I've been shopping around for the perfect coding bootcamp and I couldn't decide because I wasn't set on the prices or the courses, always something that made me hesitate. This course was a bit challenging, but I grew a lot from it! The team at SheCodes are also nice, responsive, and helpful. Hi! I am Zeynep Cam and will be a first-year CS student this year. First of all, I want to thank Matt Delac and tutors on Slack as well as students who actively use Slack to help or ask questions. When I first came across SheCodes, I didn't know I was gonna have a lot of fun. Before SheCodes, I was trying to learn coding by watching 4 hours, 10 hours Youtube videos. It was a terrible experience for me and I thought that I will never be able to enjoy coding and even learn it properly. I thought that my decision to go CS program was totally wrong and I was already thinking to change my program as soon as the universities begin this fall. Then I joined a Free Coding Class and eventually joined the beginner workshop. Now, I am willing to study my CS program. It is gonna take pages if I mention how much I loved SheCodes. SheCodes is the best! And, Matt Delac is an awesome teacher! Thanks again for everything <3
For me, SheCodes was the beginning of something wonderful. I’ve never learned so much new stuff in such a short time, and I also never had so much fun learning how to create, break and fix things. I’m a huge fan of Matt’s casual, creative and cool teaching style. I love that he’s able to break down even the most complex topics. His passion and excitement for coding is highly contagious. In this course, Matt provides the most important knowledge and tricks for getting a website to do what you want it to. Don’t get me wrong: The course was no piece of cake. On the contrary, it was a big challenge, but it also gave me a great feeling of achievement, and I really loved the final project. Now I feel inspired; almost unstoppable. Very easy to understand, and in the correct bite sized amounts. I loved how there were quick checks to make sure I understood the lesson material, and the final project was fun!
There's always been something about looking at code that made me want to learn and understand it. Maybe it's from watching the Matrix movies, who knows. React language seems to be similar to what we have learned on SheCodes Plus but in fact, there are so much more details we have to get more attentive and since the structure of the language is with separate elements, building the connection among them becomes quite challenging but meanwhile with much fun, if you are being led by a good team, just like SheCodes 🤗 Thanks for all of your assistance and patience (especially João 🙇🏻♀️). Highly recommend and this is a really enjoyable journey to open the door of coding world!
The SheCodes Workshop gives you a basic understanding about what coding is and how it works. The challenges are fun and as you progress, they get more difficult. The final project is a great opportunity to show how much you've learned in this 3-week workshop and test yourself. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a glimpse of what coding is and how it works. Plus, you have an amazing community to help you with any questions or problems you may have!
I really enjoyed studying how to code with the videos of step by step explanations by Matt. I could not imagine how interesting and fun it will be to study how to code. I chose this course to learn more about coding and the results have left me very happy. I am proud of myself that I can now apply what I've learnt to better improve my skillset. The courses were not long and tedious but rather fun and challenging. I especially loved the challenges after each lesson as it helped me to understand the lesson more. I came out of this course falling in love with coding and wanting to learn more about this world.
Really easy to follow and I stayed motivated to finish the course. My final project is a website created for my own side hustle which was quite fun! I love how the course allowed me to bring in my own personal projects.

This introduction to coding was so fun! I learned a lot in a short space of time and genuinely enjoyed every lesson and project. Having someone checking on your code as you go along via the homework assignments was helpful as it ensures you know you're on the right track 👍 The course is fantastic value for the content that you receive and is beginner friendly as well as offering some challenges if you want to push yourself. Overall a great experience!
I can't believe how easy it was to learn! I played around with HTML back in middle school and early high school so the HTML part of the course was like a nice refresher. CSS was super fun since you get to start the designing part of the coding. Then came JavaScript. It was a challenge but still super fun! I can't wait to move on to the next course to expand me knowledge! If you are considering joining, do it! You will not regret it!

I've wanted to learn coding for a while but, when working a full-time job, it can be tricky to find a course that offers a flexible timetable, and that's also affordable. I've really appreciated that it's possible to choose the 3-weeks workshop before eventually continuing with the more advanced courses. It's a great introduction, and allows you to see if you're happy with what you learn. I had a lot of fun working on my first project, and cannot wait to enroll on the longer workshop.
Since Covid-19 hit, I was left unemployed, laid off and rethinking my career path. My best friend introduced me to SheCodes and I honestly fell in love with coding! It's very challenging, and a lot of fun. It allows me to be creative which is important to me and I'm looking forward for whats next 😊
I loved learning how to code. Seriously a fun and interesting language to learn. It was challenging and rewarding when I got a code the way I wanted it. I found the workshop to be very informative and fun! While it is ultimately self led, I found that it was broken down in a way that was easy to follow and understand. I never felt overwhelmed during the workshop. The material teaches you and also tests your knowledge through assignments that challenge you to think.
This course was a great mix of challenging and achievable – for beginners! I really enjoyed learning the basics of HTML and CSS in tandem, as I've learned a little of each separately before. Learning it all together helped me understand the purpose of each piece! I really enjoyed the videos (friendly and straightforward explanations), and I appreciated the ability to discuss or ask questions. If you already know the fundamentals of HTML, you'll want to try something more advanced, but I'd recommend this to anyone interested in the basics.

