A great course. I learned an incredible amount and had a lot of fun. The workshop is challenging, but not overwhelming. The Slack channel is also very helpful. Matt is great at explaining things.
The Plus add-on project was so much fun, after I'd finished one lesson I was desperate to go on to the next. Learning what Moment can do and how to use it was fascinating, and it's good to know how to use tools like this to make coding a little bit easier.
Nice additional module. It requires a minimal time investment, but you will receive a fully functional website by the end.

I had lots of fun learning how to create my own webpage! I was able to tap into my creative nature whilst learning something new which I really enjoyed! I now feel like I have a much better basic understanding of what a Software Developer does!

SheCodes Plus provided an incredible opportunity to challenge myself further after completing the SheCodes Basics workshop. The integration of theory-based studying & walk-through projects was exceptionally well-crafted, as it allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of the purpose of each piece of code by simplifying complex concepts through demonstration of the functionality of the code as well as breaking down each area of the code to explain its individual purpose.

Hello, I love SheCodes so much! I have learnt a lot, and have had huge amounts of fun along the way that I never managed in all the workshops I ever tried until now. I can't wait for the next workshop to keep upskilling myself to launch into a tech career. My favourite part was being able to put what I've learnt together in the final project. I enjoyed the SheCodes Responsive the most,it was a lot of fun. I was doing it together with Matt as he did it step by step and seeing everything come together was a fun for me. I recommend SheCodes Responsive and I am planning on building the other websites on Figma as provided by SheCodes. This will prepare me for challenges that I will meet in the real world when I build website using designs. The basics coding workshop offered a practical and straightforward introduction to web development fundamentals. The content was well-paced and easy to understand. The final project was an amazing opportunity to visualize my own creative ideas through code.
I loved diving deeper into multiple page hosting and making pages responsive on a multitude of devices. Learning how to (re)style pages depending on the medium was fun and really nice from a design point of view. Getting down to the nitty-gritty details of website designing has been a delight!
If you've done SheCodes basics and are on the fence about signing up for Plus - do it! Yes, JS functions and API take some time to get your head around (maybe that was just me!). Like the basics course, each step is broken down into smaller lessons so it doesn't feel stressful. I think the GitHub and Netlify week is really useful if you're looking to build a portfolio/switch careers and develop a best practice.
Easy to understand the coding and really fun to learn.
Learning coding with sheCodes is an indispensable experience any beginner coder should have. It's easy to follow but also challenging at the same time. I never thought i could come up with a fully-functional app and be familiar with tech jargons by the end of the course!
This add on project was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed building a fan website about my favorite K-pop group BTS. Thanks again for all the great info and fun projects Shecodes! Matt is the best!

At first, I started this class because I wanted to learn something new. I was never into the coding world, until my best friend introduced me to SheCodes. When I saw the codes, it reminded me of puzzles, and I love puzzles. So, I decided to try it and I am so glad I did because I had so much fun! I thank God and SheCodes for the opportunity to gain experience in something new!

All courses are well explained and easy to understand. the exercises are fun and challenging. It is possible to repeat all courses in order to repeat and improve codes. π₯οΈ The Basics Add on course repeats and expands knowledge from the Basic course. The time can be freely allocated. Although it takes a while to understand more onto integrating API especially weather application, overall coding is fun
I'm able to walk away from this workshop with a fully functional weather forecast application. It was a good introduction to everything that goes into building a basic page, however, I think this workshop could prove tricky if you do not have a technical background as there is a lot of self-learning.
Great workshop! The additonal lessons were a lot of fun, especially when adding some cool features to your page like theme changes and image transforms. It was great to learn how to improve user interaction with the landing pages we created.

I've already learned so much from the basics course, I'm excited to learn more with all of She Code's courses. I had limited knowledge in coding before the class, and was fairly intimidated by JavaScript, but I feel now that I have a better grasp on functions.
I am a beginner and before the course had zero knowledge in coding, but Matt explained everything step by step knowing what mistakes beginners usually do and prevented them. I really like it! Matt makes coding really really fun and exciting. I also like that all the challenges really require a bit of Google or analyzing, not just re-creacting stuff. This is how I have learnt something extra stuff. I also like that after every challenge we can watch a solution and there is always something new there. Thank you so much! Can't wait to keep learning!

SheCodes Plus was so fun! I was so stoked to have created my very own live website! There were a couple times where I didn't understand the JavaScript, but rewatching the videos helped so much! Matt really explains the JavaScript thought process so well & he's not super technical with his explanation so anyone can understand him. I like how he mentions the common mistakes & he vocalizes his thought process even when the coding goes wrong - it reassuring. π hehe. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Plus, but I still feel like there is plenty more to learn! Can't wait for the next workshop! - Happy Coder π
I loved taking this course! It is the right amount of simplicity, challenging and fun!!! The videos are well thought out for you to understand just about everything and get you thinking critically on how to do some lessons. Slack is very helpful for referencing questions from other students. Knowing you will receive help from staff within 2 days is also very comforting. You are not alone on your coding journey.
As a new mum looking for a career change I wanted a course that was going to be fun and easy to follow, while also holding me accountable for my own learning. I find the deadlines help to keep me on track and the homework and project help me to see the progress I have made.
