SheCodes Plus was a great next step for learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The weekly challenges and homework were not easy but were broken down into digestible pieces, and I was able to successfully complete the workshop during weekends and after work. Matt provides really clear and concise recorded lessons with follow-up videos to walk you through each challenge and assignment's recommended solution. If more guidance is ever needed, additional help is always available over Slack. I do not have a math or programming background, yet I was able to grasp the concepts and after completing the weather app project, I feel more confident in my understanding and ability to read and create code to build useful applications. I recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has completed the 3-week introduction workshop, and wants to learn more!
I can't believe after three weeks I made a website from scratch! 🙀 The classes were broken down into bite-size pieces that gave you just the right amount of information to digest and were supplemented with a challenge problem to practice and solidify the knowledge. Every lessons builds on topics learned previously so you feel very prepared to tackle the homework at the end of each week. The final project was a culmination of everything learned previously. Great class to take if you want to learn the basics of coding without ever being bored.
The SheCodes Workshop is perfect for everyone who is interested in coding and wants to give it a try. Even as a complete newbie to coding (I can confirm!) it is easy to follow the lessons and fun to complete the challenges and homeworks. Seeing what I can do after just the three weeks of this workshop, makes me excited about what I will be capable of in the future 🤓
SheCodes is the perfect place to kick start your coding journey. As an analyst working alongside engineers I became interested in trying to understand their work. I have searched multiple platforms and different boot camps and I chose Shecodes. It was the best decision I made. The workshop gives you a taste of the kind of projects you can create using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Matt the instructor is an amazing teacher who provides simple and insightful explanations. Matt and the SheCodes staff are wonderful! The Intro to Coding Workshop was awesome -- Matt does a wonderful job teaching each lesson, all the while, keeping them short and sweet. I enjoyed each challenge to practice what was taught in the lesson, and the homework each week was a great way to bring everything together for mastery.

If you have even the slightest interest in coding, do the SheCodes Workshop! At first I was a bit skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the course as I've attempted to code in the past but it never stuck. Believe me, it's worth it! The videos are clear, concise and Matt makes everything as easy to follow as possible. The challenges and homework set out are one of the things that stick out for me from the programme compared to other learning platforms; They encourage you to practise what you've learnt and research things on your own. Another amazing perk is that Matt teaches you not only how to code, but also provides tips along the way of which resources are best to use alongside. It's been an amazing experience and I look forward to doing the SheCodes Plus workshop next!
This class definitely exceeded my expectations in the best possible way. I started this class in lockdown and then suddenly got pushed back into work and had to find a new balance. I'm not gonna lie, the work is a lot especially if you're a noob like me..but if you have the time, you do your research and your homework you can get it done. I work full-time, care for an essential worker, and still find the time to put the work in. Simply put, if you want something done you will make it happen. Period. Matt does a greater job in covering material in the weekly work-course and taking notes never hurt nobody! Shout-outs to Lexi in customer service and Capitan tutor Joao Lopez for their patience and assistance throughout this journey. I will be unable to finish the series but that is only because I have classes at GVSU in the fall, otherwise, I would take this class all the way. Thank you SheCodes!
SheCodes helped me build on my basic coding knowledge. I've learnt so much and really enjoyed the weekly homework to test my abilities! Would definitely recommend :)
This was a great class for beginners like myself! The videos were easy to follow and the challenges, homeworks, and project really allowed me to be hands on and implement what I learned. It was great to have the ability to go back and reference the videos if I got stuck. I did find that the course took more than 15 hours as stated in the course description (at least for myself - a beginner who was taking lots of notes along the way, viewing videos more than once if I got stuck, etc.). This workshop taught me the very basic fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and has set me off to further explore the world of coding and learn more skills! Also, I can't say enough good things about the SheCodes team and the Slack channel that comes along with this workshop - the team was always super quick to respond to any questions I had about the course and the Slack channel provided great support!
I've always wanted to learn more about coding and in the past few weeks, I've been able to learn and practice a lot of information. The weekly workshops are informative and well-thought-out and the challenges make you exercise what you've learned. The weekly homework grew off of each other each week to make the final project more manageable. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who's been curious about coding!