Hi everyone, this is my first time that I touched a code and I am super glad, that I chose this online course. Matt is explaining it very good and interesting and also challenge you all the time. It was super fun and recommend it highly.
My SheCodes adventure ended today as I graduated from SheCodes React. I had a lot of fun during the past few months, and I learned a lot. I'm grateful to Matt and all SheCodes staff for their support. I will definitely keep on working on my coding skills since they have shown me I can do that! I really loved learning and working with SheCodes from the first day! After completing the SheCodes Workshop I continued learning with SheCodes Plus and I have had sooo much fun! Before starting SheCodes I had never done anything related to coding and was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep up. SheCodes provides the perfect structure to learn coding and gives you the confidence to try out what you've learned. I really enjoyed working on the project and tapping my creativity. This workshop is a fun way to learn how to code or refresh your knowledge. I definitely recommend it to beginning programmers or programmers who want to refresh or rehearse their knowledge. SheCodes plus is a very good basis for entering the "programming world". For me these were a very fun 7 weeks. You work out the project on your own pace and as detailed as you want (of course everything working). What brings fun challenges. This workshop was super fun :) The lessons are short and have all the information needed to ensure the basic knowledge. Matt has definitely the magic to explain complex subjects in a way that everybody can understand. And the tips given during the workshop are super usefull for future challenges. I used to be scared of the frontend development world, but after this I will for sure continue to upgrade my skills.

I have been considering a move into coding for a few years now, and the current situation has enabled me to look into this further. There were times when I was tearing my hair out but in the end it was all worth it! I feel so accomplished and so proud to have built my very own functioning weather app! After having been so drawn into the introductory workshop, I simply couldn't resist and decided to go for the Plus workshop! You are constantly challenged with homework tasks alongside the mini challenges which make the entire experience very interactive with lots of room for self-learning and improvement. The video lessons provided are very captivating, easy to follow, with just the right length and depth of information leaving you eager for the next lesson! Thanks to this workshop, I am now more confident than I have ever been in my coding skills and I had fun! I'm amazed that in just two months, I've managed to make my very own functioning weather app! I've studied Computer Science before as part of the curriculum but I found that the way we were taught was not conducive to learning. I've also tried learning how to code on numerous different sites but I found that the SheCodes setup was the most beneficial. SheCodes provided bitesize lessons that were fun and having a friendly community to ask for advice was really reassuring! I can't wait to see where these newfound skills will take me...next up: SheCodes React!

Coding can seem like a very daunting thing to learn; however, it doesn't have to be. SheCodes makes learning how to code fun, exciting, and rewarding. The Slack chat is super helpful- and the challenges themselves are fun. I often find myself delving deeper into topics discussed in the lessons and asking myself questions such as what would make this code better, more efficient, etc. I can't wait for the next courses!
This was my first experience using coding on visual studio. I had so much fun. The fact that the lessons were separated into smaller sections with recorded videos were helpful. Resources are also provided throughout the program to learn from. Thank you Matt for an excellent program. 😊

I spent way too much of my life believing I shouldn't/couldn't code because "I'm not like a coder." FALSE. I'm not like what I think a coder should be in my head, but this course proved to me that literally anyone, ANYONE can and should learn to code if they want to. I absolutely love the bite-sized lessons that build on each other like Lego. The concepts are easily digestible and I looked forward to being done work so I could code every single day. I don't think I've had so much fun learning a new skill in a long time. I love the Slack community and Matt's teaching style. I highly recommend at least giving the introductory 3-week module a try if you're even the least bit curious. I can't wait to continue on to the next two modules! I got my co-worker to do it with me and she loved it as well :)

I have really enjoyed learning how to code with SheCodes. You guys are amazing! I feel very confident in my coding now. I am a wife and mother of 6 children and with everything going on in the world right now I knew I needed to start a career that I love with some type of job security. I have been in medical billing and coding for over 10 years and it was time for me to do something I would really enjoy, something that didn't feel like work because I enjoyed it so much! I have worked out of many different billing systems and my goal is to one day build a user friendly billing system that company's can use. I loved how engaging and easy to follow this course was. I've tried a couple of other introductory courses but none of them connected the material and built on concepts as naturally as SheCodes did. I had so much fun learning, and I can't wait to keep going.

Every lesson builds on the last, making the learning process much easier than I expected. I discovered that I really enjoy coding - I'm constantly troubleshooting and problem solving, but it's more fun than stressful, like I'm simultaneously creating and putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle. I'm excited to start incorporating coding into my graphic design work, and vice versa.
I would 100% recommend this workshop to anyone who is looking to learn the basics when it comes to coding. Each week, you listen to a few pre-recorded lessons which you use to complete challenges. Once you submit your own solution to the challenge, you are able to watch Matt's suggested solution. It's completely addicting! Every lesson builds on topics you learned previously and it's hard to not want to go in even deeper and explore new concepts on your own. Super fun and engaging.

After initially attending the free coding class I knew I could instill all of my trust in Matt as an instructor and confidently go through the program knowing I'm being taught the necessary knowledge to succeed.
