I started the SheCodes Basic out of curiosity - I still don't know if I want to change my career but I definitely liked the workshop! The tasks were challenging yet not intimidating. The short lessons gave the opportunity to learn everything step by step. And finally I found out where the emojis are on windows π I will definitely do the next course within a few months π

Although I had some basics in html from long long time ago, SheCodes workshop let me organise my knowledge. All lessons are very clear and well organised! Very inspiring! I have so many new ideas to apply in my artworks and creative projects! I can't wait for more!
in just two months from knowing nothing related to coding to building a weather app from scratch.starting this with a 4 months newborn added a new challenge to me.mother in the morning and a coder till midnight. now i can say i truly found the passion i was searching for.

Coding was something I head at the back of my mind for some time now. About a year ago, when the pandemic started, I tried out a beginner Java course, but couldn't visualize things well or understand how they are being used in real projects. In SheCodes Plus I was able to immediately try things out and see them in the browser and everything started making more sense. My vanilla weather app looks very simple, but it's a great feeling to know I was able to get to this point. I feel there is a lot in front of me and I can't wait to start the React course.

Learning how to code was on my to-do list for ages, but starting from 0 without any prior knowledge felt intimidating. I've been somewhat interested in coding / web developing for a few years now, but learning everything by myself resulted in quite a mess in my head. SheCodes finally helped me make it all make sense! In addition to the very basics I've known, Matt and his team taught me many new tricks and possibilities that I'm sure will greatly improve my future projects. Every part of the course is designed really well, and even if you struggle with getting something work there's a huge support net made of SheCodes team and other students eager to help you figure things out. This course got me totally hooked on coding and I hope I'll be able to continue to progress!

The workshop has been a real fun and educational experience! I had completely forgotten that over a decade ago I used to enjoy editing my MySpace and LastFM profiles so much, and the free class I signed up for spontaneously reminded me about that. It was so great that I enrolled on the Basics Workshop with no hesitation. Very happy to found this courses! In less than 3 weeks I have learned how to actually build something from scratch even if it is very basic. Any time I had problem it was solved quickly on Slack and also I was happy when I could help solving other's problems. I recommend it to anyone, even if you do not want to work in IT it is fun to learn how the web pages work.

SheCodes workshop with basic coding was soo much fun! The course can be challenging at times, but seeing the results of your work is worth every second spent researching, training, and writing code. Also, it was a great opportunity to meet a female, open community.
To be honest this workshop didn't go well with my personal life. The old version of me would run away and cry but not me now! I loved every step of creating this app. I'm a creative person but I was forgetting about this trait of mine lately. But making this app, realizing how many ideas I have! I wanted to implement them all! It's so amazing knowing there are endless possibilities of how to style the page or create interesting functions. I can't wait to start the third one of my workshops! This is a journey of my life, I'm grateful for what the SheCodes team does for all of us π
I never thought that I would be learning how to code, or at least trying to! The workshops show that it is absolutely possible no matter of your education or experience. It is super exciting to gain such a knowledge to understand a little bit of programming and to be able to create a simple website. Topics are easily explained and the prepared challenges are motivating to look for more on your own.
Another great course from SheCodes! I had fun creating the weather app step by step with Matts instructions and clarifications. The strong part of the course is the great not too long lessons and the fact that you can go back to the material and learn from your mistakes. Thank you!

In my case, joining SheCodes was a totally spontaneous decision :) I had no experience in coding and I loved the lessons. Everything is explained step by step and you can get help any second. I was born and raised in Poland and I'm still living there today (with few years breaks here and there around the world). I went to the University in my hometown and received a Master Degree in Law and Language of Business. I've had many jobs over the years spanning different fields. I've worked in Law, Insurance, Marine Projects and Mechanical Engineering Industries, and as a pastry chef. I'm working currently as a Project Coordinator in eCommerce. I love collecting new experiences and travelling the world solo β and what I love the most is combining these two. I play the ukulele, cook(soft spot for cakes!), and never refuse to play a new board game in my spare time. I also try to defeat my scares of heights by rock climbing. Along with many other interests, I have also had an interest in coding for years to improve my personal and professional skill set. But I was always afraid that coding is gonna be too hard to learn. This course proof me wrong! Can't wait to learn more!

SheCodes provides an amazing introduction to coding. The thing I learned besides coding is being patient and trying to solve the code on my own. Sometimes coding can be frustrating but the satisfaction afterward gives you the confidence to keep going! I will try to make more websites in my free time in the future.

If you have absolutely zero experience with coding but want to learn - this course is for you. Everything is explained in a clear, easy way but the biggest advantage is probably the number of tasks and team support.
The basics course was literally swallowed in 3 days (thanks to the long weekend). I have always felt like gravitating to coding, visited a couple of free sessions, but was a bit scared of such dramatical change... or better tell 'another dramatical change'. Not telling that I'm not scared anymore, though already making more conscious steps along the coding way. Small run behind, big run ahead. Big and super exciting. Thanks to SheCodes for guiding me.

Great experiance in every possible way. Don't get me wrong: it was hard, sometimes even frustrating but with all help that this course is giving, you can feel the real progress, have fun, exercise your brain (yes, I mean that !) and in the end: believe in yourself. And those were only words I could describe myself with. πI finished university with Tourism and Recreation degree and worked few jobs but since I'm already 26, I felt that time is clearly not on my side.. So I decided to do something about it. I saw SheCodes ads a long time ago but honestly? I was too scared that I'm to 'stupid' to do it. Well, it appears I'm definitely not! I believe this course is going to open new job opportunities for me, but besides that, it made me feel more confident about myself. I'm finally good at something. I enjoyed every coded string of this adventure! There was a lot of information so I'm definitely doing some revisions soon. Kudos to the Slack support team - they're always patient and ready to find that one missing letter/symbol/forgotten brackets that crash your code.
