React needs your full attention during these weeks as it is a steep learning curve all the way. It requires a lot of dedication to reading additional material online and being curious in how the different aspects of React work. Once you get familiar with React it is extremely fun and versatile. It shows you a whole new way of working with JavaScript and takes what you have learned previously to a new level.

I had a blast learning how powerful JavaScript and CSS are. Even though JavaScript is a bit tricky but Matt simplified it for me. To create the change theme feature was epic since I've used it before in different apps and platforms. Now learning how to create this feature myself, is truly amazing! This was a fun workshop add-on to solidify an understanding of React and APIs. The description and instructor are very serious when they mention that this is some advanced stuff-beyond the basics of HTML, CSS, and JS. And it will feel so true! But again, one of those workshops that is totally worth it in the end, just need to stick with it!

Learning Python has been really challenging but was alot of fun. It took alot of coffee and late nights but I got through it in the end. I can really see the potential of Python but it will take more training, writing code and testing before I really get the hang of it.

For this workshop I came really confident with my html, css and JavaScript, all thanks to our instructor Matt. I was confident enough to do everything by myself and show off my creativity. I might have gone a little overboard with the styling but I had so much fun building with AI API. I will always be grateful of this great opportunity and I really can't thank SheCodes enough. I am so glad I took 'SheCodes Plus' prior to learning Python. I was familiar with so many of the core functions, thanks to stumbling through JavaScript the previous lesson. Matt often made the mistake of saying JS 'arrays' when referring to PY 'lists'. This was an unintentional blessing because it was hammering in previously learned concepts without trying! Python has a much easier flow than JS, so I enjoyed the ease in that. However, it is its own language, so it requires you to focus. I strongly recommend using the Pomodoro Technique to get through this workshop. Happy coding :)

This was a fun little add-on to build on existing concepts learn in the previous React workshop. Definitely push yourself and use the suggested SheCodes API, as it will help you put into practice what you've already learnt, without having a video to follow.

Creating this dictionary app was a great learning journey for me. I used two SheCodes APIs, one for fetching word definitions and another for retrieving related images to build a rich and interactive experience. When a user searches for a word, the app displays its definition, part of speech, example usage, synonyms, and relevant images that visually represent the word. Working with multiple APIs taught me how to manage asynchronous data, handle errors gracefully, and keep the UI responsive. This project helped me grow my skills in React and API integration, and it was incredibly satisfying to see everything come together into a functional, polished product.

While Python didn’t have quite the same instant fun factor for me as front-end coding, I’m glad I stuck with it. A lot of the concepts felt quite instinctive, and I found myself able to guess my way through more than I expected, which was encouraging. I appreciated the way Matt broke things down, the challenges kept things engaging, and I enjoyed the sense of progress you get from building something step by step in the project. Overall, a really useful and well-structured course that gave me a good start in Python

SheCodes Basics Add-on was a great short course that helped reinforce the fundamentals you'll need for the rest of the program. It was great to experiment with an AI API and external plugins for JavaScript. This module helped me to get an clearer idea of how you can integrate other developers work to add more complex functionality.
I definitely recommend doing the Responsive workshops before this one, as bootstrap is used. It was a fun workshop with a lot of challengers and new ways to structure code.
