I have enjoyed taking this introductory course. I had some HTML and CSS knowledge before I took the course, but it helped reinforce this and the introduction to JavaScript was easy to understand and put into practice. Thank you
As a Graphic Design graduate it was great to learn the coding basics to understand how to make my web designs come to life. I've loved my SheCodes journey and it has really opened my eyes into the world of coding. The course is well structured and easy to follow and Matt is a great instructor. It is a very detailed workshop. If you are a beginner, you are at the right place to begin your coding journey. The videos are very simple to understand and the challenges help you to practice what you just learned.

I really enjoyed this 3 week course. I felt I really learned a lot and in what felt like a short amount of time. I am happy with my final project and I feel I really do have the tools to help me for the future.

This course de-demystified coding and explained the applications and concepts of coding in ways that really helped the ideas to 'click' better than any other resource I've used. I found the course challenging but not disheartening, and when I did feel defeated by an issue I asked for help and got encouragement and help. The lessons gave me enough understanding to test out the new knowledge but encouraged us to do our own research to expand on that lesson further - which made me realize how to use other resources online to learn and experiment even more. I feel so proud of what I've learned in a short time. Thanks so much for putting this course together and making coding accessible and enjoyable.
SheCodes is an amazing teaching platform. Matt's teaching techniques are very simple and relevant to the topic which for me as a beginner in coding make sense and I enjoyed coding a lot. Everyone here is so supportive, most of the time when I stuck somewhere I opened the Slack and found the solution. Thankyou SheCodes !
It's been fantastic to learn a new skill which I will definitely consider developing further. SheCodes is presented in a really easy format and allows you to work when suits you. I really like the function on the video's which allows you to adjust the speed at which they playback. The online support provided by slack is a fantastic tool which helps when wanting a solution to move on to the next step at speed.
I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop! πI started with absolutely zero knowledge on coding or what it entailed and have learnt so much throughout this course- I can't wait to learn more and develop my new skills in the future!

Hello SheCoders (and future SheCoders!) I really enjoyed the Basic Workshop classes. In these last 3 weeks I've been breathing, eating and sweating codes! which is absolutely amazing. I love coding but I needed the proper classes, the live chat guidance from professionals and colleagues, the project and the deadlines! It was a great way to push myself to get the challenges and project done. My personal experience with this course was great and now Im more sure I want to continue learning more coding !! Very thankful of all the things I learned! Happy coding!

I really liked SheCodes Plus π! It was much more challenging than the Basic course but I have learned a lot and I am looking forward to the React course.
I found the lesson structure very easy to follow and I was able to complete the lessons at my own speed and still meet the deadlines. I gained lots of knowledge that I can take back to my role as a frontend tester and it has definitely given me more of an insight into how developers operate.
I've spent around six months learning HTML, CSS and Javascript using various platforms such as CodeAcademy, LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight and YouTube to name a few. After attending the SheCodes free coding class, the material I learned really stuck! After enrolling onto SheCodes pro I've really enjoyed the support from the SheCodes community and the learning style of effectively: (1) Shadowing Matt (2) Completing his challenge to test your learning (3) Doing homework to validate your learning even more (4) Completing a project that includes everything you've learned (5) Having your code reviewed at each stage Learning how to code this way goes beyond everything i've used before and I has made it challenging yet fun!

Fantastic programme, well worth the price. Easy to understand even with no coding background at all. Great to add to your CV too! I have a degree in physics, but not much experience with coding so this was great. Would recommend it to anyone.
If you, like myself, is looking forward to change careers, SheCodes can be a start course. The classes are well explained in a way that makes any person understand what's going on in a code.
This was an intense 3 week journey, I had in mind many times to give up, I was saying that this is not for me, I can't learn it, but I am so glad I have not gave up. I loved the support you get, in case you get stuck, so many options to sort your issue. I was not alone, I was getting instant help from staff members, even from the community members who joined SheCodes. I think what kept me going is the time line to submit your homework, if was not in place I am sure I was not to follow up and give up easily. Very organised step by step course, clear messages and instructions, the best coding course. I hope more people discover this and give a try, it's not as hard as you think and if so, you are not alone, a lot of people are going through same thing as you and many more are there to help you. I LOVE SheCodes. I did the free workshop on a whim because coding has always intrigued me, but I thought it was really maths-heavy. The one hour session opened my eyes - and I've learned that coding is so much more than numbers! I continued on to SheCodes Basic and I've learned so much in just a few weeks. I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. I feel much more confident and better equipped now that I have completed the course! I plan to take more courses with SheCodes now and gain a better future! Thank you so much <3

