I have searched multiple platforms and different boot camps and I chose Shecodes. It was the best decision I made. If you have even the slightest interest in coding, do the SheCodes Workshop! At first I was a bit skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the course as I've attempted to code in the past but it never stuck. Believe me, it's worth it! The videos are clear, concise and Matt makes everything as easy to follow as possible. The challenges and homework set out are one of the things that stick out for me from the programme compared to other learning platforms; They encourage you to practise what you've learnt and research things on your own. Another amazing perk is that Matt teaches you not only how to code, but also provides tips along the way of which resources are best to use alongside. It's been an amazing experience and I look forward to doing the SheCodes Plus workshop next!

I am an accountant and graduate student by day and a newbie coder by night. My journey started a few weeks ago when a colleague challenged me to learn how to code. Up until that day I had always perceived the goal as too difficult and unobtainable for me, but that all changed when I stumbled upon a SheCodes advertisement on Instagram. Thank goodness I did because before that I had researched online and felt overwhelmed by the thousands of programs that can range anywhere from $99 to over $15,000. I took the free 60-minute webinar first and immediately was pulled in by Matt Delac's teaching style, the format of the course and how easy it was to follow along. The first week I felt just a tad bit intimidated, but each lesson really takes you step by step and I can tell that I have begun to absorb the information. It's exciting to wake up in the morning and feel eager to learn something new. This class is perfect for anyone with little to no background of coding like myself and also provides an amazing opportunity to network with like-minded women who are also looking for a challenge. I give SheCodes, 10 out of 10 and I cannot wait to start the next workshop, SheCodes Plus React. I went as far as starting a GoFundMe to get the cash to be able to take the next course. I've never felt more motivated!

My SheCodes experiences was amazing! The workshop was super easy and user friendly. Coding can be intimidating, but Matt explains each lesson clearly and the challenges are easy to do. If you're stuck with a challenge, someone from the SheCodes team is always willing to help. Before SheCodes my experience with coding was only through Myspace and Tumblr. This workshop is a great foundation if you're curious about coding and would like to learn coding. Thank you Matt for creating this workshop for women. The online classes were very informative coupled with help from Slack, I was able to learn a lot thru mistakes and advice. The SheCodes website works well and assistance is amazing (they go all out to help you even on weekends!!). I went on to create mini-apps just as a self-learning journey. I really enjoyed this workshop and I realised I would like to learn more to make this my future career. In highschool, coding is presented as a career for only men and very boring, but actually it is challenging and entertaining. I would join more courses just to be my best on this path. I am very grateful to SheCodes for making this amazing platform.
After becoming unemployed due to COVID-19 I wanted to take my new found free time and learn a new skill that would help me land a new job opportunity. SheCodes was an amazing experience! I went into this course with no knowledge about coding and an open mind. What I gained in just the first workshop was so much more than I expected. I discovered SheCodes by chance. A friend knew I was interested in learning how to code and she told me than she saw an advertisement for SheCodes. So I decided to give it a try and I must say that it was the best decision I could do. Before I thought that coding would be extremely challenging for me but after this course, I found out not only that I really like coding but also that everyone can do it, especially with Matt's courses. I really enjoyed the workshop. I learned so much in these few weeks and discovered that coding is really fun indeed. It felt amazing to work on the final project and apply all that new knowledge. During these weeks, I found out that this is a path that I would love to take: becoming a professional coder.

SheCodes is a really amazing program! Matt explains everything very clearly so that everything is easy to understand. The lessons are laid out at good pace which makes learning very comfortable. Each lesson is well summarized and on point. I did not really feel like 'Coding is out of this world', which often I've felt when I tried to learn from some Youtube videos about coding. Besides Matt's amazing method, SheCodes has a great mentor like João and Lexi who are always there to help. Seeing and knowing other girls working on the same challenges at the same time also helped and motivated me a lot! Great course.
It was a nice starter for coding. For someone -like me- who does not have experience with the topic, the workshop's methodology was efficient and very comfortable, I have to say that the support offered by the staff is amazing. I certainly would do the Plus Workshop because even if the information was clear the way to become a good coder is long and it needs tons of practice. Letting myself think under unknown logics was fun, I really enjoyed the practical and guided format.

The beginner workshop gives you a great idea of how to start working with coding really fells like and Matt is amazing at each one of the classes. The videos go straight to the point and he encourages us to learn and try by ourselves, giving tips and clues of how somethings can work and also showing us his way of thinking after the activity is done. The SheCodes team is spectacular on answering our questions on time and the community just makes us more excited about the final project.

I really loved the workshop! Matt is a great teacher and is so passionate about what he does! Although my background is in finance, I absolutely loved learning about coding. Coding to me sounded very complex at the beginning. But after completing the three week workshop, i can say that i understand coding much better now and that I have successfully coded my first webpage using HTML, CSS and Javascript! I took the 3 week taster workshop just to see if I'd like it. I'm a nature nut and most of my friends at University were computer scientists. Can't believe I waited 8 years to start coding! It was an amazing, challenging and new way to spend free time during quarantine. I work in the forestry sector where not many people like to engage with tech so I'm hoping to bring something new to it. I'm definitely going to enroll in the next level! Thanks SheCodes!
SheCodes is Amazing...Like really REALLY AMAZING. Its a sensational learning tool. After only two weeks, I was able to make this project with no help while working 84hr weeks during the CoVid19 pandemic. I can't stress enough that I was at level 0, in terms of technical knowledge, when I started this workshop. My confidence in my ability to learn computer languages has to have gone up by 100%.

SheCodes Plus was a great learning experience! In just a few weeks we're able to deepen our HTML/CSS/JS knowledge, use GIT and GitHub, (finally) understand what an API really does, and put the development workflow we learnt in practice by building a weather app from scratch. I totally loved the experience throughout these past 3 weeks. It's been such an amazing journey where I've learned the basics, but fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have always wanted to learn about front-end web development and this workshop helped me so much. Not only it got me started on the material, but it also made me fall in love with it even more!. Matt is such an amazing instructor that has easy-to-follow guidelines. His lessons are very clear and he provides good examples to follow. The challenges after each lesson reinforce the concepts throughout the course. Plus you get to connect with other amazing people, while helping each other out. I have been overseeing as a client, website projects for almost 20 years working with the best creative and development agencies in Portugal. More recently, I jumped the fence and had a brief experience as a Senior Project Manager in one such agency. I was always curious about website development and finally decided to learn the basics. It was an amazing experience, SheCodes is extremely well organized, and there is a perfect balance between classes and homework. Ultimately not only I have a much greater understanding of frontend development, but also its complexity. Although I do not plan to become a developer myself, I am sure that what I have learned will play an important role in managing future projects. Additionally, it has given me a heightened respect for developers' work.
I've had an amazing experience with SheCodes. I knew absolutely nothing about coding before joining SheCodes, and after just 3 weeks, I've been able to design my very own landing page using HTML, CSS as well as JAVA Script. It has been really fun, and the mentors are super helpful.
