the Shecodes team which provided us with an excellent opportunity to participate in such great workshops. Although I was familiar with coding in the other aspects, it was a fascinating and joyful procedure and also it is very practical for beginners in coding. Moreover, I have been introduced to so much information and learned how I can seek appropriate methods to improve my coding skill. I highly recommend this course to everyone who wants to learn coding in a simple and fast way.

This add-on course provided some extra lessons, mainly for CSS, while helping build upon what was learned in the initial basics course. The project was fun and a good challenge and it brought together the information learned in the lessons.
I loved using the skills i've acquired to complete this world clock project! i really enjoyed learning about moment.js and using it to create a sleek and sophisticated world clock app.

Learning to code was not something I would have ever thought would have interested me, until one time during Covid I tried a free weekly course to try and pass time with and ended up being hooked. After a that I knew that I wanted to pursue coding in a more serious note and see where this could take me. Following sometime from then I looked around for coding courses that I thought best suited my needs and would still be challenging whilst still being able to complete them. That was when I discovered SheCodes and decided to commit. Finishing the basics course has only further piqued my interest into my introduction to the world of coding. SheCodes have made learning fun and interactive, with help also close by with a friendly community.
It's been a great few weeks; challenging at times, but so rewarding. I feel like I've learned a tremendous amount in such a short space of time, and it's been fantastic to learn a cool new skill in such a fun way. This course has given me a solid foundation in the principles of CSS, HTML and Javascript and has left me eager to learn more. I'm excited to see where my coding learning journey takes me next. I started the workshop with zero coding experience, and I learnt so much. Matt explains everything in a very clear way, the videos and challenges are so well organised that makes it feel very easy and not overwhelming at all. I would definitely recommend it.
Absolutely brilliant. As a newbie, I thought I had zero chance of getting the hang of it, but I did it! It was challenging at times, at it should be, but there is a great community to support and help you. I would highly recommend this course to everyone, and let's get more girls coding!

Shecodes have motivated me naturally to complete my very first project from start to end! Usually online learning is difficult to complete due to limited self-discipline, and lack of motivation. However, the pace that the lecture is taught at, and the hands-on method works well for me. I really enjoyed the homework and the challenges.

In the beginning, I thought, how would I understand anything by just doing? But I soon realised that it is very helpful to do, try, search and ask if you don't understand what's wrong with your code. Once you understand the basics, you know you can do it! (Of course, with lots more practice :)) I will do a more advanced workshop after this one. Thank you, Danielle
Great course for beginners. I knew nothing about coding before the course, and still managed to understand every lesson with ease. At the end of the 3 weeks, I was already able to build a fairly detailed page from scratch! Highly recommend.
This was one of the best investements I have made for myself! Super proud of everything I have learned, it was really eye-opening to see for myself how all web pages are built, I mean we use them everyday so I enjoyed building some! The course is written in an easy to follow order, very understandable especially for a complete beginner like me, it's very easy to jump from a lesson to another and feel like you are learning so much. I loved having a community of individuals who are starting on the same path and I loved having the support from the team, it helped massively when I didn't know something or I was stuck! Will defintely sign up for the next one, as soon as I will be able to afford it!

I have just completed my Basics workshop. and I have to say so far .. coding isn't as scary as I thought that it would be. Coming into this as someone who doesn't have a technology background or knowledge in the field and Never tried coding before. The classes were quick, easy, simple to understand and complete. For what you may have needed more help to do, you have a built in community who willing to help, explain and guide you through the process of self-learning. So that - YOU- get completely comfortable knowing and understanding what you are doing and why you do it. The classes are pre -recorded so you can complete the challenges at your own pace. At the very beginning I was nervous, but after my first challenge I stepped away from it and realised "Hey! I just coded something!" and it gave me a real sense of accomplishment. If you have been thinking of Coding for awhile but have been putting it off (like I did). I would completely suggest not to hesitate and Just Do It ! you won't regret it.
I really enjoyed this add-on and learnt so much more about embeds, grids and how to make projects responsive on smaller devices.

