This workshop has exceeded my every expectation :) I always had a curiosity to learn about coding, however never really invested much on that idea because I thought that it was impossible without a computer/enginnering/math degree and I felt that I didn't have what it takes... But of course I was wrong :D As soon as I found SheCodes I immediately wanted to join: the vibe is so positive, Matt really is an excellent instructor, the classes are very fun and enjoyable and now that I started this new adventure, never want to stop ^^ I truly recommed the course, you won't regret it!!! xx, Diana
After finishing SheCodes Basics I decided to learn more through SheCodes Plus. Building my very first weather application proved to be very challenging at times but so worth it! Matt explained everything in videos clearly and in easy steps. I recommend SheCodes to everyone, is a great platform to learn coding. Off to next one! 😊👩💻

I've always been interested in coding, but I've never been able to finish any online courses I started... until now! SheCodes is amazing: clear explanations, funny, a course step by step, where every step is thought to be easy and always suitable for your level of coding knowledge. You'll find everything exciting, useful and funny... Matt is a fantastic teacher, even if the course is based on remote lessons. Such a great intro to coding. All areas are broken down into simple steps and then you are given projects to reinforce your learnings. I liked the fact I could always find answers to my queries by searching the slack community :)

SheCodes was really fun. I enjoyed learning and it was easy to follow along and then do the tasks. I feel it was a good way to learn with a great practical element. I liked that it made you go do your own research along side the tasks
I wasn't sure what to expect when doing this course. After completing it I can confidently say I', happy to have done this course. The lectures were clear and easy to follow along. However, as it got harder/ or more real-world specific I would have liked to get more in-depth teaching in the videos. Overall a great beginner coding course.
I was never considered myself an IT person but with SheCodes I realized that this is something that I want to do on a daily basis! Matt is a great teacher and the SheCodes platform is amazing! Truly grateful to Matt and the SheCodes Team for helping me understand the basics! Step by step I started building my knowledge and I've learned so much already! Having worked as a Visual Merchandiser for almost 18 years, retraining was daunting but SheCodes was the perfect place to start. Having never coded before or even been in an IT environment, I found SheCodes to be a great introduction to coding. The clear presentation and explanation videos combined with manageable challenges and reasonable deadlines were perfect for someone completely new to the field. Bring on the next challenge!

This course has been a fantastic insight into the world of coding and has pushed me to learn new things that I never thought I would be able to understand, let alone code.
All concepts are very well explained, and the structure of the course allows to learn in short intervals if time is limited.

I started out with little knowledge of HTML and an aspiration to learn more about HTML, CSS, & JavaScript. Can safely say that in the last month I've successfully learnt and retained more code than I ever thought I would! I've loved every minute of the SheCodes 'Intro to Coding' course, the layout of the workshops are fantastic, with bite-sized lessons that Matt explains very clearly. You're putting into practice what you've learnt every step of the way, so you're really getting a good understanding of what the main elements are and how the coding languages work together. Would highly recommend!
Having some experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript this was a fantastic refresher - well structured and easy to follow and I still learnt something new! I wish I'd joined SheCodes sooner, although it has helped me to solidify my self-taught skills! I look forward to moving on the more advanced courses to build up my knowledge of React!
A fun and creative introduction to coding - a lot to cover each week, but a good base for learning more!

I enjoyed the coding course immensely! It did get a little difficult at times and I would say that it takes more than 5 hours a week if you really want to get to grips with everything as much as you can.
A great introduction to coding, with tutorials in bitesized chunks which is so helpful when fitting them into a busy day. The tutorials were straight-forward and easy to follow, and the challenges and homework assignments are great opportunities to put your new skills into action.
SheCodes Basics teaches you at the right pace, letting you adapt to your other schedules. It was a good step by step learning process.
Started with absolutely zero coding knowledge, and three weeks later I'm building a webpage from scratch! Absolutely loved the lessons from Matt and I'm looking forward to building on my new skills with more.
I've really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop, and I'd recommend it to anyone who either has an interest in learning how to code or is simply looking to pick up a new skill. SheCodes provides an accessible and fun learning environment that's refreshing and fun to experience.
I have tried to learn coding from the many free online courses, free sites and have bought books over the years but nothing has helped me grasp the concepts and stick with my learning the way SheCodes has. Everything just makes sense now, I felt I had full, guided support and having paid for a course I felt more committed to completing it. I work, am studying for a degree and have demanding family commitments but could fit this course in around all that as it is so flexible.
I completed the basic workshop and cannot wait for my next one! I truly love it!

