After Taking the beginners SheCodes course, I actually have been accepted into a really good university to study full-stack web development. This was a phenomenal experience to do alongside my current career and has allowed me to branch out into other areas of work. From the introductory class to the beginner's course, it has been a journey I really recommend everyone give a chance. You never know, you might find a new career path by the end of it!
SheCodes basic is the best introduction to all the basics - in such a short period of time I have been able to master HTML, CSS & Javascript, and Matt makes it the learning process effortless, interesting and fun. Really enjoyed my first steps into the world of web development/design. Incredible course, 10/10!

Having completed the other SheCodes courses, I was very excited when this one was announced, and couldn't wait to sign up. The information around creating responsive layouts is a very helpful component when building sophisticated and professional-looking sites, and the introductory knowledge about SEO, what it is and how and why you should incorporate it into your site is something that a lot of people will find very useful. I have since gone on to look more into the web analytics side of things, but this course gave me an excellent start in this area. As always, Matt is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend this SheCodes course to those looking to expand their coding and website-building skills.
I really really enjoyed the course! I even suprised myself how excited I was when completing challenges and working on the final project :) For w very long time I was looking for some idead to change my career, to swap my rather dull office job for something more creative and exicitng. I first joined SheCodes to learn something different but I have found a genuine passion and will continue to explore the coding world. SheCodes has offered comprehensive lessons which have been really easy to understand for a total beginner!
The lessons are quick and easy to follow. I've managed to complete this 3 week course as well as working a 42 hour job, going to the gym and having a social life. Matt explains clearly and in a good level of detail so that you can follow and remember the steps. I feel like I have obtained a great knowledge from the basic course which I can apply in my career going forwards.
It has been great learning code, the structure of the course is great and clean and clear.

I now feel a lot more confident with many aspects of HTML, CSS & JS. Being able to build my own web app has been really cool and seeing this finally come to life has made any frustrations, when it wouldn't quite work, worth it!

This was a really great introduction to the world of coding - the challenges and projects are great to sink you teeth into, and the course is a great balance of structured learning and giving you space to be inspired to continue researching and learning on your own too.
I cannot believe how much I have accomplished in a few short weeks. I have come from a nursing background so this is all completely brand new to me. Matt breaks lessons down into small and achievable sessions so it's not too overwhelming and gives you plenty of opportunity to practice. I keep showing my friends and family what I can do already and they cannot believe it as I am really not a 'techy' person. Anyone who is nervous about taking that first step, don't be! You won't regret it :)

I've learnt so much more than I thought I could in a few short weeks! I've gone from having very limited knowledge of coding, to feeling confident enough to produce my own code, and troubleshoot issues. The more challenging tasks have ultimately been the most rewarding, and the Slack community has been a great way of sharing the learning experience, sometimes it's nice to know you're not the only one that has a troublesome element that won't align!
My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me. It seemed so complex and overwhelming. Matt and the whole team do a terrific job of breaking it down, just like learning a new language. I'm so glad my friend brought this course to me. An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)

I had zero coding experience whatsoever prior to joining the course, but everything was explained thoroughly, with plenty of time and opportunity to practice each skill before bringing it all together for a final project.
