Signing up for SheCodes was a non-decision, I was so excited! However, it turned out that I signed up at a terrible time, work got so busy and I thought I would be so overwhelmed but the lessons were bitesize and very intuitive. Matt has a great program together and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to kickstart their coding journey! πββοΈ
SheCodes was very thorough and the workshops were really easy to follow, broken down step by step. I found it very easy to study and balance alongside my current work commitments and can't wait to continue onwards to the Plus workshop.

In my opinion, SheCodes Course 1 helps entry level students with basics tools in JS, CSS and HTML. Those tools are useful if you would like to become a developer, mostly front end developer. Maybe, you should offer others types of knowledge, such as specialist's interviews into front end development, career talks, etc... just a suggest :)

Learning to code with SheCodes has been so fun and engaging! I have definitely learnt way more than I would have trying to teach myself. The videos and exercises are great and having support on hand when you run into an issue really helps you advance at a good pace!

I was a bit skeptical to start this course. Afraid that it would be too technical and I wouldn't understand much. Turns out it's definitely like what I've read from other testimonials, a great way to understand the basis of coding. The lessons are easy to understand and it's great to have the support from both, the SheCodes team and the community. Definitely recommend it

If Iβm being honest, you can definitely find similar courses online at a fraction of the cost, you can even find good courses for free. What sets shecodes apart is the added homework projects. They will motivate you to code everyday because there are real deadlines to work to. Also having a community of likeminded women to collaborate with and learn from is encouraging. To conclude this course will get you from knowing nothing to actually coding a working albeit basic website.
I started off with no coding knowledge but have thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. Although parts of the learning curve have been frustrating, with much trail and error, the lessons were helpful in getting me through and keeping me motivated to keep going!
Very interactive, and allowed me to learn at my own pace, whilst offering help from real people and a strong sense of community despite being completely online
It was intimidating for me to start learning programming after I had a bad experience with it in my university classes. SheCodes is very fluent and easy to learn from, and I am eager to learn more.
Matt did well at explaining things in a simple way. Slack chat was very useful too as some students would engage to help solve other students coding issues.

Absolutely brilliant! I never thought I'd be able to get into coding especially since I hadn't taken ICT or Cumputer Science at school, however this site provides the tools and knowledge to get started even if you're a complete beginner. I will definitely be continuing with the courses and encourage anyone, who even remotely ponders the idea of starting a career in tech, to join. Thank you Matt for the clear vidoes!

The workshop was super entertaining, well structured and everything was explained in a lot of detail. This is ideal for anybody who is working full time and is happy to dedicate their evenings to this. The first week is the most intense if you have never done this before but then it gets easier. It's a great taster and I'm looking forward to starting the advanced course. I would recommend being strict with your timings so you don't feel overwhelmed but you can always extend the deadline if life really does get in the way. The fast response from the team on Slack and the ability to search other queries to help solve your code is so helpful. Highly recommend this course.
Building the weather app was a challenge, when I first started the course I wasn't sure if I'd be able to complete the app but with Matt's guidance and clear instructions i'm proud to say I completed it! The past few weeks have been challenging, so finally being able to hand in project was so satisfying. Really excited for the next module. ππΎπ©πΎβπ»

I feel the time frame is very short for those who are in full-time employment and would be difficult for them to complete without an extension.

I have really enjoyed doing my SheCodes Basics programme! I have been trying to study programming for a while and was attracted by the structure of the programme. Absolutely loved it. Although enrolled in a full time university course, it was very possible to conclude the course. It's well structured, videos are not overwhelmingly long, the topics are broken down in a logic manner and it teaches you how to think about coding.

SheCodes provides really good program, where you learn all essential elements to coding, and place that can be an opening door to new possibilities. I would recommend this course to anyone who is not sure about whether coding is right path for them, or not, and for people who want to start with coding.
After having done the Basic Workshop, this was definitely more challenging as I had a few weeks gap. Worth the struggles and constant questions of 'why is it not working?'.
SheCodes was a fantastic introduction for an absolute beginner. Great value for money, content, and pacing. I'm usually someone who drops new years resolutions by the wayside, but not this one!

I found this such an accessible introduction to coding and it was really satisfying to be able to see what could be produced from the very first lesson. Matt's teaching content and style is very clear and the knowledge immediately applied in each practice lesson. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to getting stuck in to SheCodes Plus!
Having never done anything like this before I was slightly nervous about doing this course. Although I may have found some elements a bit difficult to understand at first and got frustrated several times when I could not get something to work (usually because I missed something simple like a . or a }) I really enjoyed learning this new skill and embraced the challenge. Thank you SheCodes team.
SheCodes has really helped me to keep a good structure whilst learning how to code with the homework assignments using all the techniques we have learned that week. I had very little coding experience prior to this course but now I feel very confident and appreciative of the resources provided by SheCodes.
It has been an interesting workshop,I have learnt a lot in a short while.This is the first coding workshop I have completed due to the structure of the course and also Matt's teaching method. I also love the fact that you can always ask for help on Slack.It was also easy for me considering that I work part time and have three kids. I am excited to start SheCodes Responsive!

I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus.