I am loving this course so far! I have always been interested in Front End Development but always had my doubts about whether it would be something I would be able to do (its very intimidating!). First I signed up for the Basics workshop, but after only 2 weeks I was hooked and booked the full package. I can't wait to see what is to come.

I have wanted to learn to code for a long time but always felt it would be too hard as I am not from a tech background. After attending the free coding class I decided to do it and join the beginners workshop. The way Matt explains things makes it so accessible and less scary. The support you get throughout and the quality of the classes is amazing. Couldn't recommend enough.
The course has been really helpful. I like that it's step-by-step, interactive and with deadlines to meet. It's my first time studying in years, so maybe that's why I'm finding the 5-6 hours/week recommended time too little.

The SheCodes workshop has been a good introduction to coding, I particularly like the practical side of it.
Matt's videos are perfect for explaining it step-by-step. His code is helpful to study and to work out what links to what. The course is very organized and flows well. I was appropriately challenged at each step but given the resources and grace that I needed to succeed. I hope to return for more classes in the next year!
This has been a great insight in to trying something new, I have enjoyed the tasks more than I thought, and learnt a lot that I can take forward in my current job. Especially understanding the limits/ capabilities of code and how to word instructions to our web designer, going forward to get the most out of what we are doing.
SheCodes was such a great workshop to learn the basics for Coding! I had such a fun time with each challenge and the homeworks were a good reinforcement to the skills learned.

This course was probably the best thing I've participated in. Everything was easy to understand & straightforward. In the space of 2-3 weeks, I have already started working on my own website. Without signing up to SheCodes, I think I would have either 1. Spent a large amount of money on another coding course, which I may not have finished 2. Put off from the amount of money I would have to pay, so I would have left it & never would have started my website. Thanks Matt!

This course was really fun, Matt explained everything so clearly in the videos and for a coding beginner like me, I was able to grasp it pretty much straight away because of how the course was set out and how the coding was explained. Plus there was always help via slack when I got stuck. Kind of sad I have finished it but now I know the basics I definitely want to continue to experiment.

As a complete beginner to coding, I found this course broke down the different elements well and having the challenges at the end of each section enabled me to learn how the different functions work properly without moving on to the next thing too quickly. I also liked being able to go back and rectify mistakes with my solutions.
I am really happy with the course! The videos and structure of the course are very clear and easy to follow. The final project is the perfect closure to make you feel confident in what you have learnt while developing your own project from scratch and encourage you to learn more.
I initially joined SheCodes with the view to learn some basics so I could communicate better with our in-house Dev team. I have been blown-away by the amazing SheCodes community and the support everyone gives each other. It may not be the best looking, but I am chuffed to bits with my final project and so proud that I wrote all the code on my own! I will be continuing my journey with SheCodes Plus and React :)
A great opportunity to learn at your own pace. While SheCodes may be marketed at women, the content didn't feel particularly gendered - there was just something nicely affirming to hear "SheCodes" over and over. I feel inspired to keep learning now 😄
SheCodes gave me the opportunity to achieve something that I thought I would always be under qualified to succeed at. Now, I feel more confident and understanding of what goes into coding. I feel like I have gained invaluable knowledge that will assist me with career progression in the future!
Wow! After the basics course, I was absolutely hooked on coding and knew I had to sign up for more. It's a very steep learning curve, but so worth the headaches just to see something that you're coding forming bit by bit. As a Software Tester whose daily job has always been working with Software Developers, I have always wished to have an in depth knowledge of how Softwares are being developed. As a result of this, I have watched a lot of videos on HTML, CSS and a bit of Javascript on Youtube, this had helped me currently as a postgraduate student of Information Technology but I must say SheCodes workshop is an exceptional; as it has helped me in having some fundamentals required in starting my new career as a Frontend Developer. I really do enjoy how the programs are arranged especially the fact that one tends to know the relationship between these three languages from the onset together with the Homework at the end of each week to enhance more practice and better understanding . Thanks to Matt and Team, looking forward to more workshop in future.

