That was my first coding experience and I like it a lot. I never thought that coding could be fun, but with SheCodes all the learning process was awesome. Tasks were challenging, but lessons are very clear and detailed. I definitely would recommend this course for beginners like me.
This was a fun project to build. Learn useful tips on calling API and authentication.
If the previous course was a bit of a learning struggle for me, She Codes Responsive was when I started to feel confident and having fun with CSS and Bootstrap. And can not underestimate how great it is to have deadlines and stay accountable, or else I could've just given up when I was stuck with my project. Luckily, all worries are behind and I've submitted my portfolio. And it's definitely a progress from what my first website looked like. Cheers!
I've always been interested in the tech field since I was in college but never really had the guts to try coding. I really like how Matt makes it easy for us newbies to understand no matter how complex the topic is, and how the SheCodes team/community is always there to help us out when we mess up. I never thought coding would be this fun!
I am truly amazed at how much coding I have learned in the last two weeks; it has been a rewarding challenge for both myself and the coding world. Some days were difficult, but I put my mind and heart into the course, and I have learned and built so much! I'm overjoyed, and I can't wait to learn more about coding and have fun🤩 ☁️
Easy to follow lessons and fun homework/project.
I have to say that SheCodes React was not the same as SheCodesPlus or SheCodesBasics. React is very complicated, it has very abstract concepts and it's difficult to grasp. There was a plan for the lesson and mid-video, it completely changes from what we already did to an architecture that makes your whole code malfunction. It would have been better to follow a structure right away and to keep a persistent and confident goal per-lesson. I would say Matt doesn't teach you how to fully comprehend React but to be a Programmer instead of a Developer. Basically, just do this and there you have a working app instead of explaining every single concept carefully so that you can create your own functioning app. A lot of: "This is complicated but you don't need to understand this so let's skip this" and once:"I don't really know what Im doing but thats how the coding journey is like". The architecture is not excellent and naming is not good. This is absolutely crucial to learn in the beginning of your coding journey. There's so many commands that really help to edit your code more effectively and I found out from another source that is not SheCodes. Also, re-rendering is incredibly complicated and is a persistent problem from React. But currently I don't know enough information about this matter to make a proper statement of what SheCodes could have done better. The structure of lesson + video really does help and its appreciated, because theres so much to learn that you can get lost without it. Also, you can access and re-watch everything you've learnt, which is super helpful. SheCodes team is very efficient and they really do help, also Matt! I do believe that SheCodes is really amazing. Honestly, I love the concept and if it's possible I would love to explain to the team exactly what could be done better. To conclude, I genuinely appreciate the SheCodes Foundation in general. If anyone pays the price to be in this course, they deserve to have a consistent-problem solving-course.

The SheCodes Basics workshop was such a great learning experience! It was easy to follow and fun to self-educate. I learned enough to understand the coding is interesting, fun and exciting activity.
Learning how to code has been something I've been putting off for years. And although I know a very minimal scope of some of these languages, it was a TON of fun to get back into the groove of learning the basics! Excited to learn more and grow my skill sets!

I've been having a lot of fun with the SheCodes Plus program, plus gaining confidence that I can create an app that works. I have learned so much during these 7-8 weeks and am excited to continue learning.
I strongly recommend the 'SheCodes Plus' course to anyone who wants to get down to business and start creating simple applications. On the one hand, the course is super fun, but on the other - it gives all nesessary skills and allows learners to rise up to the challenge.

The SheCodes Basics Workshop is an easy, fun and fast way to learn code. Specifically, how to create the HTML skeleton of a webpage ☠️ design and prettify sites with CSS 💄 and interact with webpage visitors using JavaScript 👋. I feel so fortunate that these workshops are explicitly available for women 💁♀️
This was a lot of fun and a huge step up from Basic. If you're just getting into frontend and need to learn JavaScript, this was an excellent experience. You start building your application from the very beginning, step by step, while learning something new each week! Because of Plus, I was able to ace a technical test and get a job offer (which I'm obviously taking).
The workshops were great - easy to follow, and gave plenty of opportunity to test out each of the elements and functions yourself. Great way to challenge yourself and learn something new!

