I really enjoyed learning the basics of code. The best part is that you can do your own schedule and organize your work as you wish. It's easy to follow and very practical. As a Marketeer, I was able to learn valuable concepts that are already helping me in my everyday work. I truly enjoyed this class and can't wait to learn more in the future!

I took a web development course over three years ago. Back then, the program was fast paced and I was juggling so much, that although the course was enjoyable, the curriculum and pacing may not have been optimal for my learning development. Currently, I am a manual software tester, but have always wanted to get back to learning how to code. SheCodes has given me the opportunity to learn at my own pace and retain the knowledge while having fun!
I come from a hands on creative background. I've found that coding appeals to the technical creative side of myself. Matt has broken down each lesson so well, and I'm excited about each new lesson I learn.
I have learned so much! From barely even having seen a code to to understanding how it works and being able to build a page. I like that Matt's reviews are thorough and easy to keep up with and that you can go back and look through if you need to again. SheCodes Plus is an excellent addition to SheCodes Basics. It is a very useful workshop where you get to learn a bunch new stuff about JavaScript, APIs and hosting. Matt explains everything clearly and even though you might think building a weather app is challenging, it becomes fun and easy.
SheCodes Plus was an incredible experience that really allowed me to learn a lot about JavaScript and APIs. Building the final project was a fun challenge and I'm already looking forward to further improving my skills!

The most paedagogic coding class! I really like how every complex concept is broken down into simple language, with concrete examples. By so doing, everyone can learn coding! Great introductory course! I learned a ton! I went into this course knowing absolutely nothing. I feel a lot more confident. I plan on taking more courses with SheCodes in the future. The assignments really forced me to stay on track and complete all of the lessons. I liked the pace of the course and the videos that Matt provides for each lesson. Overall, I would definitely recommend.
The SheCodes workshop was really well structured. I enjoyed doing the challenges after every lesson, so that I could directly put into practice what I had just learnt before. I've had so much fun working on this project! It has been a welcome creative output in between classes and exams. I'm very excited to use the tools I've learned and basic HTML, CSS and JS to create other projects in the future. As always, the instruction videos are wonderful, but for this project I've found the lovely support team on Slack to be especially helpful. The team at SheCodes were also very approachable to get extensions etc. during exam season.

This has been such a fun experience. I love getting so deep into learning and coding, that the time goes by so fast. I can spend all day doing this! Matt has also been such a great teacher and he makes everything so easy to learn.
I enjoyed 3 weeks of learning something new and challenging myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone. I am currently a law student aspiring to combine the field of law and tech and this course was a great way to start. It helped me to understand some of the basics of coding and whether this is something I envision myself doing in the future.

Having previously done a data and SQL course elsewhere, which I found too abstract, I decided to try front end so that I could see what I'd built. As a visual learner I've really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. I found the videos really helpful because I could see what things were supposed to look like, and also go back and re-watch things. I'm excited to start SheCodes Plus!

What an incredible experience! I knew very little about coding before I started SheCode Basics, but that wasn't a problem. Matt does an incredible job of breaking things down and explaining them in easy bite-sized videos so that you can learn slowly without getting overwhelmed. I loved every second of it and it was a HUGE confidence booster! I can't wait to continue on my coding journey.
So easy to follow along. I loved that I could just ask for help on the slack community when I got stuck. My main thing is I learn best in a classroom setting because I can have direct contact with a professor or a TA to help me out. It's not the same as being in a classroom but it's definitely better than learn on your own without someone to help you out.
I've always thought of myself as a humanities person, was never very strong in Math or Science, and had myself convinced that coding was just beyond my ability. This year I decided to try a few things that truly intimidated me and coding was at the top of the list. After attending Matt's free 1-hour intro, I felt like he was someone with a style and approach I could learn from. His pace is great, he explains things clearly, and maintains the perfect level of enthusiasm. I've just finished the 3-week Basics package and am heading to the next level.
I'm from Atlanta, Ga 24 years old and I am actually just coming back to technology. For half a year in 2021 I was in the CCC doing trail maintenance. I had no technology around me but I had time to think about what I wanted to learn and do and to try to see if coding is right for me. I am glad to say I will be moving forward with my education on this. Thankyou SheCodes for giving me this opportunity.
SheCodes made coding achievable by breaking it down into smaller parts. You learn a part, practice your new skill and build on it with each lesson. There are also lots of resources available to help you, and the instructors are always there to help when needed.

I had a lot of fun with SheCodes Plus! The way the course is organized into weekly challenges helped to keep me motivated without making me feel overwhelmed. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I feel like this experience has made coding a lot more accessible to me.

This coding workshop was exciting as I could not wait for the next lesson and to build my final project afterwards. Really enjoyed SheCodes, it was my first real experience of coding, the videos and lessons were clear and easy to understand. Challenges were helpful for putting the theory into practice in short bursts. I was really surprised by how quickly I picked things up and was able to understand the different coding languages, it was a real confidence boost. The final project was an opportunity to play around with coding and be creative, and put a little of my personality into the code. Would definitely recommend and I hope to be able to join a more advanced class and keep learning and building my coding skills.
Initially, I thought IT technology or programming was far beyond my dream. I badly wanted to learn coding but was not sure where and how to start. When I saw my brother coding, I used to get frustrated thinking that I was so laid back and unknowledgeable in the filed of IT development. I was admittedly a bit skeptical at first, but I'm now left pleasantly surprised! Matt's explanations of the basics have filled in the gaps in my prior studies, which I'm really happy about. He seems to know how to go into just the right amount of detail without going overboard. Attention to detail can even be felt in the UI/UX of the SheCodes site itself, which contributes to an effective learning environment. I've worked in other coding communities, but I've not felt as safe, relaxed, comfortable and motivated in learning to code as I do here, particularly thanks to the fact that it's not male dominated. Thanks very much to Matt and the SheCodes team! I'm looking very forward to knocking out the rest of the workshops 💪

This course made coding seem very easy and fun for a complete beginner. I also really loved the support I got when I had a question or needed help. I got the answers really quickly (sometimes within five minutes!). Everybody is very nice and helpful, so this felt like a safe environment to learn!
SheCodes has allowed me to discover and develop my love of coding. The structure and collective style of learning promotes community and also establishes a great behavior of sourcing solutions in alternative ways. I look forward to moving onto the next level of workshops.

This is class is pretty challenging, but I learned a lot in the process due to how well the instructor explains everything. Had so much fun!
I found the lessons easy to follow and the challenges were my favourite part. It's easy to learn quickly when you implement what you've been taught immediately after learning it.
This workshop was very interesting and educational, I've learned a lot of things that were new to me. Sometimes I would feel overwhelmed by all the new information that I was receiving but with patience and with support from the other students I've made it and I'm so happy. The workshop is easy to understand but difficult because you need to put effort in it, if you don't then it's hard to get better.
