I found this course to be exceptionally clear and easy to follow. I think the spec is a little misleading. It says 3 weeks of course content when in reality it's 2 weeks plus a personal project. You don't learn anything in the 3rd week but it's a great opportunity to practice your skills. I wouldn't pay £79 for the amount of content provided. Also, the assistants on slack are very slow at coming back to you. The average amount of time I waited was 12 hours. I would suggest a live chat option on your website for those who need a quicker response.
I have always wanted to learn more about coding, but never would have thought that I would be doing a course with a 2 month old baby. It is broken down into good size lessons that meant I could aim to do a bit every day to stay on track. I am looking forward to learning more!

SheCodes has taught me so much in the past three weeks - i hope to revisit SheCodes and further my coding education after my university studies!
I decided to attempt this course to give myself a solid foundation in coding and I haven't regretted it. This course explains things clearly for complete novices like myself and it's exciting to see how fast you develop your skills over a short amount of time.
I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to code through the SheCodes workshop and found Matt's lessons and challenges extremely useful. I feel I have a new skill now that I can continue to develop and possibly pursue a career in. I have already recommended it to friends as you get a great understanding of the foundation and fundamentals of coding compared to other courses being offered. My only issue would be the amount of 5 hours a week mentioned when I took the initial free workshop was not realistic for me as a complete beginner going through each lesson and challenge and then solution required time to absorb all of the new information I was receiving. I would therefore advise anyone who is new to coding and wants to take this course and has other commitments such as full time work, commuting, family etc to be prepared to block out time everyday to go through lessons otherwise it could become overwhelming to complete over the weekend.
I love 💜SheCodes because it has a lot of practical step by step homework. The teaching, video and content quality are one of the best I've ever seen. I never knew anything about HTML, CSS, JS until I came across Matt's learning method and tutorials. I have learnt a lot through this 3-weeks course. Thank you Matt and SheCodes's team. Having had not much contact with writing code in HTML, CSS & Javascript I found this course to be a good intro.
A fun and well-explained course. I finally feel like learning to code is not an insurmountable challenge.
I definitely recommend this to total beginners, and people who are foreign to the world of coding. Matt was very clear and explained everything step by step in the videos, which was great. The challenges provided a good mechanism to practice the learning. I also love how I was able to fit this workshop around my schedule. One feedback I have is that the challenges could have been a bit harder and longer to really improve learning. But other than that, I really recommend this!

I joined with zero knowledge about coding and just wanted to try something new. The lessons are well structured and challenging but also surprisingly fun. I was slightly worried about it feeling like an information overload, but the lessons and were broken out into manageable topics and Matt's way of teaching made it interesting. I'm really glad I signed up for the 3 week course and would recommend this to anyone trying to broaden their understanding of coding.
It was tough, and a bit stressful and confusing at times but it gets easier the more you practice and go over everything. It was more enjoyable and interesting than I thought it would be, I have started to feel more confident in my abilities thanks to this workshop. Recommended to anyone and everyone no matter your background, especially anyone doubting themselves. :)
I think SheCodes has been really insightful to the Coding world. Matt is really good at demonstrating through the videos, and in a very simple easy way to understand.
SheCodes has been great! Fun lessons and projects! Matt is a really great teacher, the different subjects are broken down into smaller lessons so it doesn't feel overwhelming. I had never coded before doing this course and feel that I have a real strong base knowledge thanks to SheCodes!

I loved the SheCodes Workshop! Coding is something I have wanted to try for a long time, but I have always been put off by the fact that you are always told at school that coding is only for the people who were the very best at maths. However, as this course has taught me, that isn't at all the case! If you put your mind to it, anyone can learn how to code. I fully support any initiatives to encourage girls and women to code, as we are very underrepresented in the tech sector. Thank you to Matt Delac and the team for helping me on the first steps of my coding journey -- I will be continuing to develop my front-end development skills.

