This has been the best workshop. It was fun working on the challenges and homeworks, the videos were well explained. Not forgetting the slack community which came through whenever i got stuck. I learned so much in this workshop in such a short time. I couldn't have done that in any other course. The structure of the lessons is so understandable and that makes it a lot of fun to work on the challenges and homework. I can hardly wait to start my last part of the workshop and at the same time I think it's a shame that this journey will soon be over.

This workshop was the deal for me. I am working a full-time job and for quite some time now I wanted to see if coding was for me. I took the Basic course not knowing what to expect and in 2 weeks' time decided that web development was what I wanted to do. I applied for the SheCodes Max while still taking the basic course. I can't recommend it enough, it is a perfect method for learning (lesson + homework + solution) and it keeps you accountable to show up every day, even for a bit, but it makes a difference. Plus the community is amazing! Both tutors and other students are really friendly and help you out with technical questions and more. Would suggest it 100%
I had two major problems with this course. First, they don't teach you how to display the current weather and forecast in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (they only teach you how to do it for the current weather). Second, I had a full stack software engineer who also mentors software engineers review the code and he said it was really bad code. That we were taught really bad practices. Considering my only exposure to coding has been SheCodes and I followed along with Matt, I believe this reflects badly on the curriculum. I have done the entire SheCodes program, from the basics to the max workshops. They have a team that reviews the homework assignments and give you either a thumbs up or a thumbs down if it was done correctly. I have only ever received a thumbs up. I am really disappointed. The whole purpose of me joining SheCodes was to prepare myself for a career change. Now, I have to start over from scratch trying to learn clean coding practices.
It was my first time with coding and the workshop was really easy to understand and to follow and you can learn at your own pace, which was something that I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed very much the challenges after each lesson and the homeworks. Seeing how my code turns out is very satisfying and it gave me a lot of pleasure to do the final project.
Through homework, projects I got from the SheCodes team, helped me understand coding that it wasn't that difficult as I thought.

Wow, I cannot believe I have completed the full Max curriculum! I have learnt so much since starting and can now create webpages and webapps with different coding languages and tools. I have to thank Matt Delac as his videos, challenges and homework have guided me to this point. It has been very fun (and hard at some points). I had zero knowledge of coding and thought that you needed to be good at maths. I quickly found out that you don't. SheCodes Basics is very easy to understand and fun way to get into coding. Through homeworks, challenges, projects and the help I got from the SheCodes team, helped me understand coding basics and that it wasn't that difficult as I thought. I don't regret a second choosing SheCodes. Best investment I have done in my life. I do HIGHLY reccomend it. I want to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for everything. Keep the good work up! I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
This program has been great and I love that I have homework on actual due dates - a lot of online courses let you work as you go with zero due dates and I these dues dates have been keeping me in CHECK! I am here for the whole she-bang and doing every single workshop and add-on projects and Imma take a stab at the CHALLENGE PROJECTS!

I enjoyed every minute of the SheCodes Basics workshop! I love Matt's teaching style. I learned while having fun and even laughing sometimes. I loved that there are challenges after most of the teaching videos. This is the best teaching style for me. You implement what you learn. I also like that it is self-paced although there is a deadline for submitting the weekly homeworks and the final project. This is good for me too because I need to be able to learn on my own time but I also need that little push to stay on track. Can't wait to start with the SheCodes Plus workshop!
I am truely happy that I came across SheCodes a couple of weeks ago. I have always been somewhat curious about coding, but never had the guts to participate in any sort of education around it, since I feared the feeling of embarassment if I wouldn't get the hang of it right away. SheCodes for me has the perfect balance of providing deadlines yet also enables participant to work on the lessons/challenges/homework whenever best suitable for them (/us). I had to postpone one of my homework deadlines and was really happy how easy that was, too. Zero stress added to the already stressful daily life at work and other things going on - life pretty much. Now that I have completed my first course I am determined to book another one soon. I really enjoyed the little highs whenever my code worked and am now also confident enough, that I am capable of learning more about it. All thanks to Matt and his team. It was a pretty difficult journey hey, at some point I thought I wouldn't be able to do it but I managed to push through and make sure I do all my homeworks and challenges and the final project, which was super challenging. I am very thankful to our tutor and his team for always helping me out when I didn't even have a clue on what I was doing. After hearing favorable reviews, there was an incredible desire to join. But there was fear, because you can never know exactly what you will get. But I am pleasantly satisfied with the course. I have been a nurse for last 20 years. Due to my medical condition its getting to difficult for me to work and do what I loved. So I stumbled upon the 60mts session my Matt which came across as very comprehensive, interesting and very easy to follow along which made me to join the Basic course. I thoroughly enjoyed it and looked forward to solve each challenge or homework. Hopefully I would continue this journey to achieve my goals.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every step of this SheCodes workshop 🙌 It is only the beginning, but I started this journey not knowing anything about coding, to actually putting a web page together from scratch - which is incredible in just 3 weeks. I enjoyed learning with SheCodes. I learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but I wish the course would have gone a bit more in detail. What I really liked was the fact of having deadlines, which motivated me to study every week and dedicate some time for the homework and the final project!
Coding has always seemed to be overwhelming but since joining the SheCodes Basic workshop, the lessons have helped me understand and build a real life project which I had fun doing. I had an amazing experience with all the Shecodes workshops. I would firstly like to thank God for my encounter with Shecodes foundation and instructor Matt Delac for an exceptional learning curve I obtained while attending his intuitive classes, having given challenges to practice and best do what I was taught followed by weekly homeworks which improved by coding skills . Last but not least I would like to thank the shecodes team for their support. Overall it has been a great experience, I enjoyed coding and I would do these workshops all over again if I had to.
I like how Matt makes it look so easy to learn to code. As someone who has no experience in this at all, it can get overwhelming fast. This is why I appreciate Matt's magic in teaching. The SheCodes basics workshop was excellent! I had been debating a career change and was hesitant about diving in and spending a lot of time and money on something I wouldn't enjoy. The combination of short videos and homework assignments made coding easy to digest. Matt was comprehensive and to the point and with the help of the SheCodes slack team, I was able to complete all my assignments. I am finishing this course with the confidence to know I CAN code, and I will be enrolling in the SheCodes Max program next.