I really enjoyed it and liked how it was broken up into smaller chunks and lessons. This made it pretty easy to follow and accessible.
My friend told me about SheCodes a couple of year ago but I did not think I had what it took to learn. Though the pandemic year I decided to challenge myself to try and learn, enter into it with a clear head and ready to make a tonne of mistakes. I never thought that today I would be handing in my first project. I felt like there was a lot of support especially when I made a number of silly mistakes. Don't get me wrong, this process still requires focus and dedication to come back to things when they get hard but I really enjoyed this process. I am keen to learn more because now I have started the only way is up!
Hi! I am a UI/UX designer who wants to learn coding because it will help my design and also will improve my communications with developers, but who knows? maybe I like coding so much that I become a developer!
I have owned and operated my own sandwich shops for almost ten years. However, when we were forced to close temporarily during the pandemic, I thought I would use my free time to upskill. I am thoroughly enjoying the course so far. I especially appreciate how bitesize each lesson is. Immediately putting each new skill, however small, into practice is such a great way to learn and retain new information.
SheCodes was a great way for me to learn how to code. I have been wanting to learn more about coding and this course allowed me to learn at my own speed. As a mom of 3 young children it definitely was achievable. Not only were the videos easy to follow along, Matt explains everything in detail. I found myself having fun completing the challenges and learning new ways to code. I am eager to continue my coding journey with SheCodes.
I found myself being made redundant so chose to spend the time exploring new opportunities. I've always enjoyed working within the IT field so chose to further my skills by doing this course. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and soon found it's not as daunting as it may first appear but actually just about trial and error. If you enjoy using Excel I think you'll enjoy coding. I hope I can learn more to increase my skillset. Hopefully this may lead to new career opportunities 🤞.

Loved every second of the SheCodes Basics course. I couldn't write one line of code before I started but the course is really easy to follow and the challenges and homework are fun to complete. I've really enjoyed the course over the last few weeks! I had the most basic level of html knowledge prior to this but it's amazing how much you absorb over just a few hours a week. In doing the final project, I knew what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it, with very few questions. Of course you have frustrating moments along the way but I found the Slack page incredibly useful (and also validating when other people often had the same questions as me!). I'd definitely recommend.
The past 3 weeks have been an amazing first step into coding. The way that the lessons are followed by a challenge, based on the lesson's content, allows you to learn whilst doing, which is great for absolute beginners like myself. I had never looked at a piece of code properly before this, so learning how to write it has been incredibly rewarding! I loved the flexibility the workshop provides. I was able to spend the first week completing the lessons and spend 2 weeks consolidating what I had learned and work towards my final project. The community and support you're given access to on slack chat is also a huge benefit of this programme. Not only can you access help when you need it, you're also able to share your journey with others. I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!
Super helpful intro to front-end development
It has been so much fun to learn the basics of coding. Whilst the course was challenging enough, the step by step videos, the challenges and the final project made it all very accessible. The world of coding doesn't seem so obscure any more and I can't wait to continue to the next level.

I very much enjoyed my introduction to coding. The explanations were easy to understand and the challenges after each lesson helped to put my new knowledge into practice straight away. I loved coming up with a final project and make use of all the skills covered in the course.
Completing the SheCodes Responsive Workshop has been extremely beneficial to my coding knowledge. I'm really excited to be starting my coding journey with SheCodes, the bite sized step-by-step lessons allow for flexibility of study, and facilitate learning a breadth of information and technical know-how in a short space of time. I have been able to learn a range of skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and VS Code editor, extremely quickly. The fun interactive challenges serve to test and consolidate your knowledge and keep your progress ontrack. There is also a supportive and responsive SheCodes community and tutors continuously on hand.