I would highly recommend a course with SheCodes. I have always been interested in coding and I thought SheCodes Workshop would be a good introduction--I was not disappointed. The workshop is a mix of short videos explaining key concepts and a challenge for each concept. There are then larger "challenges" in the form of weekly homework and projects. The length of the videos makes them very easy to get through, and the challenges ensure that you have fully grasped a concept before introducing a new one. I would definitely consider another SheCodes course in future!
I was asked to participate in the 3 Week SheCodes Workshop as a ladies group, enrichment activity. Although I had taken coding in secondary school, I knew this workshop would require more effort and focus than I typically possess. Thankfully, instructor Matt has a pleasant voice and clear delivery. The video lessons can be played and replayed at whatever speed suits your attention span. Weeks 1 and 2 each took a few full days for me to complete, leaving 2 weeks to space the final project. This is a self-paced workshop, but be aware of deadlines. I found the lessons were best absorbed and challenges easier to complete, when I reproduced the instructional exercises along with the videos. The challenges, homework, and final project do require additional self-research and a bit of trial and error. This is where supplied resources like SheCodes Slack workspace and MDN web docs come in handy. I would recommend this workshop only to the person who has the time, budget, interest and motivation to build foundational coding skills.

This course was a great opportunity to restart a skill that I have not used since university. Really appreciated the lesson challenges & homeworks as they were a great opportunities to practice. By the final project I felt it all came together nicely, so definitely do not regret having signed up.
This SheCodes Workshop is great for beginners, in the sense that it teaches the necessary bases for web development. It's really enganging seeing that we have challenges and homeworks, but it can also be slow-paced if you're really into it. Regardless, it's a really well structed intro to coding!

I've never thought about learning how to code until I found myself in a quest to change careers and then saw a SheCodes add on Instagram. By curiosity, I decided to participate in the free coding class to see if I would enjoy it. And for my surprise I did. I really liked the didact of the workshop, combining theory with homework for every new learning. Strongly recommend.
The class course was great! I learned a lot in these last three weeks. I did have some issues getting help with one of my homework assignments. I never had a solid answer on the things I needed to change, since I felt there was a lot that needed to be fixed. The feedback I got after submission was items one by one, so I'm still in the process of trying to complete the homework. Other than that, fantastic course, and I can't wait to begin the additional weeks!
I sincerely thank Matt Delac and the SheCodes staff for the start on my coding journey. SheCodes was instrumental in helping to further develop my coding skills. I gained a lot of knowledge in 3 weeks. I loved how the course was taught and that you could go at your own pace. The videos were easy to follow and to comprehend. The homework and the projects made you think critically and analytically. I have a BA in History. Learning HTML, CSS and Java has given me an important new skill that I was able to use in conjunction with my passion for history. I was able to use my new coding skills on the final project along with a historical topic which I love. The workshop was great at communicating. Slack is a great tool to use for asking questions. I always felt welcomed and comfortable asking questions or giving feedback on my projects. I found SheCodes to be the perfect online community for learn coding. I am glad that I made the decision to take the course and look forward to continuing with more advanced classes.
This was definitely a challenge, but Matt made it very easy to learn! The week's work was divided into mini videos and easy to start and stop as needed. He went at a great pace and the challenges between each lesson were super helpful to practice before the weekly homework.
I've tried to teach myself front-end development in the past, but it was so difficult for me to solidify what I learned. After taking the SheCodes Introduction course, I now have a very good basic understanding and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a new mom, it's really difficult to find time for myself, so it was really great that I can watch the videos and complete the challenges and homework on my own time. I highly recommend SheCodes because the format is really intuitive and helpful. I'm super excited to continue coding and learn more!
