I'm not going to pretend it was easy, I'm not going to pretend there weren't times that my laptop nearly went out of the window, but have faith because eventually this will all click with time and practise. The most beneficial part of this course for me was weeks 7 and 8 where we could code along with the videos to build the final project (I highly recommended doing this step by step with the videos rather than trying to do it all at the end). When I was working on the early stages of this course I never expected that the Javascript would be the part I look forward to doing the most, but it really is witchcraft and Matt is so right, it makes me feel SO powerful.
After completing the Plus and React course, this was a perfect way to enhance my UI/UX skills. I have had so much fun learning how to create a responsive app and i have finally found what I enjoy. I want to do this forever! I am so happy to have been part of the SheCodes family as I couldn't have done it without them!
This course has reinforced my basic HTML skills but added CSS and JavaScript to make webpages look SO MUCH BETTER. Hugely recommended.

SheCodes has taught me something I thought I would never be able to do, code! I am an aspiring Motorsport Engineer and therefore need a great knowledge of coding, so I thought I would take a chance and try SheCodes. The course is brilliant! Easy to follow lessons and challenges. The course has the ability to make coding so easy that you don't realise how much you have actually learnt until you are able to complete your final project and take a look at the brilliant website page you made all by yourself. I can't wait to move onto the second course.
I tried to learn various coding languages in the past but I struggled to stay motivated and interested. This workshop was extremely engaging and the various challenges and homework we had to complete definitely helped to solidify what we learnt. It was a great introduction to HTML, CSS and Javascript, and the project was a lot of fun!

I have avoided coding for years as I thought it meant you had to be good at maths (which I certainly am not!) but after watching the free introductory course, I was hooked! Matt is fantastic - he explains everything clearly and the videos are only 5-15 minutes so they are the perfect length. I have really enjoyed the challenges, it's great that you get the opportunity to put theory into practice at each step. I would 100% recommend this workshop to fellow beginner coders!

Having access to a group of fellow students and professionals on Slack for almost instantaneous assistance is so helpful when learning from home. I felt the course content progressed at a steady pace, and when you finish the course wanting more content you know the course has succeeded in the aim of introducing you to coding and inspiring you to continue learning. I've watched a few coding instructional videos and Matt has been the best presenter by far; the content he presents is concise and his delivery is clear and personable.

Having completed the SheCodes Basic workshop, I couldn't wait to start SheCodes Plus. I had learned so much in the first 3 weeks that I was excited to expand my knowledge and practical skills and this workshop didn't disappoint. The lessons were clear and easy to follow, with plenty of opportunity to practice and experiment with the skills being taught each week. The support team on slack have been super responsive and friendly too. The introductory course was a great intro to the principles of coding, and uses lots of fun examples and exercises. The lessons are taught in manageable chunks, and the instruction is very clear with plenty of examples. I've had an interest in coding for awhile but was scared to start because I thought it would be too difficult, but Matt is an excellent teacher and made all the lessons very simple and fun! I can't wait to use my coding knowledge in the future :)
I decided to challenge myself and push my limits and learn how to code. To begin the journey I made the decision last month to enrol on on a 3 week Coding Course at SheCodes, a hands-on coding workshop which teaches coding skills for women. At present only 19% of the tech workforce are women, I decided to join this course to take my future career in tech more seriously and to become a representative for black women within the technology sector. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the way it was structured, I was able to commit to this whilst working and completing my masters and also managed to build a functioning website. Never could have done this without the detailed workshops and documentation provided. Thanks to everyone at SheCodes for curating such an amazing workshop!

It has been a very brain wrecking experience not in a bad way but a very good way. Everytime i coded something or learned something new it was like a aaahh moment, like this is how the page or the web works. The SheCodes Responsive course is a MUST! It was so helpful to learn the little tricks that can be added to your code to make websites look and operate smoothly across various devices! The project you work on throughout the course offers you a chance to really have fun with your code and design a website that benefits your journey as a developer!

After completing the first introduction course with SheCodes, i wanted to learn more. I have wanted to learn to code for a while but didn't know where to start. Matt's tutorials are very easy to follow and understand and helps us to complete the weekly homework and final projects. The support on slack is amazing and if you are stuck, you will have a reply within hours which has been a massive help. This course has been more challenging than the introduction course, but I am proud to have completed it.
I am beyond grateful to the SheCodes team for adding the Responsive workshop to their portfolio! It has helped me bridge any gaps in knowledge, especially around website responsiveness, that I had as an aspiring Front-end Developer having taken all previous workshops. The basics course is fantastic for those new to web development. It is a fantastic place to get started, test your abilities and develop the necessary problem-solving skills for being a successful web developer! I will definitely be progressing on to the next courses ASAP!
I can't believe that after 2 months and no prior experience in coding I'm able to build not only a simple website but a weather App. The course is so easy to understand thanks to Matt and very thorough. I can not recommend it enough !!

I loved this course! After the free class and the 3 weeks workshop, I was hooked on coding and decided to go for the 8 weeks workshop. Loved it! It's an intensive course and requires consistent work, I had to take a break due to work and found myself needing to revisit the entire course before I could proceed. Such an amazing journey it's been for me, from learning the fundamentals of Web Dev, to Vanilla JS and now React. After so many frustrating and expensive online tutorials and courses, SheCodes was a breath of fresh air for someone with no coding background like me. Matt is a fantastic teacher, he really knows his stuff! Every workshop is well designed and a lot of thought was put into these. Concepts are conveyed with examples and described in a simple and easy fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The lessons are super easy to follow, and homework and projects are great to put everything into practice by yourself. Couldn't recommend more!

I've always been so curious about coding, but never took the step to commit to a course to learn more until recently. Now I've completed the SheCodes Workshop, I can't believe I left it so long! I am so proud of what I've achieved and it's completely demystified everything I thought about coding. I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who's ever wanted to test the 'coding waters'. The classes stretch and challenge you - all at a really good pace - and the support which is available beyond the workshops, is so helpful. There's also nothing more satisfying than that lightbulb moment where your code works! Fun intro to front-end development!
I really enjoyed this 3 week workshop! At first I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to cope with the number of lessons and challenges there were to complete, in addition to the homework. But the lessons are short, to the point and extremely informative and in the end I thoroughly enjoyed working through the challenges and designing my final project! I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about signing up to just go for it! You won't regret it!

Great fun learning how to code would recommend for people looking to get into tech and non technical roles.
I made it! It was fun AND challenging at the same time. We learn the very very basic of these 3 languages and have an overall idea of the depth of coding. It is very easy to get frustrated but the community and SheCodes team helps you go through it.
Felt challenging and a bit too complicated sometimes for someone starting to code without prior experience. Nevertheless, the good thing about this online course is that you have access to all classes and materials all the time so if you don't feel sure about something, you can always revisit the class and watch the lesson again.
Broken down well
I have learned so much in such a short space of time. I never believed that this language was even attainable for someone like me. Still learning, but so much to build on for the next adventure in this world of coding. The online support is fantastic, thanks to all involved on Slack for answering all my queries!
This has been a really great intro to coding; easy to grasp and simple to fit around the day-to-day demands of life. I've enjoyed it, and who knows I may be back soon for further studying!
