I recently attended the SheCodes Basics workshop and I must say, it was a truly enlightening experience. As someone who had zero coding experience before, I was a bit apprehensive about whether I would be able to understand the concepts being taught. However, the workshop was organized in such a way that even a complete beginner like myself could follow along. Try not to be deterred by the intimidating sound of the word "coding"! For a very long time, I believed that I wasn't "smart" enough to code, but after overcoming that barrier with SheCodes, I discovered that I actually love it! Coding truly challenges that portion of my brain, which I adore puzzles. Start out slowly, maintain your curiosity, and keep practicing to become more at ease. There is no reason why you cannot learn this, as millions of individuals have done before you.

I enjoyed the SheCodes basics class, as everything was explained in a simple manner. Theres help when you need it on Slack and you find other ladies who might have the same problem as you and you get to help each other. Everyday is a testimony, every solved code for me calls for celebration. I remember attending the first free session with Matt and I wanted to cry. I understood nothing. I was filled with fear. However, with a strong and dedicated mindset, I proceeded to apply. Today I am happy with the amount of knowledge I have gotten from the BASIC course. That mountain I saw? It was not really a mountain. It was a heap of sand that looked too high from afar. I cannot wait to move forward and grow more within this tech journey. As I said in this project, I say again: It will end in #WomenInTech.

It all started about 3 weeks ago but if feels like I've been doing this for years, thanks to the instructor for being clear during the lessons.
I've always been afraid of coding. Thanks to Tiktok I discovered SheCodes and took the leap of faith. Matt Delac, the instructor, is excellent at teaching the concepts of coding. He is especially patient and helpful. I wholeheartedly suggest this workshop to anyone interested in learning basic coding from start to finish. This experience not only taught me the proper techniques and foundation of HTML coding as promised, but it also taught me how to learn independently, how to stick with a problem and find ways to solve it, and, perhaps most importantly, how to continue to develop my software development skills outside of the electronic classroom.