I LOVED the SheCodes 3-week workshop! I'd been wanting to learn coding for a while, but hadn't wanted to commit to a course since I had no previous experience related to coding. I attended the SheCodes Express seminar and was super intrigued and signed up shortly after! I really enjoyed the workshop: the videos are super clear and easy to follow and Matt is a great instructor for people of all skill sets. Plus: the whole community (instructors and fellow coders) were all eager, generous and happy to help if I got stuck on a challenge or homework, and communication was made super easy via Slack. I did the 3 weeks workshop and I wanted to learn, practice and to know more about coding. This learning experience has been better than I ever expected. It really challenged me. With online workshops sometimes is hard to stay motivated, but the challenges, the homeworks, the SheCodes team and the Slack chat makes it easy. The SheCodes team provides all the support that we need during the all workshop and Matt is a great instructor. I loved it and look forward to the next workshop.

I've used several free online platforms to learn to code, and as helpful as those are, these courses helped me stay accountable, while also teaching me up to date practices, and handy tips and tricks. It was also good to have homework and projects that I can use later for reference and learning.
I was looking for a career change, and have always been interested in learning code and web development. I started last year, but found the typical boot camps didn't push me enough. With SheCodes I was able to stay on track with the homework due dates and learn more than I ever had. Matt made it easy and explained everything thoroughly. I'm more motivated and excited than ever!
For someone who is an absolute beginner, such as myself, a great way to start a new challenge! The way the workshop is conducted, it's so easy to follow. Each lesson is followed by a task to create or solve, and there's great support from the SheCodes team. Especially with the homework and the project, I couldn't let my laptop go, I'm hooked!
I really enjoy the SheCodes and when I started the course I never thought I'd understand coding but Matt is a good teacher. The course was well-structured and organized. I have learnt a lot and I look forward to continue with SheCodes React and improving my technical skills and knowledge. Helpful introduction to JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The assignments and homework can be slightly time consuming, but definitely worth it.
I feel that I've learned a lot in these past three weeks. The lesson content it's easy to understand, it's really good that you can practice with exercises and homework at every step that you make. I can now understand how the base of Html, CSS and JavaScript works and thanks do that I felt confident to challenge myself and create the final project in which I was able to learn, understand and code something new besides everything that I've learned during the past three weeks. I definitely feel motivated to expand my knowledge now. I recommend SheCodes!
I absolutely loved this SheCodes workshop! Throughout the 3 weeks, I felt that I was part of an active community between the other students and the SheCodes team, all willing to help each other in this fascinating journey of coding :) I really liked the lessons where Matt explained everything in a simple, yet meaningful way with even tips of what developers are doing currently. Also, I am a 100% hands-on person when it comes to learning, so having a challenge for each lesson plus the homework each week helped me a lot to fully understand the basics of HTML, CSS and JS :) Lastly, I love emojis :p I highly recommend SheCodes, and I am looking forward to signing up for more advance workshops in the near future!

This was the first step I dare to take into learning how to code CSS, HTML and JavaScript. SheCodes gives you the right tools to start this career path with informative videos, challenges and homework you have to submit during your workshop. As a beginner into coding, I benefitted greatly from Matt's step-by-step teaching through his videos. The lessons are bite-sized so I was never overwhelmed by information in a single seating. The challenges after each lessons are a great help in refreshing my memories and a big help in putting the lessons into actual practice. The moderator(s) on Slack were also super efficient in answering all sorts of questions I encountered during my learning journey. I love how feedback were given after each homework submission so I know what I did wrong in the process.

I saw an add for SheCodes online and it instantly caught my eye. I currently work as a Business Analyst within an IT Dept and was looking to learn some extra skills. It's been almost 15 yrs since I learned any type of HTML and I was worried I wouldn't be able to squeeze it into my busy schedule. However SheCodes breaks each lesson into digestible parts which allows you to complete them throughout the day at your own pace. I love the Slack community and found it extremely helpful to search when I needed assistance. The challenges for each lesson and homework due each week was very beneficial and helped keep me on task! I enjoyed working on my project and discovered I truly love working with the design of websites. The feeling of accomplishment I get from completing this course is very inspiring and I think I have found my new favorite hobby that is actually productive. Who knows what the future holds! What a great way to learn! I really loved the accountability. It was so important for me to finish my homework every week and make sure I really understood the content. I've completed tons of my homework before - I have a Bachelor's and my MBA - but it's been awhile! The content was broken down in easy chunks, but also gave you enough challenge that you had to push yourself. A great way to learn the basics.
