I really enjoyed the freedom of learning on my own schedule. With SheCodes I was able to start on any Monday of the month. I really enjoyed how Matt took the time to help us solve the problem, without feeling rushed. As a person that is new to UX Design, I found this workshop to be helpful in learning basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The SheCodes course perfectly pairs learning and practice. It's extremely helpful for any beginners out there who are interested in learning more about coding.
SheCodes made it easy to understand and learn. Even when I had troubles their program 'slack' was very useful.

SheCodes Basics has been really wonderful. I got to learn basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript and put all those knowledge in use while working on the project. The challenges at the end of each lesson really test your understanding which I feel was very helpful. I would definitely encourage women who are thinking in terms of coding to try the Basics workshop. It is fun, enjoyable and you get to learn actual coding !!!
I loved SheCodes so much! Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. The project was SO fun and I found it very easy to apply what I've learned to create my page. I'll definitely be taking a more advanced course in the future.
SheCodes has been an amazing journey. SheCodes Basics has simply been the best place for me to actually learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We used real tools, and thus got to work in the environment that professionals operate in. Lessons are very hands-on and you need to use the knowledge you've learnt in a lesson in the next challenge, so you have to pay attention. It is no problem though, because Matt keeps it very fun, up-beat and engaging. I would highly recommend SheCodes for any girl/woman/lady+++ who wants to learn how to code.
This was my last workshop with SheCodes and a great addition to the Basics, Plus and React. Building responsive websites is the future. You will learn so many new things. I highly recommend it as Matt explains everything in detail and the final project is so much fun.

I always thought coding was beyond me as it looked quite complex and overwhelming at first, but going through the course SheCodes Basics by Matt you learn step by step and break it down into smaller chunks. To me, it is liken to putting puzzle pieces together to form that bigger picture you had in mind! I highly recommend it as it challenges you to be creative and persevering. Also, it definitely opens up new doors for your career! 😁
I've tried many coding tutorials in the past, but SheCodes teaches material in a way that is fun and engaging. The material is taught in a manner where the student is not overburdened with trivial technicalities but given the necessary tools to explore and create projects that correlate well with real-world use cases. I'm very excited to make use of my skills, and I've learned more in 3 weeks than I ever did 6 months into so called web development courses.

Simply amazing! I cant believe I learned how to code a basic webpage in two and a half weeks. The last time I ever manipulated a HTML was to add music on MySpace in 2005. I did not think that I would be able to pick up this skill so quickly but with Matt's guidance and thorough explanation through each solution I was able to practice and produce a functional visible code starting from a blank page.
Absolutely LOVED this!! I loved the set up of learn, challenge, solution. I learned so much and I want to learn more!! I feel so confident in what I have learned.
Definitely a challenging yet rewarding workshop. I was looking forward to learning about hosting with accurate data. It surely is complex and powerful. I absolutely recommend this workshop. The help is there when you need it and it is fun to learn on the possibilities with coding.

I’ve always wanted to learn web development and chose SheCodes because it allowed me to learn anytime. As a full time working parent, finding an online course that I could fit into my schedule was really important. I was able to learn a lot and put it together to create project, something I wasn’t able to do with other online tutorials. Matthew does a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend.

The SheCodes Basics course enabled me to obtain a fundamental understanding of coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The course length and format were perfect for my needs and learning style.
This is my third workshop. It incorporated and added to the knowledge acquired in the prior 2. I can't say that I enjoyed all of it, but I certainly learned a lot. It is intensive. But it did get easier as I proceeded through the course.
Learning to code with SheCodes has been so fun and engaging! I have definitely learnt way more than I would have trying to teach myself. The videos and exercises are great and having support on hand when you run into an issue really helps you advance at a good pace!
SheCodes Plus was so challenging yet I leave this course feeling really fulfilled and accomplished. I learned so many new things and I can't wait to show off my weather project! :)

I studied graphic designing and I am currently living in Minnesota. I am absolutely new to coding but I was always curious to know how code works and I decided to take my curiosity to a step ahead and decided to learn code 😊.
I was able to learn at my own pace, which was perfect! I have a full-time job and trying to balance my current job with learning to code seemed like it couldn't be done. Thanks to SheCodes I have been able to start the process and enjoy every step of the way!

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

After finishing SheCodes Plus I was not sure whether I should do SheCodes Responsive or SheCodes React first. I'm glad I decided to do SheCodes Responsive first to slow down and focus on the design aspect and learn more about optimizing sizing of pages for certain devices. I am excited and nervous to move on to SheCodes React but I am excited to update my portfolio with new projects!
SheCodes Basic was such a great and encouraging experience! I had no prior knowledge of coding, but Matt broke each topic down in an understandable and manageable way. Each new piece of information was reinforced with an engaging challenge that helped to solidify the information. I had a really great time learning with SheCodes. There were times when I was a bit frustrated but I pushed through and got my work done. I managed to have a friend who is a dev for 11 years help me along the way which I owe alot to him for the help! I could not have done it with out him!

