This project was a real test. I cannot remember being this frustrated over something I couldn't get right on the get-go or on the first or second try, but I'm blown away that I built a fully functional weather app from the ground up.
I have really enjoyed this course. It was so well-structured, very easy to follow. I really had a fun time with the experience of making the weather app, it's so hands on and I feel like I learnt a lot! I cannot overstate the value of this course.

Iβve been following SheCodes for months, but I was initially skeptical of yet another online course. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Right from the start, you get a solid introduction that sets the tone, followed by a well-structured course with clear, comprehensive explanations and assignments that reinforce what youβve learned. The homework and final project are especially valuable. They help you apply the know-how in a different context, which really deepens your understanding. Itβs fun, engaging, and very focused on quickly enabling users to start building and experimenting. As a Product Owner who casually designs customer journeys, including automated email flows, I can already see how this will support my work.

Learning React has been a monumental feat for me. At first, I found it incredibly challenging β I had to slow down, revisit lessons, and even rebuild the weather app from scratch just to understand what was happening behind the scenes. Debugging felt overwhelming at times, especially when I didnβt understand the error messages popping up on the screen. Along the way, I learned not only how to write React code but also how to think like a developer β how to troubleshoot, stay patient, and celebrate small wins. The process taught me persistence and problem-solving. In the end, I accomplished something I honestly didnβt think I could do: I built a fully functioning app.

The SheCodes Plus Add-on was an excellent way to build on what I learned in SheCodes Plus. The World Clock project helped me apply JavaScript concepts to a real-world scenario and better understand how to work with time zones and live data. It was a fun and rewarding challenge that strengthened my coding confidence a lot.
Building this dictionary app was a fantastic deep dive into core React concepts. I went from understanding the theory to applying it in a real, functional project. The foundation was built on breaking the UI into reusable components and managing the flow of information between them using props. A huge part of this project was managing state with the useState hook. I used it for everything from tracking the user's search term to handling loading and error states. I got a lot of practice with rendering dynamic data by mapping over arrays from the API to display lists of definitions, synonyms, and photos. I also implemented more advanced features, like conditional rendering to show results only after a search and handling user events to create an interactive, clickable photo gallery.

It's not what I expected. Finishing this course teaches me nothing practical about building a real-world website, like connecting with a database, authentication, etc. The courses (including add-ons) repeat the same stuff without offering anything new. Maybe the vanilla HTML, CSS, and JS are valid, but I would need to get different providers to build anything functional in real life to start my own business. Note that the world has moved on to TailwindCSS and Next.js, and SheCodes has not updated the content. Very expensive for learning super basic vanilla HTML, CSS and JS and an absolute beginner in React.
I am glad I did this workshop add on because not only am I understanding AI more but also comprehending JS functions alot more from continuously using it and practicing!

I enjoyed the Python AI course. It was both fun and a great challenge! It covered a lot of ground, but the lessons were structured perfectly, so it never felt too complicated or difficult to follow along. After tackling the Python basics, this course felt very manageable, not scary. This is absolutely a must-take course if you want to be competitive in the world of AI!
The project with added Dark and Light theme was fun and using the JS was interesting and a bit challenging.
Completing this addition has been a wonderful experience and a valuable add-on to the beginner curriculum.