I saw coding as something completely out of my scope- coming from a background of dropping out of uni to now successfully starting my journey to becoming a tech professional. The course is very practical and allows you to immediately apply and consolidate the abstract concepts of layout and first step of the programming!! This is a great feeling when you open any page and have this understanding of the base knowledge, you perceive what turned out to be wrong with it and how it can be fixed))
I was very excited to start this course and it did not disappoint! The lessons are easy to follow and less than ten minutes each so you do not feel overwhelmed with information and most lessons have a challenge to try out what you have just learned. The homework and projects were a fun way to bring together all the coding skills picked up in the lessons. I would recommend this course to anyone starting out in web-development!
It was not easy but SheCodes has such a supportive community. My interest in web development has woken up!

This is a great course to get myself familiar with HTML and CSS fundamentals and boosted my knowledge in knowing the syntax that is used in HTML5 these days since I learnt the likes of XHTML during my Uni course and learning JavaScript through the workshop really boosted my understanding so working by handcoding or with Content Management Systems such as Wordpress would be a blessing so I can debug some code that was not working, etc. It is a great way the fundamentals to help you find suitable work with these skills and knowledge.
I had no idea of coding before starting this course, and now I know more than ever. I cant wait to get going to the next level soon and learn more on Shecodes.

The SheCodes Plus course was great fun and I got to improve on the skills I learnt through the Basics course. It was tough at times, but I'm very glad I kept going as it was such a good feeling finally building the Weather App!

I really want to express my gratitude to the teacher who taught the course. Thanks to him and their presentation of the material, even complex topics always seemed simple. It is also a huge plus that the teacher was practitioners, which allowed us, students, to find out the most relevant information and learn things that are really necessary for the profession.

Such a great course! I learnt so much! The important aspects of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were taught very well through bitesize videos, rather than tutorials that were hours long. This made the experience less overwhelming and the information easier to digest. Great for those with shorter attention spans! The structure of the curriculum made it easy to refer to past videos when working on a later project. This course has provided me with a solid foundation to build upon.
I have always wanted to do something in IT, but didn't know what until I came across SheCodes! I have really enjoyed learning to code. I am not the best with learning, I am more of a visual leaner, I can understand better with pictures and videos, and Matt has made it easy and enjoyable to do so! I signed up to SheCodes so that I could expand my knowledge on a brand new skill to me. Recently, I have realised that I was no longer learning anything new within my retail job so I decided to take on the challenge of coding and so far I am really enjoying it! I was skeptical as to whether I would understand anything but so far, I am impressed with how much I have learnt. Thanks to the in depth lessons provided by Matt, I have made a silly, but functioning page which I am pretty pleased about.
This course has been a real journey! It was a challenge at parts but Matts way of teaching really helped me to understand everything. The course content is great and contains a lot of topics and useful information that you can take into a career with coding. I have absolutely loved this course! I would struggle to find another course as helpful and as fun as this. I did this course as I am wanting to switch careers and I have ADHD, so doing this after work hours has been very manageable and very rewarding. Can't reccomend SheCodes enough!
SheCodes Basic Plus is a great addition to the previous workshops. I loved learning more in details the CSS grids, filters, and backgrounds. I was also pleasant to applied my knowledges in JS for the dark theme mode.

I have really enjoyed this course. I think it is a great way to start learning about coding, it has been the perfect introduction. I have also enjoyed doing the exercises as it is the only way to learn.
I love the accountability which the weekly program offers, this means that I was more likely to stay committed. Another factor I enjoy is the fact you can easily revisit and rewatch videos, the support from Slack is super helpful and accessible. Matt teaches in a clear and playful way which makes the sessions enjoyable. I enjoy the focus on playing around with colour and design.
Moment.js is such a crucial and helpful tool that every developer should learn to use, in order to display date and time in a pleasant and easy way.

I have loved this course for the past 3 weeks. I've tried many coding courses before and found them stressful and hard to follow.
