I learned a lot by doing the Plus Course. I started doing a weekend workshop and decided to change my career path and do the Plus course. It was my best decision. Matt explains everything so well and easy to understand. I honestly recommend this course for everyone interested in coding. Thank you SheCodes for giving me the right tools to pursue my coding path, to make it also fun and for all the help provided. I'm excited to learn more.
This was a great introduction to a topic that is not as difficult as it seems. It was fun to learn HTML, CSS and JS. In attempting to switch careers, this was a great place to start and leading me to consider to taking further courses to continue my learning with SheCodes. If you don't want to pay thousands of dollars or can't afford it, this is a great place to start and it will be worth your while. You have the help you need from staff and other students. You are encouraged to learn things on your own by simply googling, making that acknowledgement valid of being able to be a continuous learner, but also asking for help when needed.
I have always wanted to learn to code in any way possible, but never knew how or where to start. I know problem of a century. Covid-19 solved this problem for me by giving me time to actually find a course that sounded interesting, and oh boy this past 3 weeks by SheCodes flew by like a lightning. Matt and his team are great and there is a chat support if you need it ο Thank you Lexi for kind words, questions like: How are you doing with project or homework? Coding was something completely new to me, coming from a non-tech background, but the SheCodes Workshop was an amazing way to introduce me to this world. Easy to understand and follow, right amount of workload per week, challenging and above all fun! I absolutely recommend it!
Matt was a wonderful instructor. I enjoyed the fact that sometimes he would leave certain things out for you to research on your own. To me, this seems like real life problem solving, as I have heard that coders often have to research information for their projects. I truly had fun completing the projects and it has made me feel more confident in my journey of coding!
This has been such a fun and rewarding process! I work primarily with video design and have encountered multiple projects when I had to do some light coding but was absolutely clueless about it, so it was great to get comfortable with the foundations of HTML, JavaScript and CSS. And as a bonus I got so inspired with my final project concept, that I decided to follow through with it and create a website page where I can sell my art!

My professional experience as a Product Owner gave me the opportunity to participate daily in the routines and challenges of the developers. However my wish was to understand them in a more assertive and close way. And speaking the language they speak is crucial to the success of any Product. I wanted to start coding for a while but couldn't find the right starting point. There is a lot of online material available, but it's so easy for a beginnerΒ to get lost in it! Since I was born, the world of tech wasn't exactly my thing, but over the years I realized that it could be a lot of fun and interesting. I come from a financial area and kind of tech friendly, but before the course I could never imagine that my knowledge doing macros in MS Excel (which looks a bit old fashioned in times of artificial intelligence) could be highly connected with JavaScript. The explanations are clear and deep enough to give you an idea of where you need to go in your own time. This course definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any coding background and by the end of the first day I was able to understand basic html and CSS, and at the end of the course I was feeling like a real geek :)! I had zero experience in programming before starting the SheCodes workshop. I wanted to challenge myself and learn a new skill. I also thought it would be beneficial for my job, as I work at a software vendor company as a Recruiter and I wanted to gather more knowledge about the job of a Developer. I enjoyed the course immensely! The structure and the provided guidance made it a fun experience to get the first insights into programming. I now have much better understanding of many concepts in programming and can do some basic operations in CSS, HTML and JS.

It's an amazing opportunity to find out how to work with code languages, to discover new opportunities and to acquire new skills. If you want to actually learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript basics - take this course with Matt. After taking a bunch of other courses in-person and online, this is the only one where I truly felt that I understood everything. My goal was to have functional knowledge of Javascript basics, and I definitely gained those skills. I'm very excited to take the next step in learning more so I can make my designs and illustrations come to life.

My 1st ever experience with coding was about 20 years ago or so! Do you remember Geocities, at Yahoo? I remember I created a very rudimentary website with HTML there. Since then, my academic and working career has had nothing to do with coding at all.
