After completing the SheCodes Basics workshop, I feel much more confident about my decision to pursue a career in Web Development. Matt is a great teacher and his lessons are very thought out and easy to follow. The homeworks and projects are fun!
I have learned much more through SheCodes Plus than I could have on my own in this amount of time. I am ready to take on the next section of SheCodes and continue my coding learning!
All I can say is WOW. I came into SheCodes with a little bit under my belt when it came to coding. So I was a little nervous and didnβt know what to expect out of this or out of me. But I jumped right in and everything came naturally. It made me feel like I belong. Like this is my purpose. Itβs the best feeling. A feeling I couldnβt really explain. But Iβm glad I choose SheCodes because it gave me my confidence and knowledge.
At first I looked at coding to be very intimidating to even try. Now, after a few weeks I was able to create a page. This is only the beginning. I am so excited to see where I will go from here.
I originally enrolled on a University course and I immediately hated it. I have to say that SheCodes has been VERY enjoyable, the concepts are easy to understand and applicable, the assignments make sense and it is actually a lot of fun!

I come from a healthcare background, so I was a bit intimidated to start a coding course. I was happily surprised! After getting used to the set-up, I was able to understand and complete the challenges and projects with more ease than I expected. I was looking for some sort of change in my career and didn't really know where to begin as I was extremely hesitant about going back to school. That's when I came across SheCodes. As a beginner, I had no idea what HTML, CSS, or Javascript even was before this workshop. The videos walk you through step-by-step for each lesson, so you never feel lost. Although it was challenging, it was like doing a puzzle every week. I highly recommend SheCodes.

SheCodes makes learning about coding in a direct and fun way. Everything was straight to the point and the exercises were a direct reflection of the material learned.
The course has been amazing! It's organized in a way that's very easy to follow, even for complete beginners. I also really like the fact how Matt encourages you to explore things on your own even if they are not explicitly discussed in the initial tutorials. That gives us more opportunities to explore on our own, and it has helped me grow even more.

I really enjoyed taking these courses. I learned some things that I didn't know in regard to CSS and Javascript. I actually had a hard time learning JavaScript in the past, and have had a much easier time learning with SheCodes. This is a fantastic course! The content is laid out really well and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges at the end of the lessons. Matt is very easy to understand and is very succinct yet thorough in his teachings. I was never interested in coding because I thought it was really boring and difficult to understand but becuase of Matt's course, I REALLY enjoyed it and actually had to set reminders to work on my other work projects as I found myself really engrossed in the creation process. In just 10 days I went from knowing nothing about coding to creating a landing page! I look forward to the next course, SheCodes Plus and building off what I know now to make my work even better! I highly, highly recommend!

SheCodes has been a great experience! I signed up for the Pro course, so I have a ways to go for my learning experience, but I'm excited. It feels good taking up coding again as an adult learner. The basics course was set to a good pace, and Matt explained things in a way I could understand.
This was an amazing opportunity to learn a new skill. At first I thought coding would be almost impossible but after watching the videos, doing challenges, and the homeworks; I realized it is not as impossible as I thought it would be. The video explanations and the Slack channel made it so easy to learn (faster than I thought I was capable of).

Each lesson was easy to follow and understand. I loved the hands on exercises that built upon each other. By the end of each week, I actually could figure out the homework because of how the class taught each element. I already want to sign up for the more advanced class to expand my new coding knowledge! Thank you for this workshop. :)

I chose SheCodes because I wanted something that was flexible enough to allow me to learn around my work schedule, but also structured enough to keep me on track. I love that SheCodes started at the extreme basics, and taught just enough in each lesson to be easy to follow while still providing a thorough knowledge base in coding. I was extremely busy with the holidays during the past three weeks and was still able to complete the workshop and feel like I know what I am doing. I'm looking forward to the next level!

I would recommend SheCodes to anyone! SheCodes Basics was my first taste of coding, and I believe I've learned the most from this course. One of my biggest fears with SheCodes was the self learning format! However, I did take a 12 week live course, and believe that SheCodes and the information learned within my 3 week SheCodes class was more valuable than the other program! From the content, to the help...SheCodes is the way to go for anyone entering tech. Don't let self-paced scare you! Try it!

Great course. I really enjoyed it. All of the information can be a bit overwhelming at times but you can set your own pace with the videos and re-watch them as needed, so that is very helpful. React and responsive are up next for me. Can't wait.
