This workshop was quite challenging. At the beginning it seems like everything make sense, but after you learn about API and how to more improve your weather app, it will confuse you a little. But I think with this workshop it was easier to understand and get the connection between HTML, JavaScript and API. I enjoy this coding and will recommend! :)

This was fun to make your own website and learn how to make a website responsive without using bootstrap.

I feel I have a decent basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript now. I wanted to dip my toe into the world of coding to see if it interested me; I didn't want to commit to a lengthy in-person course, but I didn't want to teach myself with free online resources either as I know I learn better with assigned tasks and deadlines to work towards. This was a good compromise where it's a pretty-much self-directed course with assigned goals and deadlines.

In my opinion this platform and the program that it offers to people is a good and initial way of learning how to base code. I find this program useful and would want it to get more detailed and well explained.

I always wanted to learn how to code, but it seemed way too complicated. Because of that, I kept putting it off for a long time. Ever since I started with SheCodes Basic, that has completely changed! The lessons are super clear and well-structured, and the combination of theory and practical challenges makes it a lot of fun to do. In a short amount of time, I already knew how to build my own webpage. I'm so glad I finally took the leap and can see my own progress unfold.

This course was my first experience with coding, and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. The teacher explained everything in such a clear, smooth, and engaging way, which made learning much easier and more enjoyable. I learned so many new things, and I never imagined that the world of coding could be this beautiful and exciting. I loved learning more about implementing AI into Python Code. Very well structured and easy to follow along. Finished the course in one day.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes React Workshop and, most importantly, I feel that I’ve learned a lot by putting everything into practice with my own project. For this project, I built a fully functional English Dictionary App using React, working with reusable components, React state, conditional rendering and asynchronous API requests. I integrated the SheCodes Dictionary API, Pexels API and SheCodes AI API to create features such as definitions, translations, pronunciation, visual context and AI-assisted grammar explanations. One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was learning how to structure a React application properly and understand how different components can work together while keeping the code organised and maintainable. I also gained more confidence working with APIs, handling loading and error states, managing user interactions and building a responsive interface for different screen sizes. This project really helped me move from understanding React concepts individually to actually bringing them together in a complete application. I’m very happy with the result and, even more importantly, with how much more confident I feel building with React now. Thank you, SheCodes! 💜

The SheCodes Basic Coding Workshop was a great introduction to coding, especially for understanding the fundamentals in a simple and engaging way. The SheCodes basic workshop was a user-friendly way to start my journey in understanding code and learning basics for my marketing career.

Before this workshop, the word “coding” honestly intimidated me. I never imagined that I would become comfortable doing anything that involved code, let alone building functional websites and prototypes that actually work. The SheCodes workshop changed that for me.Through the hands-on projects, I discovered that coding could be accessible, creative, and genuinely fun. Lovable helped me break through the fear I had around coding and gave me the confidence to experiment, make mistakes, troubleshoot, refine my ideas, and keep building. I learned more about frontend development, responsive design, website structure, content, SEO, metadata, and how to turn an idea into a working digital product using AI-assisted development. What made the experience even more meaningful was that I wasn't simply following tutorials—I was building real projects. I created websites and prototypes that I can continue developing beyond the workshop. I am now planning to connect my own domains and make some of these projects fully public outside Lovable. That alone is something I never thought I would confidently say before starting this journey. The lessons were explained so well, and every project gave me an opportunity to learn something new while having fun. I especially loved the freedom to bring my own ideas to life and see them transform from concepts into functional prototypes. Most importantly, this experience taught me that fear doesn't always mean “I can't.” Sometimes it simply means “I haven't tried yet.” I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity, the scholarship, and everyone who made this learning experience possible. SheCodes and Lovable didn't just teach me how to build websites—they helped me build confidence in myself as a creator and technology learner. I started this journey afraid of coding. I really enjoyed the coding workshop! I learned a lot about making websites responsive and got to put it into practice by building my own portfolio. It was a great hands-on experience that helped me understand responsive design much better and gave me more confidence in my coding skills.

