It's an amazing opportunity to find out how to work with code languages, to discover new opportunities and to acquire new skills. I had so much fun learning about FrontEnd at this Workshop, that I definitely recommend this to every women willing to dive into this world of technology for life. I'm an architect and urban planner, far away from computer machines or coding, but I think it's vital for everyone to learn at least the basics of it if we want to go with the flow and not to sink.
Being a part of the SheCodes weekend workshop was a way to test myself on whether or not i was passionate enough about programming to actually learn to code. I'm very glad i took that bold step because it has cemented my decision to take on the challenge to learn programming languages and given me a new purpose, which is to build a career in tech. It's validated for me that I can do it, and have fun doing it too! I am genuinely excited about learning even more and for the first time in a long time, i'm looking forward to classes. It was an amazing experience for me! The challenge structure was really "step by step" and easy to understand. When I struggled, I always asked on Slack and the response was very fast. SheCodes workshop is a fast-paced crash course program that gives you a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and is the perfect place to understand whether coding is for you without committing too much time or money. SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) . Thank you all! I am looking forward to learning more about coding in the next program I got enrolled into - SheCodes Plus - and to build an app at the end of the program.

Working full time is not easy to commit to something so interesting, but also so complicate as coding. This course helped me to acquire the basics and to use them in a practical way. The most important thing of this course is the social aspect that allows you to meet many amazing people that are constantly facing the same issues as you and to get loot of support. I am really interested to continue this path and hopefully I will succeed!

Honestly, this workshop is amazing! It helps women to see new opportunities in their career, I’ve never seen so many happy and motivated students, every part of the workshop was fun and interesting. For almost 10 years I worked as a Public Relation manager in Russia and I didn’t have any experience in coding. I’ve visited a lot of courses and classes, but this workshop changed my professional life completely, after 4 weeks of such an intensive program I feel more confident in communication with my IT colleagues. I have to confess I was a bit skeptical about learning coding and any programming language in only two days, but halfway through i got convinced that we could do amazing stuff on the SheCodes weekend. I tried to learn by myself before, there are a lot of theories about how and where we should start from, but none of them worked as efficient and quickly and Matt's way did. To combine the structural languages with a programming one, having people in the room to help you out is definitively the best way to do it if you don't have a clue of what you are doing. This said, obviously i am no master nor any of the girls who started with SheCodes workshop are (yet!), but now we have the basis to continue the work and to do it "our thing" if we decide so.

She Codes has been another step for me to release my creativity. Yes, contrary to popular belief, coding takes a creative mind ! This weekend was awesome, Matt is a great teacher, with such a good mission of instructing women, and was able to transmit important basic knowledge for us to be able to build something from scratch (amazing!!). For sure, She Codes was the most intuitive and straightforward code-themed lessons I've ever had. Despite I've had web design and some other code learning environments back in school, I've never had such a fast and fun way of learning how to code. I can say, truly, that becoming someone between a front-end developer and a screen designer, crossed my mind during these two days at UPTEC. And I must say that creating something specifically for women, especially about something we have pushed away since always, it's an amazing initiative! Keep up the good work!