SheCodes Plus was an enjoyful learning process. Everything is well explained and relevant. Building a weather app from scratch was a bit challenging but fun nonetheless! Plus course is a great introduction to JavaScript, and it defifnitely makes you eager to learn more.
It was a fun workshop and I got to create a fully functional web page as a result, which I am very happy about.
SheCodes has been a great starting point for me to learn the very basics. It was easy to understand and there were lots of great resources linked throughout that I will continue to use. The projects were simple for a beginner and also allowed for more creativity if you did a little extra research or jumped in and had a bit of fun!
Building this app has been a very insightful and fun experience! As a front end developer, I have been improving my current skills whilst working on some new ones. I am looking forward to the next step in my SheCodes journey. 👩💻

Great course with easy-to-follow lessons, very comfortable and flexible schedule. The last lessons made me excited to see my project progressed and "looked alive" and what I able to do after course. I'm art loving person who enjoys designing or formatting the page before presenting it. So it was fun learning new techniques of designing a web page through SheCodes Responsive workshop. I'm feeling very proud of my journey with SheCodes as it's giving me a new confidence of having additional skill set of coding on my list. I'm very thankful to @Matt and his team @SheCodes who where so supportive and always available to answer my questions. Happy to recommend all my contacts do this course if they are interested to learn coding.
Once again, I had lots of fun during this last Workshop, so that I am actually sad that it was the last one. I could not be prouder of everything that I have learned and accomplished during this last few months. It was a mix of work and fun to go through all the different projects that were assigned to us. Very nice workshop! I enjoyed learning about grids, transform, and other CSS properties! I feel like I'm getting more used to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and it was fun putting the project together using all of those! I love how everything is taught in an easy to understand way and you can always go back to the video to refresh your memory and understand it better. I also really like the challenges and how they give you good practice on doing something you just learned about so you get more knowledge and experience. I feel like I'm learning a lot!

I've loved this course! It's really well paced, easy to follow and allows you to get hands on with building sites straight away. The final project is a lot of fun and allows you to be super creative.

Having very little experience with coding before taking this course, I was a little apprehensive about taking it. There was no need to be apprehensive as Matt did a great job in the videos of explaining how everything works! And I had fun learning and making the final project.
After taking the previous workshops with Shecodes, this add-on workshop helped me really sharpen my vanilla CSS skills and made me more comfortable with its tools. It helped me strengthen my web design fundamental skills. Workshop went at a comfortable pace while also pushing you to build a webpage in a few days.
Once again, this was a great workshop that made learning fun!

Great starting workshop for beginners! The lessons were broken down to managable pieces with lots of tips and helpful instructions. I had a lot of fun with it and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges.
This has been my favourite course so far. I have found it so much fun and educational to make apps and websites responsive and mobile-friendly. I'm now looking forward to going back through my past projects and applying the new skills I have learnt from this responsive course.

I had a lot of fun learning the basics of coding with SheCodes!
Very challenging, but it was also quite fun! Seriously, I feel quite lost in the middle of the course because the javascript code was quite hard to understand 😂 But the slack, github documentation and the course video were my hero. It was really helping me to understand the code bit by bit. If I don't understand the code yet, I just need to replay the video or read the code documentation. And so glad 🤗 that SheCodes have extension feature. I got quite sick for almost two weeks and need to be hospitalised because my condition didn't not get any better at home. I was still learning in week 4 at that time and need to request an extension for my homework. So I can focus at my recuperation, the extension feature was really a big help.
This workshop was really fun and interesting! I feel like I learned a lot! I relearned many things in a different and more simple way than I did in my first semester of my web design and development classes in my university. I also learned many things or ways I never knew before! Overall, this workshop was really useful, interesting, and fun! It really reinforced the basics I already knew and taught me so much more. I hope to continue learning more in the other workshops and improving my skills and knowledge further and further!

This is one of the best decision I ever made. I was already studying coding for a bit, and gets so frustrated with how unnecessarily complicated it is. Matt, makes the learning so much fun and easy. He is really a gifted teacher. What i struggle to understand sifting through blogs and youtube videos, Matt clear it up in less than 10min. His passion and excitement is very contagious. React seems to be a rather powerful and elegant framework. While learning React is quiet an adventure, I am convinced that the effort, time and energy invested matter a lot, in the long run. Learning is fun with SheCodes people around :)
I like how the course is very hands-on, and the assignments were really fun. Also it was great how a lot of tools and resources were given to refer back to.