I came into this workshop knowing nothing about coding, and left feeling so inspired to keep learning more! The whole curriculum is very approachable--videos are short but very informative and easy to refer back to, the challenges and homework are helpful and the final project was really fun to work on. I found myself looking forward to this every day and spending hours in my final week working on creating new things outside of the workshop because it was so fun. The Slack group was helpful for questions, someone usually got back to me within a few hours with a quick and helpful answer, and it was really cool to see how many women were taking this from all over the world. This was my first exposure to coding, and Matt's teaching style and enthusiasm takes the intimidation factor out of it for anyone who might be hesitant to try. I highly recommend giving this a try--I definitely want to continue learning more after this.
I am 26 and had a child at 15. Our life has been a ride. I have been a server for well over 8 years and never have I ever thought about coding until our state went into lockdown and everyone including me lost our jobs. It was and still is quite scary but signing up for SheCodes has empowered me in a way I have never been able to reach before. I loved the entire course and I woke up bright and early every morning to finish my homework and study on my own time. Matt is a personable instructor that took the edge off learning something completely new and intimidating. I came into this with absolutely no knowledge of coding. And now I'm hooked. I have been overseeing as a client, website projects for almost 20 years working with the best creative and development agencies in Portugal. More recently, I jumped the fence and had a brief experience as a Senior Project Manager in one such agency. I was always curious about website development and finally decided to learn the basics. It was an amazing experience, SheCodes is extremely well organized, and there is a perfect balance between classes and homework. Ultimately not only I have a much greater understanding of frontend development, but also its complexity. Although I do not plan to become a developer myself, I am sure that what I have learned will play an important role in managing future projects. Additionally, it has given me a heightened respect for developers' work.
I've been interested in learning how to code for years, and this was a great introductory workshop to HTML, CSS, and Javascript! I have a very busy work schedule, but I was able to complete the tutorials, challenges, and homework assignments over the weekends. Matt is a great instructor and a very clear communicator, and you are able to relate and discuss questions or issues with SheCodes staff and your peers anytime over Slack. I feel more confident in my understanding of coding basics, and I am interested in taking the next step to learn more. My only regret is not signing up for a SheCodes workshop sooner!

Overall, I think that the course is well structured, I enjoyed working towards a specific project. It is definitely a good choice if you want to discover if coding is for you. However, one thing I really would have appreciated is getting feedback on homework and final assignments. They simply got accepted as valid solutions without any additional comments, even though I am sure there was a lot to improve.
I started SheCodes with no prior coding knowledge. I had tried online learning for other subjects in the past and didn't have much success; I thought I was just someone who could only learn in person. I decided to try the online course anyway and I am SO GLAD I did. The course is well laid out. The videos are well done and I loved doing the challenges and homework to practice and reinforce the lessons. The best part of this course was that it was actually fun and gave me the confidence to continue on my coding journey. I've always been interested in coding but never taken the plunge and actually tried it. After taking the first workshop with SheCodes I was inspired to dive into the three-week beginner course. I've really enjoyed the lessons, challenges, and homework. I feel like I'm slowly but surely starting to understand this new language!

This course was the perfect fit for me! I wanted to learn web development more in-depth, but I needed guidance and some pressure not to procrastinate however, I couldn't spend a lot of money on a coding bootcamp. Although it was online and we could do it at our own pace, we had the slack chat which helped in feeling part of the class. Matt's English is very good and the classes are spoken at a good pace and you can understand everything very well. Any questions we had we could ask on slack and one of the instructors or even the students would respond briefly. I found it was very helpful this method of asking questions in slack because I would see my colleagues doubts and if I couldn't help them, I would see what the instructors answered and learned a little more. Also when the homework was submitted it appeared on slack and it really helped me in keeping my motivation because I didn't want to fall behind. All the people I talked to were very friendly and ready to help. I really do believe that we get a lot of value for the price we pay. It is on our side to make the most of it!
I've had some coding background that I rarely used in my professional life. But I've been in search of a short and structured coding workshop and this was perfect to expand my skillsets quickly. Instructors respond immediately to questions, and 'challenges' and homeworks were straight to the point and practical. Definitely considering taking their Pro course. Highly recommended!
