Taking the SheCodes React course was both a challenging and rewarding experience. Compared to the previous SheCodes workshops, this one definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. It took me longer to complete because I really needed to take the time to wrap my head around the new concepts I was learning. I often found myself seeking help from other resources to reinforce what I was being taught. That said, Matt did an excellent job guiding me through the course materialโhis teaching style remained clear and supportive, even when the content became more complex. Overall, Iโm proud of how far Iโve come and grateful for the solid foundation in React that this course gave me.

The course was great and I learned a lot. I like the elegance of this language a lot compared to javascript. Having said that: getting locked out of Replit all the time because of the limited developer time was super annoying. I created a workaround for it and i hope something like that will be added in the future. This would have been 5 stars otherwise.
Before joining SheCodes, I had taken some programming courses, but I had never worked on front-end development. This experience completely changed that I truly enjoyed building a website from scratch! A big thank you to SheCodes and Matt Delac for making learning so engaging and accessible. I'm definitely looking forward to joining another class soon!
I absolutely enjoyed that not only is this course self-paced but that I continue to have access to past workshops and lessons completed to reference. As I worked on completing the project for the Basic Add-on (and introduction to Front End), I truly enjoyed learning how coding works and the possibilities of what coding can do. I'm not as timid when I continue onto the next course of Front End.

SheCodes gave me the confidence and skills to build real-world projects from scratch using vanilla JavaScript. Working on my weather app, I learned how to fetch live data from APIs, manipulate the DOM dynamically, and structure clean, responsive UIs with just HTML, CSS, and JSโno frameworks needed. I've done the AI Plus course before this one, so it wasn't the first time I played around with the AI API. Combining that knowledge with the Python I've learned so far made the integration process easier. The SheCodes Responsive Add-on workshop is one of my favourite workshops! I had a great time working on the project and learned that you can create a stunning and fully responsive landing page using just HTML and CSS. Overall, this workshop built my confidence in creating my own projects!
This is such a great workshop for beginners in tech. I love the fact that as much as it was a workshop for beginners it was not easy, there were a few challenges in between however the best way to learn is through a challenge. I also love the fact that this workshop teaches you how to find a solution to a problem you might have on your own instead of seeking help first. Yes, help is needed at times but being able to be self-sufficient and a little independent helps a lot. The lessons were great because they were short, straight to the point and very valuable.

Building this project entirely from scratch without relying on Bootstrap or any UI framework was challenging and incredibly rewarding. I dove deep into responsive design, hand-coding every layout, grid, and media query to ensure the site looks great on any screen. From crafting fluid CSS grids for image galleries to embedding custom Instagram layouts and fine-tuning typography, I learned how much control and flexibility you gain when you roll up your sleeves and write your own CSS. Seeing the site come together, fully responsive, visually consistent, and performant, gave me a huge boost of confidence in my front-end skills. This project pushed me to think critically about design patterns and taught me valuable lessons in maintainability and scalability. Iโm proud of what I built and excited to apply these techniques in future web projects.