What took me most by surprise in this course was not only learning new AI tools or discovering how to build websites with AI, but the level of instruction, precision, and attention to detail throughout the entire development process. I have always heard the phrase, “It’s all in the details,” but this course allowed me to see what that really means in practice. The instructions were not simply about what the AI should follow; they reflected principles that any good programmer or developer should follow. What stood out to me was how the course covered details at every stage — from design and user experience to the details that affect a website's first impression, such as Open Graph (OG) metadata and SEO, as well as performance, accessibility, structure, and implementation. Another valuable aspect was having access to instructor-created guides and tools covering both frontend and backend development with each topic supported by practical, learnable content rather than simply presenting a tool and expecting the learner to figure everything out independently. For me, this is what makes the course much more than an AI basics course. Even someone who already has development or AI knowledge can benefit from it because it strengthens and organizes that knowledge while introducing better practices and workflows. I would describe it as a package of broader skills for AI, software development, and modern digital product building. It does not just teach you how to use AI; it helps you understand how to use it while still thinking like a developer — paying attention to the details that ultimately make a product stand out.

Finishing my final project with SheCodes has been such an amazing and empowering experience! Taking both the traditional coding courses and the new AI Basics courses has been an absolute gamechanger for me. I started out learning the foundational building blocks by hand-coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. From there, I jumped into using AI tools to quickly build out beautiful layouts, set up user sign-in screens, and bring my ideas to life faster than ever. We definitely hit some frustrating real-world snags along the way, like the page crashing on mobile screens and layout buttons freezing up right at the finish line. The SheCodes Plus AI workshop gave me incredible insights into building functional and beautiful applications using artificial intelligence in just two weeks. I mastered prompt engineering for and learned how to seamlessly integrate an AI API into my code. I wanted to start creating my own web pages. I really like this module and learned the basics to start coding, I am willing to continue this journey and learn more. You get immediate feedback to fix any issue, you get in the coding homework!

In times of AI, I thought it would be extremely helpful to learn how to implement AI into coding, and this Plus AI module did the best to teach me this. I am very happy that I made this experience and learned so much about AI and coding and how those fields could go well together. It is not about AI replacing coding, but about using the AI to make coding and the experience for the users even better.

I learned so much and my brain broke a few times but it was worth it. Weather apps aren't my thing, but I can appreciate the the purpose of building a weather app and using live searchable data in the advanced coding. And creating loops as opposed to copy/pasting code forcing long repetitive lines of data. And I was having problems with deploying, but staff was super nice and responded quickly. Thanks!!

Another fun but more challenging project to develop a World Clock App. Lots of new coding to learn around dates, times and displaying timezones!

I really enjoyed SheCodes Python Basics. I came into it with some HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience, so it was interesting seeing familiar programming ideas expressed differently in Python. The weather app project was probably the most useful part for me because it brought functions, APIs, dictionaries, dates, loops and debugging together in one proper build rather than learning everything in isolation. I also liked having enough space in the challenges to try things my own way instead of just copying the instructor’s solution. By the end, I felt much more confident reading Python, debugging it, and understanding why the code worked rather than just getting it to run. I’m definitely not done with Python yet.

It has been a great introduction to coding and has helped me understand how Python can be used to create something practical and interactive. One of my favourite parts was building my own weather app using an API. I learned how to ask the user for a city, connect to a weather API, retrieve live weather information, and display the current temperature, humidity and forecast. Before SheCodes, I had no degree and no coding background — just a full-time job and a goal to change my career path. I never imagined I would come this far in my AI learning journey. Given my current circumstances as a refugee, I initially believed that pursuing this path would be nearly impossible. However, thanks to SheCodes, I have been given not only the knowledge and skills to explore artificial intelligence but also a renewed sense of hope and purpose. Your support has been truly invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and be inspired. SheCodes has shown me that where I come from does not define where I can go, and for that, I will always be thankful.

