All my life I've been working at various departments and I never got to pursue my one true passion this year I decided enough is enough come hell or high water I am going to start doing things that I'm passionate about and not just for the money. I am grateful for the experience but its time ..
At first I had trouble with HTML and being able to remember the codes and how to place them correctly in CSS, but with the help of Matt I was able to understand how to place my code correctly. Not forgetting the slack app he recommended for us to use, it came in very handy when I had challenges especially with my final project.

I've tried learning how to code in past however, I couldn't complete as I felt it was too long and complicated. But SheCodes on the other hand was totally opposite. Clearly how I've reached this far. The course is not complicated and is structured in such a way that you are able to learn something new in every lesson. My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding Delac Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding π.

I started with SheCodes highly skeptical because coding bootcamps are tough and I am happy to say SheCodes is one of the best programs I have been with. The team on Slack is always efficient when we ask questions and Matt explains languages with so much easy. I had taken a break from my university degree because I thought, maybe coding is not for me and SheCodes made me fall back in love with coding. Thank you, SheCodes.
SheCodes Basic was the best way for me to begin my journey into tech. The lessons were easy to follow and the challenges created a space for us to test out our new skills. Though this course only covered the basics (hahaha) I feel confident in the skills that I have learned. HTML, CSS and Javascript was the perfect place to start; watching elements, styles and functions come together to build pages was so exciting. From the outside, getting into tech can seem impossible, but the Basics course takes away all intimidation and makes "baby steps" fun, creative and motivating!
