I highly recommend this course for anyone who is interested in learning something new. I went into this not knowing anything about coding, and now I feel fairly confident after 3 weeks on how to make a basic website!
As a full time mother I found the flexibility of the course very useful. The lessons are clear and to the point and allowed me to learn progressively without feeling overwhelmed.

I don't think I could have learnt what I did in the same amount of time if it wasn't for the great structure of the workshop, where we get immediately challenged after every lesson. Really cementing what we learnt by putting it in practice ourselves. Doing this top-up worskhop a couple months after my intro to coding, was definitely challenging but very enjoyable.
A good add-on workshop to advance the skills learnt in the Basics Workshop. The difference in quality and user interface between the project for the Basics and this one is vast - it really shows the improvement you make quickly once you know the basics! Looking forward to the next workshop.
I just wanted to share how passionate i am about my favorite brand, not only for the quality of the products but ethos and work ethic this company holds. I'm over the moon that such a inspirational brand was built in my generation and that dreams really can come true. Credit to Matt who has also built up a incredible platform for women in tech to branch out their future careers.

I really loved working on this project. I went along and created step-by.-step following each video and then modified colors, style etc. at the end. Instructions were really clear and it was easy to build while following each video so that there were only final tweaks left at the end before submitting the final project.
I kept seeing ads for SheCodes on Instagram and thought why not sign up for the free class, a few weeks later and I've completed SheCodes Basics and learnt a lot of new skills opening up wider opportunities for me in the future.
It was challenging at times, but very fun as well!
Having done barely any coding and coming from a biological science background, I found this course easy to follow but challenging in all the right ways! I am disappointed that it has ended! :(
In just a couple of weeks, I was able to code something that looked professional! The bite-size way in which content is delivered makes it super accessible, and the challenges are very effective at getting you to learn by doing.
The React Add-On workshop, like all others, was challenging but fun. The workshop was well-structured, and I've really enjoyed Matt's teaching style. I would definitely recommend ALL SheCodes Workshops!

What a wonderful course! Matt packs in lots of learning into the lessons, and it's all so practical. Even down to keyboard shortcuts to make your development time quicker. It's a great introduction to frontend web development.
It definitely wasn't easy which I expected, I just launched my idea into reality. I built my first interactive weather app and I must say it's worth it. Excited to see where this journey takes me.
React was a lot more challenging than the other courses but very rewarding when I complete the project.
I have really enjoyed all the online classes. The format in which is everything presented allows for great flexibility which is exactly what I need to be able to complete this. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of learning new skills and seeing the progress that I have made in such a short space of time. I plan to continue my coding journey even if it is only for my own personal use. Coding is something that I never thought I would be able to do but I have absolutely loved it.

I've had a lot of fun learning about new coding proprieties. Although challenging at times, I enjoy experimenting and seeing what works best. Matt also provides a great guide to follow and take inspiration from.

This has been such a great course! I've been thinking about trying coding for years but was afraid to take this step to find out I failed. SheCodes and Matt have made it as straightforward as it can be for a complete beginner. You made me think that maybe I can in fact do it and that coding can really be for anyone. Can't wait for more courses to dive even deeper!
After each course I can feel my confidence building! After finishing the responsive course I feel I can start to work on real life projects to help build my portfolio and work on changing my career to being a full time front end developer!
I struggle with motivation when I don't have a group to study with but this has easily been the easiest course to stick to for me.

SheCodes Basics has been nothing short of incredible! Matt's teaching style is terrific as he thoroughly explains the purpose of the code whilst providing coding examples to visualise how it works. I am amazed at the knowledge & skills I've gained from completing the workshop, and I'm excited to progress to the next workshop.
First and foremost, the workshop was incredibly well organised. The workshop itself was divided into well-structured modules, each building on the previous one. This progressive approach allowed me to grasp the fundamentals of coding in a logical and practical manner.
The SheCodes workshops are fun and engaging. I never would have thought coding could be something I'd pick up, let alone enjoy. But here I am excited to start the next level!