The She Codes AI Plus add-on workshop gave me a completely new understanding of how to work with AI. Before the workshop, I was writing prompts without a real sense of why some got better results than others. Through the hands-on exercises, I learned how much context matters, and that clearly framing my goal, giving relevant background, and specifying what I wanted upfront made a huge difference in the output I got back. I put this directly into practice while building my Jazz playlist generator: instead of a vague prompt like 'make me a jazz playlist,' I learned to specify mood, era, instrumentation, and listening occasion, which completely changed the quality and relevance of the results. This workshop gave me a practical, repeatable framework for prompting that I now use well beyond that one project.

The React Add-on took my JavaScript fundamentals and showed me how to structure real, interactive applications with them. Building the dictionary project, handling API responses, managing state with hooks, and debugging issues like mismatched data shapes and failed API calls taught me how to actually trace a bug back to its root cause instead of guessing. I also learned to work with multiple APIs in one project, combining dictionary data with image search, which pushed me to think about how different pieces of an app talk to each other. Going forward, I'll carry this component-based thinking and debugging approach into every project I build breaking problems into smaller pieces, reading the data I'm working with carefully, and not being afraid to dig into documentation when something doesn't work as expected.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to learn something useful. Such a well-organized learning program, where there is an opportunity to use practical projects and gain new technologies through them, is highly beneficial. It was very important for me to be engaged not only in theoretical things but also in the construction of real projects because it boosted my self-confidence and gave the motivation to keep learning. There is one more thing that should be mentioned to make the whole process more effective: there should be an opportunity to communicate with mentors and other people who can exchange their experience.

I really enjoyed doing this workshop! This is my first time learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I have a little prior coding knowledge because I'm currently in college pursuing my bachelors degree in computer science. I have learned some backend coding like Python, C++, and C language, but I always felt like I couldn't fully grasp backend programming. It might be because backend coding never truly interested me.This workshop was a lot of fun and really sparked my interest in exploring front-end development.

During this course, I've applied what I learned about responsive design to adapt my designs. I've checked my designs between different screen sizes using CSS media queries and building flexible components, mainly classes, that can be utilized across different lines of code that share the same class. I learn a little more about creative control when working with images and refining my existing layouts.

I really enjoyed this React workshop! 🚀 It was a great opportunity to take my JavaScript skills further and learn how to build a complete, responsive application with React. Building the Weather App helped me understand components, state, props, API integration, asynchronous data and responsive design in a much more practical way. Seeing the project evolve from the first component to a fully deployed application was incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned a lot and feel much more confident continuing my journey with React and building my own projects.

I had no experience in coding before and the SheCodes program gave me an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript in a way that was practical and easy to understand. Before joining the program coding was intimidating now it’s enjoyable.

It has been an incredible journey with @SheCodes. Realizing at 44 that your professional life is not what you had always dreamed of is not easy. When I started the bootcamp, I felt completely lost and had no idea what my passion was. Before the class, I knew I wanted to learn front-end development, but I wasn't always sure how HTML, CSS, layouts, and responsive design worked together. What I especially enjoyed was being able to learn by building. Each project gave me a chance to experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, and see the results immediately. Learning how to make a website adapt to different screen sizes has been especially valuable because I want my websites to look good and feel intentional whether someone visits from a desktop, tablet, or phone. The class also gave me more confidence to combine my creative interests with technology. My final project brings together my interests in crafts, perfume making, TTRPGs, and front-end development, which made the learning process feel personal rather than just like completing an assignment. I'm leaving the class with more than a finished website. I have a better understanding of responsive design, more confidence with HTML and CSS, and a foundation I can continue building on as I learn JavaScript and develop my portfolio. This class helped me realize that I don't have to choose between being creative and being technical—I can be both.

SheCode has been a great learning experience that has helped me improve my technical skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities. Through the program, I gained practical experience, learned from supportive mentors, and had the opportunity to work on real projects. I am grateful for the knowledge, guidance, and opportunities SheCode has provided, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to grow in technology and software development with AI.

This is my second workshop and it is still as nice as when I started, if not better! The learning method is so smooth that I really have fun while doing it.