It has been an exciting and educative three weeks of coding. It was very easy to follow and made me explore the new world of coding.It was real fun and I look forward to learn and code more.
I have been interested to learn to code for a while, but this course gave me the kick I needed to finally start! I loved the small challenges and the homework deadlines allowed me to keep on track and keep developing at a good pace. The course is broken down in a way that makes it easy to understand as looking at a page of code can be intimidating, but it has helped me to understand how it all comes together.
I like the way this course built-up over the 3 weeks. The challenges are great for making sure you understand the lessons and the final project give plenty of scope to play around with that new knowledge. I have really enjoyed this.
This was an excellent workshop. I found the instructions really clear to follow, loved the frequent practice opportunities, and how it built up your knowledge and confidence at each step. Can't wait to do the next workshop!
I never thought that development or anything remotely IT-related would be for me, but when I saw the free course advertised I thought I have nothing to lose by looking into it. After the free introduction I was inspired to see what it was all about, for nothing more than to prove to myself I was able to! I have really enjoyed every part of the course and learning something new. I'm thinking of upgrading to one of the more advanced courses in the near future, as Matt's teaching style suits me down to the ground. I like that he shows why things don't work, and sets challenges which make you think. You are given the tools to fix errors and find good online guidance on your own, and that is invaluable. I would definitely recommend this course.

Great course to follow even if your popping in and out. Lessons have enough repetition to embed knowledge but not too much to become confusing. The challenges are also clever that they have elements that havenβt been covered fully but link very closely with what has been taught. Really positive and enjoyable
This course is amazing! I tried to learn code in the past but was never successful. SheCodes has made learning code fun and I'm thoroughly enjoying this course. Can't wait to advance to the next level!
Initially I was quite sceptical about this but I gave it a shot as I had nothing to loose and no I strongly recommend this workshop to all the ladies that were afraid that they are "too stupid" to code. NO girl, YOU CAN DO THIS! You set up your own pace and Matt explains everything down to the dot. The weekly assignments are simple but yet challenging. I came to this thinking that I can't code because it's too technical, too this, too that. Before I even finish my first week I had bought the React pack! My final project was an ode to unicorns and fully dedicated to my niece, so you learn to code AND get to be the best & favourite aunt π

SheCodes has provided such a great experience for a beginner coder! I loved being able to take the process at my own pace, watching the lessons whenever they best fit into my other commitments. Everything was taught clearly, with the Slack providing such a great community and library of previously-asked questions so I rarely got stuck for long. Definitely recommend!

This project has been very interesting, I am really enjoying the workshops and classes and doing the challenges and projects. It is really exciting!
Doesnβt go in dept but helped me understand some concepts (JavaScrip) better. Itβs realistic about the timeframe of each course and so Matt teaches you the things that your are most likely to use when creating a site.
I really enjoyed these 3 weeks with SheCodes workshops. I think it was very beneficial to have the challenges for me to be able to apply what I had just learnt. It was challenging and yet fun. Hopefully, I will be doing some of the more advanced SheCodes workshops soon
SheCodes Basics was a fantastic way for me, as a Product Manager, to gain a better understanding of the technical side of my job and improve my knowledge of what developers do. The first week was quite intense but manageable, and the team are always on hand if you are struggling with any of the lessons. I'd highly recommend this course.
I've enjoyed this 3-week workshop, I'm surprised that I did actually create my own landing page about photography from scratch after finishing the basic workshop. I'm glad that I discoved SheCodes, thank you Matt and the team!

The course is really easy to follow the course, really like the type of approach it has towards online learning. At the same time, it was challenging enough to feel like I was learning many things, a huge step forwards to start my coding journey. My favourite parts were the lessons about web development in general and the relationship between the tools and systems that are being used in software development. I also really enjoyed the challenges π