Wow, I cannot believe I have completed the full Max curriculum! I have learnt so much since starting and can now create webpages and webapps with different coding languages and tools. I have to thank Matt Delac as his videos, challenges and homework have guided me to this point. It has been very fun (and hard at some points). I cannot recommend this course enough and look forward to a future with all this knowledge under my belt!

I highly enjoyed learning about the different elements within HTML, CSS and JavaScript as well as the new platforms/websites I was introduced to along the way. I found the course relatively simple and easy to understand which was ideal for a beginner coder like me and I am certain other people wanting to start coding will feel the same way. :)

The course was really comprehensive and helped me consolidate knowledge I already had with things I learned here at SheCodes. The support is great and the lessons are broken down into very manageable chunks which makes it easy to fit them into a busy schedule. You get plenty of opportunities to practice your knowledge.
Absolutely loved exploring more of CSS to enhance my website's overall visual appeal. The focus on CSS perfectly complemented what I've learned in Basics, seamlessly building on my existing knowledge. Incorporating Javascript to toggle dark mode was a great addition to the workshop, which has elevated my understanding and practical application of design principles. SheCodes basics is a great package if you're just starting out, and want to know the basics! Although some areas are challenging, I have learnt skills I will always remember.
The journey is only beginning. I have learned a lot with this Add-on project. Now to consolidate it all and carry it into my future projects. I am very grateful for the journey.
After continuously seeing Instagram ads for a free coding lesson, I decided to sign up and the hour long lesson did not disappoint. I was able to gain more of an insight into the basic creation of a web page. Having completed the 3 week course, it has shown me the importance of logic, problem-solving and being persistent. I hope to continue to grow these new skills and hopefully use them professionally one day.
SheCodes Plus proved to be an exciting challenge. Matt made the learning experience both insightful and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This has been a delightful challenge that has stretched my mind. I have never coded at all before and I am not terribly tech minded. It has taken a little bit of time on some of the challenges but it has been worth it. Particularly when you work something out and it goes right!

It was great to challenge myself further with more advanced Javascript and API integration to create the final project, which was a weather app.
Once again, a super enjoyable course from Matt. All the techniques we've learnt up until now are starting to become second nature, and these are all things that were almost completely new to me a few weeks ago. I've enjoyed this course so much and I'm really looking forward to starting the next one. Thanks! π

I cant believe how Shecodes changed my life in just 3 weeks. Shecodes made me a software engineer in the making. I was able to do lots of research when I am stuck on tasks and home work.I learnt and excelled during my 3 weeks training on html,css and javascript. I would recommend Shecodes to anyone especially with no coding experience like me. Matt is a good teacher.
In less than three weeks, I have gone from knowing NOTHING about coding to being addicted - I love it. Good lessons with challenges to reinforce learning along the way, I'm so pleased with my progress.

This part of the course was a hard one! But very much worth it!
As a coding newbie this has been challenging but so much fun! It's a great start to learning the basics. I love the small, focused steps of learning with application tasks throughout the week followed by a more challenging application task at the end of the week. The scaffolding of the learning is fantastic with learners signposted to lots of resources to help them. While my end of unit project won't win any design awards, I'm so proud of what I have learned in just 3 weeks!
This has been my very first experience with Coding. The best part of coding to me is to see the results of your work straight away. I love that I have now learnt how to create the basics of a website and I have really enjoyed seeing this first project from start to finish. I am really looking forward to continuing to the next level with SheCodes! π
I really enjoyed this workshop - you learn a lot of cool things in a short amount of time. The structure of the course is great and I like how all the lessons before it are then used to create the final project which really helps build the coding skills into your muscle memory.
I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid Β£1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost Β£500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
I started this course knowing absolutely nothing about coding and finished this short course with a lot of knowledge about what coding is and even could be. I find myself thinking how certain websites were coded and how I would go about it myself. Although it was a lot of information, Matt did a great job at teaching clearly, having the videos to refer back too was a great help too.
