Coding is something I have wanted to learn for some time so I did quite a bit of research online, but I kept coming back to SheCodes, so I booked myself onto the free 1 hour session one evening. I was completely engrossed and couldn't wait to start learning properly. I was really drawn to SheCodes as everything is broken down into bite-sized sections, and as a complete newbie, this really stood out to me. I love the fact there are lots of shorter exercises to complete after most of the lessons with a longer homework piece at the end of the week. Being quite a practical learner, this is by far the best way to help me understand. Love how there is a community on Slack, where everyone can help out, as well as the experts if you get really stuck. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants a taster of how websites work; but be prepared, you may good hooked!
I am a UX Designer and I never imagined that I would enjoy coding. A great course! It will help me to feel more confident speaking to devs. It can be tricky depending on what needs to be done, but it's definitely not rocket science!

This is one of the best workshops/courses I have ever done! Like ever! I was a self-taught novice before this workshop (I could use a little basic CSS but that was it), but I have walked away with so much knowledge! I cannot believe I have been sending these sort of requests/fixes to a developer all this time. Now I have the knowledge to tackle these jobs myself and use my developer for chunkier projects. This has been a fun but challenging course. It has been frustrating at times, but the sense of accomplishment once it all comes together has been worth it.
The course was really engaging and interesting, I was able to keep up with the lessons and at no point did I feel lost or confused. The course also pushed me to work things out on my own and I'm really impressed that in 3 weeks I've gone from knowing nothing about coding to building my own website. Would recommend to anyone looking to build their skills in coding!

SheCodes is amazing! I've completed a few other "beginner" courses online but Matt is the only instructor out there who actually focuses on the basics and doesn't try to teach too many new concepts in one go. I feel like I finally understand basic Javascript which has been a huge struggle for me in the past. Can't wait to learn more in SheCodes Plus!

I took this course to open up good coding logic and practice to move on to other languages. Overall this taster was great value for money and I learned a lot in 3 weeks, Matt is a great teacher and the short lessons and regular homework to apply your knowledge to are paced really well for a beginner. If I wanted to move into front end dev I would take the more advanced workshops in a hot minute!
A great intro to HTML, CSS and JS, with the added bonus of a great support system for any troubleshooting, which was hard to come by. I came into this with no prior knowledge of coding and have already signed up for SheCodes Plus.
SheCodes has thoroughly helped me in understanding the fundamentals of coding, including elements of its language, structure, and layout, as well as the vast prospecting world within it, leaving me eager to discover more! An amazing experience! I used to be afraid of coding because no-one had explained to me how it works or how to code. I started this course very sceptical and I adored it! This was such a great course for a newbie - Matt is a really good teacher and the videos were super informative and helpful. I loved the challenges at the end of each video to put into practice what we'd just been taught and found it easy to follow along. I was worried I'd feel overwhelmed but Matt was great at humanising and explaining code - can't wait to get stuck into SheCodes Plus!!

This is honestly one of the best things I could have done for myself! I've been looking at the site for the last year and a bit, wondering if I should take the plunge, and I'm annoyed that it took me so long to make the decision to join! The little bitesize videos (nothing is really longer than 10 minutes, maybe just one) are so easy to digest and everything makes sense. Even if you don't understand anything, there's a whole community of women who can help you as well. I'm going the full way with SheCodes Pro, and doing the first 3 weeks of the workshop has let me know that I've made the right choice! I would DEFINITELY recommend!
After 11 years of gap, I started updating my knowledge about computers by doing some free courses, I was frustrated as there is no particular way. While doing these tutorials, I came across SheCodes workshop which matched my expectation to pursue my goal to become a front -end developer. SheCodes courses are well designed and easy to learn. In terms of easy to learn, the courses has not only learning tutorials but also some short challenges and solutions. I have completed SheCodes Plus and React courses and recently I join Responsive course. Through this I understand current Tech world about website-application design and development. This course is really fun! It's a natural graduation from the Basics and Plus courses which enables you to really cement key principles. As always, the course is broken down into very manageable ,and enjoyable, steps. I really liked this course, however completed it much quicker than expected as there is overlap with the SheCodes Plus course. I still think it's worthwhile and offers valuable content.
This was my first proper coding workshop and I have to say its was brilliant. I really enjoyed learning and creating a page from scratch, and I will definitely be looking into improving my skills and knowledge further.

I absolutely loved this course! It made something that seemed overwhelming to learn into something very easy to pick up - I would definitely recommend this course for anybody looking into coding but doesn't know where to start! 10/10
I've been trying to learn coding for many years, but to no avail. I was at the verge of giving up on ever learning how to code when I came across the SheCodes advertisement on YouTube. Like how any regular language is taught, SheCodes teaches coding by explaining the very basics - definitions of each "vocabulary", how to use "punctuations", how to structure the "grammar" of the language, and even how to source for bugs and search for solutions when our codes do not work. The programme not also teaches the fundamental knowledge, but it scaffolds for future independent development. Its an amazing programme and definitely worth the investment.
I went on to complete the Shecodes plus workshop to further my skills and knowledge of coding and I am happy that I did and with what I have achieved. The online support offered was invaluable when I needed it and being part of the community was upholding, with this I have learnt so much 😁
It was a very interesting workshop, I have learned so much. It is not easy and it does get very frustrating a lot of times but on the other hand, it does give you a huge sense of accomplishment when you see the final project finished. I like the fact that there are challenges at the end of each class and also the support and help you can get on Slack. It is still a lot more to learn and I think SheCodes is a very good starting point. :)
I really enjoyed the first part of the workshop! It is very easy to follow and very well taught.
The SheCodes workshops are really easy to navigate and force a very welcome problem-solving nature. You have to put into practice everything you learn and the availability of help is really useful and reassuring. The video lectures with a partnered task really promote an active learning experience and the final project really helps you to put things together and combine all you have learned. Great interface, simple resources and help is easily available. I really enjoyed the intro to coding and believe that the benefits and transferable skills certainly go beyond just jobs in webdev.
It was an amazing journey, couldn't have been more prouder doing a course that would teach me soo much about coding, I'm glad I chose this course to study. Moreover I have chosen to carry on SheCodes and learn more in SheCodes plus, react and responsive. For someone who doesn't have any Coding background, SheCodes really helped me understand the basics of Javascript. It is very straightforward, simplified and explained in layman's terms. I've had an absolute blast on this course. I really engaged with the style of learning as it was interactive and well paced. There are so many extra tools that SheCodes offers when learning, which allowed me to tailor my learning to suit me. Whenever I had a problem, the response on slack was so quick and allowed me to see where I had gone wrong or what I needed to do in order to improve my code.

The SheCodes 3-week workshop was the perfect introduction into coding. Matt is a fantastic teacher - he explains everything so clearly, making it accessible to everyone (even complete beginners). The course content was well-paced, practical, and enjoyable. I have dabbled with Codecademy and some free coding resources before but still found them a little too theory based for my learning style. I really enjoyed the challenges, the structure of the workshop delivery and how Matt shows you how to utilize different tools to aid you in your work! Definitely re-sparked my interest and passions in the Coding and Web Development world and I can't wait to start the next workshop!
