Shecodes is an amazing place to start your coding journey. I really enjoyed the class and Matt is an amazing teacher. I can't wait to start the shecodes plus to develop more knowledge on coding and start a career in software development.
Even though I know I wasn't the best at this it still gave me time to process everything and keep pushing forward. I had a down week but was still able to get an extension and finish my homework and final project for the new deadline, it really is a flexible course and is worth trying, nothing in life is easy but this is definitely worth pushing for.
It's fun being able to see yourself produce actual tangible outputs. Then there's a proud feeling that comes with uploading them and getting your submissions approved! Thank you for the flexibility and regular testing of older topics to make sure we're not forgetting what we learnt!

This workshop has definitely given me the confidence when it comes to learning how to code. I've used other platforms to learn coding, and whilst I don't have anything bad to say about them, I find the requirement to work to a deadline really useful with SheCodes. I admire the desire of Matt's to bring more women into the industry and for his focus to be on that.

This is an excellent course that's structured to take you through the entire process of making an online weather app that really works! Going from the HTML/CSS framework, to making the app responsive and integrating the API to include live data, was a huge learning curve for me. Matt gave a thorough overview of how to communicate with and manipulate data from an API, opening up some exciting functionalities to include in the project.
This is one of the best programming courses that teaches you the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The videos provided are very detailed and informative. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

The course explains React principles in a way that is very easy to understand and digest. I feel that the explanation could have gone a bit deeper. For the high price, I was expecting to have a little bit more packed into it. Saying that I do recommend this course for absolute beginners and it was very enjoyable.

As a marketer I spend a lot of time on content management systems but my knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript was limited. Doing this course has given me the confidence to communicate with outsourced developers, as well as independently find and fix bugs! I loved the way the lessons were broken down, with perfect opportunities to experiment and reinforce learning with challenges and solutions. The Slack community is also a big plus!

This was a challenging but incredibly rewarding course, building on the skills learned in the Basics syllabus. SheCodes has given me a solid foundation of coding, I had no idea where to start yet SheCodes made it so simple and easy to follow. Coding isn't necessarily easy or simple but it is a language, and Matt's tutorial videos are straight forward and sectioned into bite-size chunks so you CAN follow without getting overloaded with information.

Very well structured! I enjoyed a lot doing the challenges. At times was pretty hard, however, everything was well explained by Mat. If I ever got stuck, there were always answers on Slack or someone from the team was there to answer any of the questions. I thought I would never understand JS but this project was perfect to start with.

The workshops were great - easy to follow, and gave plenty of opportunity to test out each of the elements and functions yourself. Great way to challenge yourself and learn something new!
I was nervous to start coding, but the breakdown of the lessons into digestible videos and challenges really helped to enforce learning along the way and prepared you for each weeks homework. I am excited to move onto the next workshop to continue learning with SheCodes!

I found SheCodes enjoyable and easy to navigate. The fact that each learning module was around 6-12 minutes long meant I didn't feel under pressure to commit hours of studying at a time (which is something that usually leads me to procrastinate!) The challenges along the way kept things interesting. I liked the casual way Matt explains things in the video as it feels more approachable and low-pressure than a formal academic approach. I found the first week the hardest and took up the most amount of hours. By the second week I felt more comfortable and there were less modules so I was more motivated to finish the week early. Make sure you leave plenty of time for the homework at the end of each week, I underestimated how it would take me to complete the Week One homework so had to push my start date back. I ended up finishing the entire course a week early after my initial slow start, so there's quite a lot of flexibility when it comes to your learning schedule and deadlines. Overall I would recommend SheCodes. I'm excited and motivated to keep learning!

At the beginning of this course I was very nervous because I genuinely thought coding was going to be this complex subject that was going to require me having to do courses for maths or statistics and I was ready to give-up. But after the first five lessons, yes, I said it, after the first five lessons I already knew I am very much capable of doing this course and I have enjoyed very bit of it. From the videos recorded by Matt, to the weekly homework challenges. Cannot wait to do the next workshopπ₯³

Great, approachable way to get into coding. I felt like there was a helping hand available if I needed it, but also encourage to find the answers yourself. Great practical exercises and very helpful to see a solution video of Matt explaining his logic and method of approaching a coding exercise as opposed to just 'getting the answer to it' - that's very valuable for a novice coder to see how an experienced coder would approach the same problem.
