Being SheCodes Basic my first programming experience ever, I was hesitant that I would not be able to follow the lessons and fail in my quest to learn the basics of programming. Having just finished my Fine Art degree I was looking for a way to make myself more employable and learn a new skill. Having worked with Blender and other design softwares, I wanted to push my knowledge beyond aesthetics and start creating on the web. This course is exactly what I needed to start this journey. I plan on progressing to become a front-end developer.
SheCodes Basics is a perfect introduction, well structured and completely possible to handle. Make me feel confident to keep learning coding as a new skill in 2023.

This add-on to the SheCodes Basics Workshop taught additional skills that transform webpages to a polished look and interaction. The instructor Matt was very clear in explaining difficult learnings within CSS and JavaScript. I am very grateful and motivated to transition into SheCodes Plus!
The entire experience was wonderful. I was able to apply what I had learned to the challenges, and when I ran into problems, I would refer back to the videos. If I still couldn't figure out the problem, the question had probably already been asked on Slack, which was very useful. I also appreciated how quickly they provided feedback on the homework and pointed out your errors. The feedback, as well as having other students inquire what I was struggling with, made the experience less frightening and increased my interest.
It was an amazing experience. Interesting knowledge, exciting presentation, and motivation to learn - that's why I recommend SceCodes to everyone who wanted to try their hand at web developing.

SheCodes Basics Add-On was a fun way to review some of the basic concepts I learned when I started SheCodes last summer, plus some cool new concepts! I started this basics course because I wanted to do a course in UI design and I thought it would be smart to know the basics of coding before learning how to design. Little did I know I would enjoy coding this much and have now decided to do the full course and put UI on hold for now.
I have done SheCodes Basics, Basics Addon, Plus, Responsive and React so far. I find that this Plus Addon was nicely built on top of what I learned during the Plus workshop. I'm sure I can utilize these JavaScript skills in my future projects! :) Once again, the workshop was executed in an easy-to-understand way, so building the project went smoothly. Thank you!

Oh my goodness! I had so much fun and learnt so much. the lessons are not overwhelming at all, Matt explains every line of code. I have particularly enjoyed this course because it's definitely boosted my confidence when it comes to JS functions. I do admit React can be quite counterintuitive at times but Matt has done an excellent job at explaining the process step-by-step. I am so very grateful to SheCodes for everything I have learned, I can't wait to learn more about React as it's definitely the field I would like to steer my career towards.

SheCodes makes learning really fun with a great balance of theory, practicals and code-a-long videos. I've found that the structure of the lessons has helped me to pick up concepts quickly and you do feel you have achieved something each week with the homework tasks. I've also picked up lots of tools and tips that aren't necessarily taught in other self-learning platforms I've tried.
The responsive course confirmed my love for design and its endless possibilities of it. The course was well thought out, with enough guidance to point you in the direction of further learning. I ended up getting lost in the world of CSS and the creative ways to make websites responsive - though I wouldn't have been able to do this without the help of the Responsive course.
I started SheCodes workshops with 0 idea of coding and after completing 3 levels I feel I am learning a lot super quickly. I love the lesson materials, homework and assistance we receive. It's helping me expand my knowledge so much in a field that was completely unknown for me.
I am a complete beginner to coding (minus some very basic CSS tweaks back in the days of tumblr) and I found this workshop to be simple yet challenging, straightforward & easy-to-learn, and overall, it really got me excited about a future in tech. My husband is a web developer and has always encouraged me to learn how to code. I wasn't sure if I would like it so was looking for an introductory course that I could fit around working and being a mom of two young kids. I liked how I could do the lessons from home at times that suited me. The home work deadlines kept me accountable and encouraged me to stick to my learning schedule. Matt is a great instructor and my favourite part of the course was the challenges.

Round 3 of SheCodes workshops was as informative, interesting and entertaining as the first. I was able to use many of the HTML and CSS techniques we learned in Basics and Plus. I really enjoyed the creative freedom we got for this portfolio project. Though there were some moments of confusion and stress with my code, I was able to pull through with the help of Matt's lecture videos and the slack chats of fellow SheCodes students. I am really happy with my project and I can't wait to start on SheCodes React and Add-on projects.
I loved this workshop! I feel so much more prepared and knowledgeable on React, especially on VSCode, and feel like I can even start making my own projects on my own :) I will take what I've learned into new coding endeavors and future jobs!

This was a tough but rewarding add-on. As a person who uses dark theme on all platforms that allow it, I can't imagine not learning how to build a dark theme toggle button myself. So glad I did!

A really hectic week. Very challenging, very informative. I've learnt so much from Matt's classes, the program is very supportive. I also love how the team isn't spoonfeeding, and leaves room for you to consult other resources such as Google in order to find ways to deal with other challenges as well as be creative. Genuinely loved every step of the way.

The shecodes Plus was so informational. So much information that I have learned in this course. It was an amazing experience creating a real life weather app.I still can't wrap my head around that I made a weather app.

This course pushes you to overcome some of the challenges you will face as a developer. I have learned so many new techniques and tricks to solve some of the common issues. I've taken a few online courses over the years, but it is safe to say that SheCodes tops them all by far. Matt is highly skilled at breaking down complex information into manageable and understandable chunks in a logical order that allows you to gradually build a solid foundation of knowledge, which is further reinforced by the demonstrations and examples provided in the lessons, and your own practice via the lesson challenges, homework and projects. As a visual and practical learner, these methods have helped me so so much, and I've learned and retained so much more than I was ever expecting. Matt has also managed what I previously believed was impossible - to make programming less scary (and fun)! Thanks again for this wonderful experience.

She Codes was the perfect way to learn some coding! The Basics course was a great way to test out coding to see if that is the path I'd like to pursue in Tech. I decided to pursue UX and PM'ing instead, and the best part is that these coding skills will help on that path as well! I am so excited to be transitioning my career into Tech. She Codes created an amazing space and tool for me to upskill on my time in a very optimistic and encouraging environment. I definitely would recommend SheCodes courses.
