I have been wanting to learn to code for while but was always nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it!! Matt and SheCodes proved me wrong :) I really enjoyed all of the lessons and challenges and couldn't believe how much I was able to learn in just a single week! Matt was a great instructor and made everything so easy to understand. I also really loved the SheCodes community, it made me feel connected to a group even though all of the sessions were virtual. If you are considering learning to code, either for professional reasons or just to learn a new skill, I highly recommend SheCodes!!
I had a lot of fun learning and being able to see my creations turning into reality. I would definitely reccomend this course to anyone who asks and would love to carry on doing the more advanced workshops.

I've really enjoyed learning the basics for coding, a great skillset to have in the ever increasing digital world. The lessons were really clear and easy to follow, while the homework offered the right blend of revision and challenge. Would recommend!

After being exposed to CSS design in my current job I became interested in what coding actually was and whether it would be something I could do. I am so glad I decided to enrol in the beginners 3 week course with Matt this summer, as I have never had any experience with this field before. I joined SheCodes because I've always been curious about what coding is and how it works - I just like knowing how things work. I had previously used coding mildly using the stats software R but wanted to understand it better. The intro course was so interesting. The screens full of code always looked tedious and dull to scroll through, but this course made me realise how much fun it actually is and the unlimited creative possibilities are exciting!

An Amazing journey!!! It took me back to my Uni days and stole my heart again. I studied Masters in Computer Science in the past. I couldn't pursue my dream yet. I am still completing my workshop, but so far I have learnt many skills and techniques in coding by learning at my own pace with Matt being a great teacher .
I have tried so hard to use Youtube tutorials to learn how to code, but I have learned more in the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 6 months!

The introductory course to coding is highly recommended if you want to learn in an interactive way. The way the course is set up triggers your motivation and the ability to complete your project. You learn technical language and tools to use. The time spent on the course has gone very fast since it has been a lot of fun and caught my interest very much. I look forward to applying my new knowledge to my job as a tester, and would recommend the course to others who are interested in coding. π
Came into this course a complete beginner. At one point I didn't think I understood anything but it all just clicked which has made me so happy. I haven't learn anything new in so long, it was a challenge for my brain but I'm so proud pf myself for completing. The course is structured nicely and easy to navigate, Matt is also a fantastic teacher.
This experience has flown by so much quicker than expected! I am grateful to have participated in SheCodes, and can honestly say I have learnt so much. The videos were easy to follow and 100% understandable, making learning 3 languages so much easier than anticipated. What a great challenge this course is! It's definitely a lot to take in but the lessons and exercises are set out in a way that help you understand each new concept before moving on to the next. The team are amazing at responding promptly to queries on Slack - an invaluable resource. As Matt keeps saying in the videos "this is powerful stuff"! It is certainly amazing to discover how much can be done with just a few lines of code. Feels like magic! Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next stage (might take a wee break first, though!).
I really love this workshop as it widened my views towards IT. Super grateful for the opportunity that I grabbed by joining this workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes workshop! The videos were very easy to follow and the mini-challenges helped to solidify my learning. I also loved the support system on Slack as it made me feel more confident when dealing with particularly challenging aspects of the tasks.
For a long time now I've had an interest in coding, saw an advert for SheCodes on LinkedIn and signed up on a whim. This was a great whistle stop tour of the basics and Matt is a great teacher. I really liked the bitesize learning and challenges along the way. A fun way to have learnt a new skill. Now I just need to practice!

SheCodes Responsive is a great course that helps you to learn how to build responsive websites that look good on mobiles, tablets or big screens. It was very fun to work on my own portfolio website and I am very happy how it turned out. My HTML and CSS skills have definitely improved and I am looking forward to continue developing my skills.
I never thought I'd be able to understand front end code, let alone write it. Yet, here we are three weeks after taking the SheCodes plunge and I've just submitted my first project! The best thing about it? I looked forward to working on the project and the mini challenges every day. Matt teaches at the perfect pace and I love that you can recap on lessons if you want a refresh. π I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus now and build on the knowledge - very excited to see where this goes! π
I have always wanted to get into coding but didn't know where to start or what direction to go in. The SheCodes workshop gave me a starting point. Their style of teaching, the 5-10 minute videos with the challenges, really help my learning experience. Like anything it just takes practice, practice, practice. SheCodes Basics taught me a good basis for coding that I wanted to build on, so I enrolled in SheCodes Plus shortly after graduating from the beginner's course. I have learned so much in the last 8 weeks and am sad that this course has come to an end now, but I look forward to the next course. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn coding.

I started the workshop when I was going through an uninspiring moment in my life. After taking part in Matt's free taster workshop I decided to sign up and find out more. I needed a new challenge and a new hobby; coding turned out to be both.
SheCodes has been a fantastic experience! Matt's training is logical, interactive and challenging (in a good way!). The programme is well paced and easy to follow and the team on hand when you get stuck to offer fast and friendly help.