SheCodes is a wonderful program. The tutorials are great and the homework is challenging but very doable. The final project is a fantastic way to culminate what you've learned and put it to use in a real world application. SheCodes has given me confidence not only in my skills but in my ability to find the answers I'm looking for when I'm stuck. I can't wait to keep coding and I'm so eager to learn more. SheCodes was an amazing experience...I was a bit terrified that I couldn't keep up, but Matt and all the team are really extraordinary! The course pacing is just perfect for you to understand everything, and all the challenges, homeworks and project are a fantastic way of practicing all you've learned. This a very valuable experience, gave me more tools to evolve profesisonally...and what can seem at the beginning like a seven-headed monster can be actually really fun to learn!
I really enjoyed attending this workshop! I didn't know anything about coding. At first, I thought it would be really difficult, but after attending the workshop, doing the homework and following the tutorials, available on the SheCodes website, I managed to do my own landing page from scratch! I was so proud of myself!
SheCodes Plus was great because I could develop what I initially started in SheCodes - Lisbon. The online platform was very well organized. The rewatchable Tuesday classes, the challenges videos + the exercises sequences helped me a lot to prepare myself to do the weekly homework. Never in my life I thought I could actually be capable of building a proper app, with real time information. This workshop sometimes was "sweat, blood and tears" but when I got things done and working it was a huge feeling of accomplishment! I strongly recommend this to all women who want to have a real understanding of what really is Front-End Development and its frameworks. SheCodes gave me the tools and now it's up to me to keep on learning! It boosted my confidence to pursue this as a career change! Thank you Matt, João and all the SheCodes staff!
This Workshop helped me to understand and develop my skills in JavaScript and React. The classes were great to have an overall view of each week's topics and having weekly challenges and homework allowed me to practice and really learn more. This course is very well structured.
She Codes model, in my opinion, works very well and it’s a very well-built course that focus mainly on practice classes, where you have challenges and homework every week that forces you to actually code and put into practice what you’ve learned. I really enjoy the fact that classes are online and recorded, so we could see the videos many times if we had doubts. Also, I think the price is very competitive considering all other market offers and you really learn useful things and not a ton of unnecessary theory. Really enjoyed my time here and learned a lot! Definitely want to continue learning. Thank you Matt and the whole team!
I've really enjoyed the online coding workshop and I can not believe how much I've learned in such a short period of time. Matt is a great instructor, he has provided high-quality course materials with accompanying challenges and homework. He also gave lots of useful tips throughout the workshop including how to search to get the best results and how to use the keyboard more efficiently. I took my first steps towards becoming a developer thanks to SheCodes and cannot wait to continue with the other SheCodes courses to learn more!
The live workshops and the homework in between was a perfect combination and gave me the time to study even additional information. I would highly recommend the coding workshops at SheCodes.
I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.
Matt is a great instructor. He presented all of the information in a way that was easy to understand. I feel that the material was structured very well with a good balance of live classes along with the convenience of learning at our own pace at home. I enjoyed the whole experience - learning, the homework, the project...all of it! I will be looking for the SheCodes Plus availability that will fit my schedule soon.
SheCodes was the perfect way for me to start learning how to code! The structure of the course is really good - with live classes and several tutorials, challenges and homework to work on during the following week. Matt is also super clear during the classes which are so well prepared too. I highly recommend this course for who, as me before, wanted to give a first step into coding. SheCodes helped me to understand better the basics of coding. The amount of homework and lessons were perfect to combine with your work or duty activities.
I have never imagine I could be able to code and understand the web in 3 weeks. Homework were so fun to do and it was definitely worth it to come every Saturday from Porto to learn and to have this unique experience of learning from the Matt and his team. What an energy!
SheCodes was life-changing for me. It gave me the foundation and confidence I needed in order to continue my coding journey by myself. Not only when it comes to CSS HTML and JS, but also design concepts and even tools to use. The classes, homework and amazing network opportunities made it 100% worthwhile. I'm glad I took the leap out of my comfort zone, because it absolutely paid off. Thanks a lot to everyone involved for a great project.