It's a really great course. The explanations are very clear and the videos help a lot to see how everything works. Even though it's challenging, I find the practical side of the course a great addition. If you don't practice and see for yourself how everything works, you don't learn enough.

I have always been interested in learning to code, however, I never thought it was something I could do because I don't have a master's in computer science. I have learned and understood the basics of coding from the SheCodes course.

The lessons are very well explained and I feel that I absorbed all the content perfectly without it being difficult to learn. SheCodes Responsive is the workshop where everything truly comes together. I used everything I have learned so far, in SheCodes Basics and Plus and combined it with Responsive to build my portfolio project. It is very satisfying to see how much I achieved since I started learning, and it all thanks to the SheCodes workshops. :)
SheCodes courses are just perfect kick off for people who want to start with coding from the beginning. I really appreciate challenges and homework with deadlines because this system keeps me in the process of learning, which is IMO extremely important.

Aside from learning about coding, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and using them in practice, my biggest takeaway of this workshop is understanding the "magic" that happens behind every single page that we navigate through on our daily lives.

After finishing SheCodes Basic I immediately started with SheCodes Plus. Eager to learn more I completed the course and gain so much valuable knowledge in just a couple of weeks. From Bootstrap to Hosting and working with APIs. It was definitely challenging at times, but so much worth it seeing my weather app come to life. I can only recommend it!

When I decided to try out SheCodes, I was hoping to refresh my memory on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My experience with coding has mostly been using more object-oriented languages like Java and Python. More than expected, I was able to build a much better responsive website through the SheCodes workshop compared to when I first started. It was nice to relearn the basics and it helped me discover a passion for responsive web design. I hope to build on more from what I learned here and see where it takes me.

I've had a lot of fun playing around with what I've been learning in general, which was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend this class for anyone.

I've wanted to change careers for a long time but have felt stuck and discouraged at the prospect. After seeing ads for SheCodes I decided to take the free class on a whim, thinking what do I have to lose? I never thought coding would be something I could do but I liked the free class so much I signed up for Basics right away. The lessons were easy to follow and the challenges were really fun. I can actually see myself working in the tech field now and I definitely plan on continuing my education through SheCodes. If you want to see if coding is for you or learn the basics I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!

It has been an incredible experience. Had 10/10 fun with it. In those 3 weeks of the workshop, I learned a lot about what we - regular users - deem obvious. It gave me a great first impression and most of all, it didn't scare me away! On the contrary, I feel like I want to dig deeper and learn more about coding!

Is it possible to work full-time and do a SheCodes course? Yes, but you have to put in the extra work and you have to code every week, at least every second day to stay inside the loop. This is my second SheCodes course and I really enjoy learning with Matt’s videos. Things start to get a little more complicated now, but I am excited about what’s coming next and how everything I’ve learned is intertwining. Coding is creative and code is poetry.
Loved getting into coding and learning about the basics! I had zero knowledge going into classes but the interactive workshops made it easy and fun to follow along!
I have purchased this course because I like working with PC but I have to say it wasn't easy to combine it with my full time job. It was real fun learning how to code and undestand it better in every lesson. Thanks guys😜

I started working in the hospitality industry years ago while completing my University degree. When I graduated, I wasn't very sure what direction to go so I decided to travel the world instead. 🌎 After working my way up in the hospitality industry while globetrotting, I realized I have a love for software and processes. I decided to take the risk and switch industries! Since then, I feel like I'm finally able to apply my education to something I'm passionate about. It was actually a client of mine that recommended I sign up for SheCodes so with the support of my Manager, I decided to take the leap and start learning how to code. Amazing Again! This is my 3rd course with SheCodes, and I have gained an insane amount of skills and confidence in coding within a short space of time. I thoroughly enjoyed creating my own Responsive website for my portfolio, it gave me ample opportunity to strengthen my command of Bootstrap. After taking Basics and Plus, I was fully equipped to tackle my Responsive project more independently. It was great learning how to build a project on which I could showcase my Weather App and future projects too! My mind is buzzing with all of the projects I want to build now!

SheCodes basic is a great way to learn what coding is. Some tasks almost drove me crazy, but Matt's repetition that coding is fun kept me going. Some tasks include elements which were not talked about in the videos. This was a great way to use learned information. I am thankful to Matt and the Team for this course!
