After I participated in SheCodes workshop, I immediately applied! I cannot believe what I can now do, I thought it was very difficult, especially if you don't have any knowledge on the subject. The videos are easy to follow and the course is well structured and even if you don't have a lot of time, the lessons are short and straight forward.

I absolutely loved the course! I've always struggled to get to grips with coding but this course has ticked all the boxes and gave me confidence I never knew I had! Highly recommend.
It was quite exciting. The thrill of learning to create something from scratch will never get old. Although the frustration when nothing seems to work is real; but the exhilaration when you figure out how to make it run properly and why it wasn't working previously might just get you dancing. 😂

Aside from dabbling in a few free apps, I had never coded before trying this course. I wasn't sure where to start. This course has proved the perfect introduction, and I feel fortunate to have found it. There is a great balance between teaching and having to put your learning into practice, and really interesting and useful introductions to 'thinking like a developer': using developer tools, learning to find good sources of information when you don't know something, and working solutions out for yourself. I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!
Loved this course! Went out of my comfort zone and I have absolutely no regrets. Matt, Lexi and João have been absolute stars on the live support Slack group. These last 2 months have been challenging but so rewarding! Can't wait for React 👩💻 😎
A great intro to coding for someone who has never coded before. I particularly appreciated the practice-based structure of the course - every short instruction video is followed by a hands-on puzzle-like challenge, which really helps keep one interested and motivated. I have also found the technical support from staff on Slack very quick and helpful. Would highly recommend!

If you have even the slightest interest in coding, do the SheCodes Workshop! At first I was a bit skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the course as I've attempted to code in the past but it never stuck. Believe me, it's worth it! The videos are clear, concise and Matt makes everything as easy to follow as possible. The challenges and homework set out are one of the things that stick out for me from the programme compared to other learning platforms; They encourage you to practise what you've learnt and research things on your own. Another amazing perk is that Matt teaches you not only how to code, but also provides tips along the way of which resources are best to use alongside. It's been an amazing experience and I look forward to doing the SheCodes Plus workshop next!

I definitely recommend learning with SheCodes. After losing my job due to Covid19, I took the beginner course to initially decide if it was for me or not, as well as to enhance my IT skills. The lessons are very user-friendly and it's great that you can progress at your own pace, with sensible and achievable deadlines to work towards. I was wrong to assume that coding would be boring and impossible, I've found it really engaging and actually good fun. I plan to continue with SheCodes!

I would highly recommend a course with SheCodes. I have always been interested in coding and I thought SheCodes Workshop would be a good introduction--I was not disappointed. The workshop is a mix of short videos explaining key concepts and a challenge for each concept. There are then larger "challenges" in the form of weekly homework and projects. The length of the videos makes them very easy to get through, and the challenges ensure that you have fully grasped a concept before introducing a new one. I would definitely consider another SheCodes course in future!

Great course for beginners that will take you from never writing a line of code to learning the basics of html, css and JavaScrpt as well as creating a homepage for the final assignment. Coding has always been a part of my academic life, given that I am a physics student. However, I've always found coding quite challenging especially since I've never truly found the "proper" way to learn it that works for me. I'm truly happy I've come across SheCodes, not only did I get rid of my fear of coding, but also gained valuable skills and confidence in pushing myself to achieve more. This has been a truly eye-opening experience with lots you can take away from. I would definitley recommed this workshop to anyone who is wanting to start their coding journey or someone who wants to turn the page and call coding their friend, like myself. The course content is very insightful, interactive and supportive!

I was highly impressed with this workshop. The structure of the course was excellent, with very clear teaching and helpful exercises to embed that knowledge along the way. From a starting point of nervous, novice coder, I feel hugely more confident in doing some basic coding and I am eager to learn more.

Great course from start to finish! The number of lessons each week was initially quite daunting and I wasn't sure at first whether I would have the time to fit them in around work, but once I started and got to know the format, I found it flowed really well. The challenges were fun but tough, there was a really good balance between difficulty and enjoyment. I loved creating my final project and can't wait to keep practicing and building on these new skills.
I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone! The workshop was a really good introduction to coding, and as a complete beginner, I found it fun and easy to follow.

I loved this course! The lessons are in really manageable chunks so it is easy to work on alongside a job. I've never thought about learning how to code until I found myself in a quest to change careers and then saw a SheCodes add on Instagram. By curiosity, I decided to participate in the free coding class to see if I would enjoy it. And for my surprise I did.
