The workshop helped me a lot to understand the basis of coding. All the information I learnt is very useful and I'm excited to continue my coding journey with SheCodes.
I majored in English and creative writing in college, going off the notion that I'm a predominantly right-brained individual. Never did I expect a well-placed ad for a free introductory coding course to help awaken my dormant left brain! SheCodes made the seemingly esoteric completely accessible to me. It re-ignited my passion for world-building and opened my eyes to a beautiful new way to understand and approach our digital universe. Not only did Matthue and the SheCodes team gird me with the foundation for an invaluable set of skills, but they also empowered me to keep at my learning, to lean on a community of like-minded go-getters, and to persevere through the tougher moments of frustration. I've not felt this excited to explore and expand my mind in so long, and I can't thank (or recommend) SheCodes enough!
I loved learning React! I struggled a bit first learning Javascript, but for some reason React clicked a lot easier. The challenges and homework assignments will give you lots of practice writing the code out and Matt explains things in-depth. I'm sad this is my last course for SheCodes!! If there are ever any more courses, I will definitely sign up!

As I continue each program with SheCodes, I surprise myself with the amount I have learned and what I can do on my own. What used to look like hieroglyphics to me is now something I can easily read and understand. I am really proud of this weather app and I can't wait to continue my studies!

This was an amazing learning experience. I loved learning how to code and I will continue learning more. I was nervous that it would be hard but its actually a lot of fun when you know the basics and you can put together something as fun as your own website
So, this was kinda nuts. For me, the workshop amounted to a full-time job with overtime. It was HARD and rewarding learning so many new things. I'm proud of myself for persevering. I hope to retain more advanced concepts as well as gain confidence in the next two workshops. And I'm definitely looking forward to Responsive so I can make my Plus final project mobile friendly.

I must say... in the last 3 weeks I have learned so much from Matt Delac! I did not know where to even begin with coding. As a professional programmer with an I.T. degree, I really enjoyed this class. I never learned React.js in college and I am trying to shift my career from networking into front-end development. I really wanted to master React in a way that was easy to understand. I feel like this class would be beneficial to both mid-level beginners and professional programmers because the lectures are laid out in a very clear and concise manner. The step-by-step videos laid out the puzzle that made everything come together in the end. Thank you for all you do, Matt.
Before SheCodes, learning to code never seemed attainable to me. SheCodes made it possible. Now that I have completed the final workshop, I will definitely miss SheCodes but I am excited to now take the knowledge Iβve gained and turn it into a career that Iβm passionate about.

This workshop was great! I already had experience with HTML and CSS but hadn't learned much Javascript and I was able to easily learn it in just 1 week! Matt has a very clear teaching style yet keeps things short and simple and to the point which I love and the SheCodes community and extra resources make it very easy to get quick answers and a strong understanding of the course materials. 10/10!
It was a super useful workshop, and I really enjoyed learning more about responsive development. Building a website is something that I couldn't have imagined doing a few weeks ago. But here I am, finished a functional website. Even if it's a very simple one and not perfect yet, but I'll get there βΊοΈ

Wow.. such a rollercoaster! I started this workshop last year, but couldn't finish since I was battling my own demons.. Now, healthier and stronger, I came back. Making my own portfolio was very challenging.. Had to use all the techniques I have learned already from previous workshops but no worries! I have been interested in tech and coding for quite some time. However, I always thought you had to be a math whiz to be successful. Matthieu was very quick to debunk that myth in his free coding session. Suddenly, I didn't have any reason not to give it a try. I have enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS so much! I'm really glad I made the decision to give it a try. I'll be continuing on with the SheCodes courses and will be a React Developer soon enough.
For me, the course was informative and interesting. And most importantly, I got rid of the fear of trying to learn something new, which previously seemed very difficult to me. A big plus is that there are challenges that make you think and make decisions on your own.
The workshop was challenging but extremely worth while once it clicks and you're able to write your code with little assistance. The break down of the lessons by Matt, followed by the assignments to practice and cement what you learn is great. Iβve always tinkered around with coding through blogging and watching courses on YouTube. However, I had some free time in the summer and decided to sit down and do an actual course. I loved that this course was indeed intended for beginners. Doing the challenges not only helped me to understand the concept of what I was doing and more importantly, why I was doing it. My favorite part was learning about CSS and styling.
It's a great chance for me to get acquainted with the coding and to learn so many things. SheCodes is amazing! π€

I am grateful for the opportunity to take a training course at SheCodes. The learning process divided into weekly blocks is very convenient. The lectures are thought out, detailed, and not overloaded with complex information. There are homework assignments. At the end of the course, there is a small project. All this is really done for a beginner. I would like to continue!

Enjoyed this Plus course a lot! I was excited to build my own weather application and am definitely proud of the result. You learn a lot of advanced stuff during this course and it can be pretty overwhelming at times, but it definitely helps when Matt reasures you to just take your time and most importantly to have fun. I never thought I would love to learn how to code so much! I went to college for healthcare and slowly realized I'm burnt out and immediately knew I had to change something or do something that can be so fun and rewarding. I was looking online trying to see what kind of remote work I could do and as I was searching on YouTube I came upon an ad about SheCodes and what really drew me in was that it was all women! I did the info session with Matt and I fell so in love with the idea that this is actually a thing! Don't get me wrong, I knew it was a thing but to know theres a community of women on the same boat as me wanting to try something knew really excited me! I was nervous and at times, I did get frustrated a few times because I just felt like I wasn't getting it quick enough like everyone else. But Matt's videos are so well explained and the resources and information he gives are so reassuring and easy to follow that I'm so excited to learn more!

I had a blast working on the dictionary app. I will say building the weather app in React definitely helped me build confidence going into the dictionary app. It was so cool to see how breaking down each part of the dictionary into different components could make your code much easier to read and build. I can say I'm definitely a fan of React and I look forward to learning and using it more!
