I started off as a complete beginner not knowing a thing. I decided to take a chance one day and joined a free class, safe to say I was sold. I applied through the SheCodes Foundation and got accepted. I began my coding journey with SheCodes basics and was amazed by all of the things I was able to do with a few lines of code. Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything so well. I enjoyed all the challenges as it made you think about every possible solution and although the homework made me want to cry when I finally got it right, I was super proud of myself. Overall, I would give this course a well-deserved 10 out of 10.
I absolutely loved building my AI recipe generator! I love how it turned out! Matt as always, is amazing at explaining things in ways that really make sense!
This has been an amazing educational opportunity, all thanks to She Codes foundation. I have learnt so much and learning process has been extremely for me as someone with no coding background.

I had an amazing time at the SheCodes Basic Workshop! The instructors were very well-informed and broke down intricate coding concepts in a way that was easy to understand. The hands-on approach of the workshops kept me involved and inspired throughout the entire course. I wholeheartedly recommend SheCodes to anyone keen on learning how to code in a nurturing and welcoming setting.
As amazing as the previous course. It offers a perfect balance between guidance and freedom. Matt explains everything step by step so you can't get lost, your homework is checked so you know you're on the right track, but you're also encouraged to incorporate your ideas into the coding and free to work at your own pace. The lessons motivated me to find out more about each topic and the project left me hungry to learn further.

Taking part in the SheCodes basics lessons has been truly amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it, including the challenges. The lessons were very informative which made it easy to understand and implement. I enjoyed Matt's style of teaching, it was very easy to grasp. At first I was skeptical about learing front-end languages because I have never done them before but the SheCodes Basics course has made me confident and I believe that going forward I will perform extremly well. Being part of this foundation is a major boost when it comes to my coding confidence and experience.

So far so good, i'm on my fourth week of learning to code with SheCodes and it's so amazing. I have learned some Javascript concepts that i had some difficulty with earlier on. It's great how this is flexible and you can Learn at your own convenience.

I can't believe what I'm able to build after only 2 weeks! This is an amazing intro into coding for anyone who has never done it before, no matter the age (I just turned 50). With the step by step videos and the encouragement to discover assistance from fellow students or the web, this course will give you a great foundation to continue learning or finding an entry level job.

What a journey it has been! And I am saying this with so much excitement for wanting to know more that there is to know about coding. The road was not an easy one to travel, but trust me when I say, it is definitely worth every sleepless night, the high and low emotional turmoil, the screams that you make when that code finally works, it is amazing. I am glad I decided to learn how to code and I am definitely not stopping here.
This was an amazing introductory course into the world of trading. The videos and website made everything that much easier as all I had to do was follow along and listen intently. The instructor explained things in a clear and concise manner that made the learning that much more fun!

"I actually have no background in coding. I studied Tourism, but I've always been interested in learning about coding and IT. During the pandemic, it was my biggest struggle, and I had thoughts of changing my career. Then I found SheCodes! SheCodes has been my lifesaver. The classes are pretty amazing! There are a lot of exercises, and they're really beginner-friendly. The way Matt teaches with videos is really easy to understand. I definitely would love to continue with the next workshops.
SheCodes Plus Add-on was great! I loved learning about the libraries and seeing how powerful javascript can be. I'm really proud of the application I've built and I honestly didn't think I'd create such amazing things on my own. I think it's only up from here 😊

the journey of a thousand miles has begun, surely at some point, I did hit a dead-end but I persevered through those trials and errors. These were the longest 8 weeks of my entire 26 years ,but i wouldn't trade them for anything because they have equiped me with such incredible skills and knowledge! I went from only being able to create a static page using HTML,CSS and basic JavaScript to creating my own weather application, which for me is beyond greatness because when i first started i didn't even know what HTML Elements were😂🤦♀️. I am going to keep working on mastering these 3 languages and add a forecast to my pride-themed weather application. I am grateful to Matt for making my coding journey so much fun and easy, he really knows how to explain things in a way that even if its hard you finally get to the point where you're like,"oh yeah, i see it now" and that is the best feeling. Thank you, Matt! I am also grateful to my Slack Community for always being there to answer my questions and rescuing me whenever i got stuck. I look forward to learning more and finding my space as a front-end developer at the end of this amazing journey offered to me by SheCodes Foundation.

I got into this with hopes to upskill and not limit myself when it comes to being a total beginner in the world of software developers. This was an amazing journey to be part of as a Women. lessons are are fun and challenging and with coding there is no one right answer that is the best part! One thing you don't stop practicing.
I really enjoyed digging into creating grids and heroes in CSS. The final project is gorgeous and will be an amazing addition to my portfolio too!
