I joined SheCodes because I wanted to challenge myself and design my own wedding website! I had been learning Python via an online course and became so so bored and also stuck! SheCodes and Matt have taught me that coding can be fun and not so hard to understand!

I completed the three week SheCodes workshop during my summer holidays. I have zero coding experience and tried to learn with other platforms but it all felt too complicated. The video format of SheCodes as well as the support system on Slack make the biggest difference to learning remotely. Overall, I feel as though I have a good base knowledge and insight into what coding is really like.

Excitement surged through my body when the code eventually works after several trials ππ. Also, seeing what was in my mind appear in front of me is ecstatic. The course format was easy to understand with a flexible schedule, and a great team to help when stuckπ.
I have tried to learn basic HTML and CSS in the past, however I found it extremely difficult to remember anything and actively engage. I found it so much more accessible and user friendly to learn on SheCodes. I'm really happy I took this course and would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn the basics!
I have tried different platforms before to learn coding, and SheCodes has been my best experience. It was so easy to follow the tutorials, and examples are so clear, it was really easy to apply my learning to the challenges.

Coding always seemed like it would be too complicated for me to pick up before I found SheCodes. All the classes were very well explained and the challenges really help you to wrap your head around the different skills. I never expected to learn as much as I have, and I'm pleasantly surprised that not only am I capable of coding but I love it!

I would recommend SheCodes to anyone! I did the basics course, and have learnt so much in just 3 weeks. I've enjoyed every minute and am so glad that I invested in myself to learn something new. I'm really excited to learn more and keep developing my skills! If you're considering it and unsure, my only advice would be to jump right in!!
The SheCodes Basic Coding Workshop was a great introduction to the world of coding HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Everything is very well explained, the challenges are, as the name says, challenging, but a great way to learn by applying your knowledge as you go!

SheCodes workshops are challenging and rewarding, they allow students to learn to code at their own pace. They also offer places to ask questions and easily get help without it feeling silly.

I was totally new to coding and thought it was going to be too difficult to get my head around at first, but each step was explained really well. I wanted to learn something new to add to my skill set and now have the basics down. Once you get the hang of what you're doing it's really fun being able to design your own webpage. I love the flexibility and being able to go at your own pace within each week. The support system between coders and the SheCodes team is really strong and its a nice place to go and ask help if you're ever stuck on anything. Definitely recommend to anyone contemplating itπ€

SheCodes Plus is a more challenging course that builds upon the foundation that is built up in basics on HTML, CSS and JS, with the main addition of APIs. It was an enjoyable experience to build a weather app and see my skills improve after making a basic page.
I've had such a positive experience completing the SheCodes course, everything from the friendly community to the constant help and support provided by the tutors. I have learned so much within such a short space of time. It's broken down step by step making it fun and easy to learn π€©
I've always wanted to code but never took the plunge but I'm so glad I did! The lessons were so easy to follow and it's great to have a platform to speak to other women who are part of SheCodes and ask for help. I can't wait to use the knowledge that I've gained in this workshop in my future endeavours

Definetely more challenging than the Basic Course and this is where things start to get (really) serious but also more fun :) you will learn more usefull knowledge and have the feeling you are really starting to code profissionally, so greatly recommend to continue this path after the first course and jump right to SheCodes Plus! You won't regret it :D
Really enjoyed completing SheCodesPlus and can't believe how much I've learnt in a short space of time! It was a big step up from SheCodes Basics but once you get the hang of Javascript, it's really fun to work through the steps. Can't wait to start the next workshop and carry on learning!

While learning SheCodes plus I am building my website for my small business after selling on ebay for years. Immediately I can see how practical the skills are that this course can give to me. I should have started earlier and now am looking forward to learning the next lessons.
I've really enjoyed the workshop, the content is all set out in a really engaging way that makes you want to keep coming back to learn more! I didn't expect to learn so much and feel as confident as I do after 3 weeks. The basics really goes a long way and Matt has done a fantastic job in establishing an environment for women to learn coding. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to others, the accessibility to information, help and continued support is excellent.

SheCodes Basics was an interesting look into the world of coding for the first time. I really enjoyed the layout of simple bitesized lessons to learn each week! When I joined SheCodes, I was afraid not to have time to do the work due to me going to work; the SheCodes structure is self-paced which give you time to do it as fast as you wish. the SheCodes structure, the nice student and teacher willing to help you anytime. it made it so easy and fun to learn.
I've had a great time working on SheCodes Plus! It's definitely much more challenging than the Basics workshop, but I've loved it and really enjoyed pushing myself. I've been learning coding on and off for the past year and it's only since joining SheCodes that I actually find myself engaged and really feeling like i'm getting it! I can't wait to do the React and Responsive courses next.
I've tried to teach myself to code using other websites before, but SheCodes is by far the easiest to follow and I highly recommend SheCodes Basics as the place to start your coding journey. :)

I joined SheCodes after my job lightened my interest in coding. It is very challenging starting a new activity from scratch but it is very rewarding knowing I am learning and growing each day thanks to this course.
Having been almost a total novice, I'm amazed at how easy the skills in SheCodes Basics were to learn. Matt is a fantastic teacher, explaining everything clearly with no jargon and giving me a full toolkit to get started with. I felt fully supported throughout by everyone at SheCodes. This course delivers exactly what is promised; I was a complete beginner with absolutely no coding experience and now I know the basics. A fun and engaging course, which takes things slowly and teaches you everything step by step.
These first few weeks have been incredible! It's been great to brush off my Computer Science GCSE skills! The workload is just right. Sadly in my case, other obligations meant I was late to some deadlines but the team we're more than considerate in giving a little extra time. If you're looking for a starter course in HTML, CSS and JavaScript then this course is for you!
The SheCodes introductory course confirmed my interest in learning to code. It will. benefit my current role in e-Commerce in being able to work more effectively with our Developers.
After doing a series of workshops with SheCodes this course was cherry on the cake! Helped me to organise my projects in a responsive portfolio and updated my skills on bootstrap.

I have done some online coding before but what I really liked about this course is that it shows you how to use VScode and explains how a real developer works things out. I enjoyed the format with videos and challenges especially the extra bits that you had to look up yourself.

I absolutely loved this course - I knew some basic HTML but learning CSS was really exciting. It was tricky at times (particularly some of the JavaScript bits in week 2!) but it was super practical and really enjoyable. I can't believe how much I've learnt in 3 weeks.

Great course that makes learning tricky coding languages easy and fun too! You're encouraged to find solutions from online resources and the SheCodes community also, which I found really helped my problem solving and self development.

This course helped me understand all the basics I needed. Now I'm able to write CSS and HTML with basic JS which can help me start building a site . I really enjoyed the little challenges after each video , they made me test my ability and find my problems.
It has certainly been an experience so far! Learning to code will definitely surprise you its not would i thought it would be pleasantly surprised actually. Matt and team have broken the courses down into perfectly sizeable chunks, attention to detail is key but i will say be prepared to put you're perfectionism aside in order to persevere.I would recommend to give shecodes BASICS to see if coding is for you.
I learnt so much and i am so grateful for the opportunity to have worked on something that actually did not come naturally to me at first. I have obsessed over this project, playing around for hours, and it was equal parts frustrating and fun! I had a great 3 weeks learning to code using Matt's simple and effective videos. As a business analyst, I work with Software Developers and have always been interested in understanding more about what they do (and what they are talking about in meetings!). This has given me a great, basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
