What an amazing course, it was great to get the general idea of coding. I was not sure what to expect but if you are wondering if should - YOU SHOULD! I did not think we would get so much information and the lessons are really well developed and structured, you can spend as much or as little time as needed. Once started you will be hooked.
I honestly can't believe I've signed up, started and completed it SheCodes Basics already?! Time flew by so quickly & I wish there was more hahah! The format of the course & each lesson & class have been tremendously helpful & beneficial, allowing me to follow along with Matt & replicate what he's doing. Any time I face an error I can rewind to double check my work. Athena the AI has also been tremendously helpful resource! The team on Slack were AMAZING! And the open channels & communication really helped. I would search there as a first step and found that there were reoccurring mistake themes we all faced collectively; made me feel like I'm not alone ha-ha! I'm definitely excited to learn more

SheCodes really helps me in understanding coding through step by step instructions. The workshops provided can be easily understand for someone who never learn about coding. My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️”

Basics Add-On was a good exercise and extension after having completed the Basics workshop. I love that I can make the webpage more visually dynamic. The course took me a day to complete. Hands down, the sequence of the workshops was amazing. Once you have mastered or drilled in the basic steps, it is really easy to move forward from there. However, I did encounter two issues that I wasn't able to solve alone, and asking for help on Slack wasn't fruitful. Luckily, I have resources at home. With that said, having a team on Slack does provide me with an emotional safety net.
This was a tough ride! However with all the systematic lessons by Matt and the support from other SheCoders in Slack, it made it so much easier for me. I truly enjoyed all the classes! So so happy to finish my SheCodes Plus and can't wait to learn more. Thank you SheCodes and team! Truly amazing learning journey!

SheCodes Plus was super challenging for me, but so rewarding. Juggling my final semester of university and the workshop was overwhelming but i am so glad i finished it! I have learned so much from this workshop and working on the final project was super fun, even when i got stuck and found it difficult, i was able to work on my debugging skills and pay extra attention to details. All in all, amazing workshop. On to the next one!

As someone with no IT background, I thought to myself "what have I gotten myself into this time around?", the moment I saw all the codes that I couldn't read or understand, I really thought I wouldn't even finish the Intro course as I didn't even have the confident to continue with the first lesson, but to my surprise I fell in love with coding and wanting to code more and it was all because of my wonderful instructor Matt. He made coding seem very easy and enjoyable, which made me want to learn more about coding. I'm glad I decided to join SheCodes, it's amazing how quickly one can acquire new skills so fast only because of this wonderful workshop and great teacher, who made it easy and enjoyable to learn.
SheCodes program is absolutely wonderful and I wish everyone who is learning code could have the same experience. Every topic is broken down really well for you to understand the elements in-depth. There is 24 hour assistance and can work at you own pace due to the flexibility of the dates which is amazing.

I'm so excited to have finished the SheCodes Plus workshop! I can't believe how much I've learned. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it, even when things got tough. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm now confident that I can create my own websites and web applications. JavaScript was definitely the most challenging for me, but I was able to overcome it with the help of the SheCodes resources, especially Athena AI. My final project was a weather application that fetches live data from a weather API. It was a challenging project, but it was also so much fun! I learned so much about weather data and how to display it in a user-friendly way. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and to build a community of supportive women.

Coding is great! It seemed like a great idea until you see the actual code behind all these amazing web pages and applications. I honestly didn't think I'd pull through with it, but Matt is a great mentor who makes it seem like a walk in the park. I still can't believe the simplicity and fun behind the SheCodes Basics workshop. It probably gets more complex with advancement, but with my amazing mentor, come hell or difficult code, I'll reach the end goal of becoming a fully trained and certified front-end developer. 🙂
The responsive design workshop at SheCodes is a fantastic next step. It's all about crafting your personal online portfolio with creativity and new coding skills. You'll learn cool things like advanced Bootstrap, Flexbox, and Media Queries to make your portfolio shine. Plus, the support while building is amazing.
It was an amazing workshop! I enjoyed it so much! The most challenging was the part of creating a portfolio design, but I was surprised how it appears during process of coding. Now I proud that I have a super nice Portfolio that I can show to anybody.
At first, I was really hesitant to apply thinking that I won't be able to complete but after starting the workshop, the journey was so easy, the content was easy to follow. Enrolling in coding courses was an incredibly transformative experience for me. As someone with no prior programming knowledge, I was initially apprehensive, but SheCodes courses provided an exellent foundation.