Everything is explained in plain English so even for people who doesn`t have IT programming background can understand it. I've thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes workshop - I had never done any coding before this and do not consider myself to be very "tech savvy" but I'm so glad I gave it a go! The lessons are really easy to follow and completing the smaller intermittent challenges as you go along provides a great opportunity to wrap your head around it all. The workshop has totally changed my opinion on what coding is and I'm considering doing more in the future!

I really enjoyed the tasks set with each tutorial to give me the opportunity to test what I had learnt. I found this to be a very effective way to learn how to code quickly and I had lots of fun whilst doing so!
SheCodes is for certain the best place for any lass, however, experienced get more involved and in-depth with the latest software languages, even if it's used as a refresher or starting to learn HTML, CSS & JavaScript from scratch, there's nowhere else I'd recommend going ♥🦊

With each lesson you build up your knowledge a little bit more, until all of a sudden you can code a basic webpage. I was happy to find a platform that encourages anyone can learn coding even with no prior knowledge of what or how coding works. Matt helps break down barriers of the preconceived ideas that coding is difficult and for people with advanced computer skills. Understanding coding is made achievable by Matt breaking down lessons into simple interesting sections, they don't overwhelm you in one go! Learning online with other students in the same boat have been a flexible and reassuring journey as everyone works at a different pace, reaching towards the same goal, João and Lexi have been welcoming and helpful throughout the weeks, thank you SheCodes team it was a great journey.

I really enjoyed learning to code and found the slack app very helpful to look up problems I come across and have already been answered by other users. I liked that after every lesson we then had to put this into practice which is how I learn best.

Some people might tell you "you can learn on youtube" but, believe me, you will end up feeling frustrated. Imagine these workshops as if they were called "Programming for dummies". I've been interested in coding for a while, but I figured that it was out of my reach. However recently I'd been wanting to expand my skills and when I found SheCodes I thought it was at least worth a go. What I was not expecting was just how accessible and easy to understand Matt has made this course. In just three weeks I've developed skills I didn't think were possible for me as well as the understanding to expand my skills further on my own. I'd encourage anyone who likes the idea of coding but is scared to get started to give SheCodes a try!
This workshop has taken me from a complete beginner, with no coding experience to being able to code my own landing page (with JavaScript enabled user interactivity). All in the space of 3 weeks! Very happy with what I have learned so far and looking forward to getting all the way through to SheCodes React. The guidance from the tutorials and interactiveness of the challenges cater well to my learning style. Thanks to all the SheCodes Team, especially Matt for his amazing teaching skills.
When I first saw some examples of the end project for sheCodes plus I didn't think I'd ever be able to make something that sophisticated. But by about week 6 I had become so obsessed with improving my app that I ended up making something even more sophisticated than the requirements for the course and I'm so proud of it. I really feel like the course is really good for encouraging you to stretch yourself and learn code for yourself. I wouldn't have been able to fix some of my bugs without João from the slack support chat so shout out to him as well.

Despite this course being provided via distance learning, there is a real sense of community established with the way the course is run, and the people that are available to interact with and get to know. I started the SheCodes workshops with no prior knowledge to coding. I am happy to say that I was able to understand all the classes. The most exciting part for me was the last project, but also the challenges along the way have made this journey easier for me. I never thought I could ever understand HTML, CSS and JavaScript or even build my own page.
I never thought I would be able to understand any code but with SheCodes, it was easy for me to understand. Practical homework and doing it yourself really helps to understand how elements work and how things interact with each other. SheCodes has made me believe that I can venture further into coding without being afraid like I was before.

I would recommend to anyone interested in coding. Matt starts from the beginning and builds you up so that before you know it, you're doing it! And problem solving too! There was help on hand whenever I needed it (late into the evening) and I was able to do it around other commitments. This course is very well set out and you can take it at your own pace. I loved the small challenges leading to the weekly homework. It allowed you to really get to grips with coding in small manageable chunks.
