Just completed SheCodes basics, really enjoyed it and learnt some great new skills, would highly recommend to anyone.
SheCodes Basics has been a great insight into the world of coding. I've always been interested and impressed by coding, but never thought it was something I could actually do myself. Now, I am excited to continue learning with SheCodes and to gain a career in the industry!
It was my first experience in coding and I found it very engaging and interesting. The way information is presented is accessible for complete beginners.The short lessons with challenges were very useful and helpful and I really enjoyed working on the final project. I am looking forward to a more advanced course.

I was happy to see this course added to the SheCodes list of workshops. I found it really interesting to learn how to create multi-page designs that are fully responsive.

Lessons were really clear and not too complicated to follow, the basic workshop is a good foundation for learning the basics of a new skill that might appear confusing to those wanting to learn to code, and thanks to Matt and the team who were really helpful when stuck on a topic, would definitely recommend to others!

This was such a great course! It gave a really great understanding in how to use React and being able to make two projects really helped to consolidate everything that we had learned in the earlier weeks.

I always found coding very difficult. I tried other learning platforms but it looked so complicated and difficult. But with shecodes, learning how to code was simplified, fun. I could do this all everyday. Never imagined saying that π. Great teaching, great learning experience!!!
I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning more about coding (no matter how much of a beginner you are!). Matt is a really good teacher and he makes it so easy to follow. The weekly challenges mean that you have the chance to practice everything you learn and the online forum makes you feel part of a community. I had a lot of fun taking this course.

I have always picked up new systems very easy so thought why not try coding. I do not regret it! It has been great to learn, be challenged and create. I didn't really know what to expect, but the course was easy to follow and really pushes you to figure things out for yourself. I've gone from knowing absolutely nothing to being able to actually make a page on the real life internet! Go me!
SheCodes Responsive has been a perfect addition to the SheCodes workshops. Matt makes the course concepts seem quite straight forward, but putting them into practice was quite challenging and at the same time super rewarding. It's given me the motivation to continue my coding journey and find new projects to add to my portfolio.
I work for a small legal charity which means that we all have a very hands-on role in all aspects of the work we do - including keeping our website up-to-date! I did this course to improve my skills and learn something new (especially during lockdown). I learned so much and had way more fun doing it than I thought I would! I would highly recommend this course to any women; it's a must.

I completed this course while on maternity leave to see if coding might be something I'd like to pursue when I go back to work. Having a young baby; I struggled to complete the assignments in time, however SheCodes were very understanding and I extended my deadlines with ease. SheCodes provides another alternatives during this hard period in covid 2020. I had never imagined that I would have interested in IT-related career. I then became a firm believer that I will obtain something if I purchase this workshop after finishing the three-weeks basic workshop. And most importantly, I found a tremendous fact that coding is the language communicating to the human future.
I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Plus workshop, I love the way it is designed and delivered. The lessons are very well structured and Matt has provided lots of examples that help assimilate the knowledge. Looking forward to the next one!

Coming to this course knowing absolutely nothing about coding, I can't believe how much I've learned so far having only taken this class for the past 3 weeks! For the first time, I'm actually enjoying what I'm learning and feel thoroughly confident in my ability to do the task at hand! I find the challenges very useful because they forced me to practice coding instead of just taking notes (a bad habit of mine). All of the practice through the challenges really helped get the lesson ideas stuck in my head and I really feel like I know the content. I can see my coding skills quickly improving! I can't wait to learn more about coding and am really looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus! :)

When I started an internship back in August, I was introduced to the world of coding which I had NEVER come across before. It became a goal of mine to learn more. With SheCodes being targeted towards women and I, being enthusiastic about women in STEM, we were a perfect match. Having completed this course on the basics, I'm ready to do more and expand my knowledge further.
I really enjoyed SheCodes basic workshop it got me understanding fundamentals of code. The group slack is also very helpful. Would recommend for beginners.

If you are complete beginner and feeling really overwhelmed with all the training out there for HTML, CSS and JavaScript - unsure where to start - then SheCodes is for you. Everything is broken down into simple easy to understand bitesize chunks. If you have a free 10 minutes you can easily pick up a module and complete it to the end. You can easily fit the weekly work required into your week outside of full time work and other responsibilities. SheCodes gives you round the clock support with access to their network of support staff and other learners. Just pop a question down and somebody always answers in no time.

I started this workshop with no coding experience at all and after three weeks I have learnt so much. Having dabbled in code, but completely self taught I wanted to put myself through some lessons and tasks to learn the correct or best way to code. I've tried a few different course, and SheCodes is by fast the best I've done so far. It was interesting throughout and set up in chunks that are detail enough to learn from while being able to fit around work and family. I would concider completing further courses in the future.

Iβve wanted to learn code for a while, but it always seemed like a daunting task. Iβm so glad to have finally taken this step with SheCodes as the lessons are easy to follow and most importantly flexible. This experience has motivated me to continue coding and I would really recommend SheCodes to anyone thinking about learning code!

I have loved every part of the SheCodes workshops. I have now started an access course on computer science and so can go to university in 2022. I would never have been confident enough to do this without SheCodes! Highly recommend
This review is a contrast to the review of the first Shecodes course. Overall, I really struggled with this course. For me, it felt like a massive step-up and I am not sure I made it. I have submitted a very basic and flawed final project which I aim to keeping working on. I felt many of the JS topics were rushed and too advanced for me as my only experience was that provided in the first certificate experience . Everyone else seems to have swam through theirs with ease. So, I think working full-time, being a parent and being older than most in the cohort has not helped! I regret to say this will be the last of my Shecodes experience as I really struggled with holding onto and applying the learning provided. Good luck but definitely be prepared to watch those videos several times.
It is simply not possible to live in this era without speaking these languages. This was a great way to start. As basic as it may seem to experts, this course has opened up a whole new way of thinking to me. It allowed me the flexibility I needed to make it happen, with a toddler and a baby in the house plus my own teaching job. Bring it on SheCodes! Way to go!!

What an experience! If you told me a few months ago I would have built an app from scratch, from my own design AND hosted it online I would have told you were crazy. It was tough but boy am I glad I stuck with it. Invaluable knowledge for sure.
This 8-week workshop was very challenging but rewarding at the same time. If you work a full-time job and are considering doing this workshop, I advise you to strictly manage your time. It was quite tough to learn something new on weekly basis and retain that information while still working full-time.