I struggle with self-learning, but this structure was a good educational setup with autonomy. It was fun also. I highly recommend SheCodes!!
I did the basic program to see if i wanted to continue learning about programming. I enjoyed how you have to do challenges that set you up for your weekly homework assignments. I enjoyed everything about SheCodes and the challenges I had to learn to overcome. I enjoyed knowing there's a whole community to be able to rely on if I couldn't figure it out on my own. I plan on doing the SheCodes Max program next
SheCodes is an easy and fun way to learn coding. I loved that I could do it in my own time, while the challenges helped my put my newly gained knowledge into action. I also really enjoyed the fast an precise feedback for every homework assignment.
Shecodes plus was an amazing journey. Big big thanks to Matt for the well explained lessons, daily challenges and weekly homework which helped in keeping me on toes. To the slack community, thank you for coming through when I was stuck. Shecodes is the best place to start and also sharpen your coding skills. Honestly cant wait to start the next workshop.

The course made a very good impression on me. I went through it with great interest. I like that the lessons are short. And after the lessons you have to do your homework immediately and then you can always find out the right answer.
This program made learning the basics of coding very accessible and doable. The tutorials, explanations, challenges, and weekly homework are great ways to begin coding if you don't have any experience. Perfect for novices. I do recommend it especially if you have any inkling of interest.
The SheCodes workshop has not only taught me HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and many more technologies. It has also increased my confidence, helping me overcome imposter syndrome and enhance my problem solving skills whether this be through the challenges, weekly homework or final projects. I would highly recommend SheCodes to women who are trying to up skill and enter the tech industry. The workshop has provided me with a strong foundation in front end development, getting hands on coding experience creating projects such as landing pages, a React weather app and a responsive portfolio. Even if you are not looking to get into the industry, the workshops are great for learning a new skill and having fun along the way. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for all the support during my coding journey!

I have always found coding interesting, but I never felt confident/settled enough to sign up for courses. The SheCodes program created a safe space for me to be able learn at my own pace but still be under pressure with the homework deadlines and challenged my abilities in a positive way. It made me realise that this is the path I want to do in the future and Mr Delac's coaching skills created a very relaxed learning environment for me. Thank you very much.
I recently got hired for a new and exciting role in my school division (I am a teacher) as an Educational Technology Coordinator. A part of my role will also be working with computers and computer science, so I wanted to get a headstart this summer on improving my basic coding skills. From the first webinar, I knew that SheCodes would be a great program fit for me. You can go at your own pace, however, I found it really easy to complete the lessons and homework earlier than anticipated. The entire SheCodes Basics program was so easy to follow - I loved the lessons and Matt is a wonderful teacher who explains things. You can tell he is very passionate about coding and has so much knowledge to share. I learned many practical tips. The homework is challenging, however, with supports like the Slack channel and Athena AI, I had no issues. I've decided that after completing the Basics Program, I am definitely going to continue my SheCodes journey! I cannot wait to continue to learn and grow with this program. This community of women is very inspiring.
