At first I thought I wouldn't be capable of learning how to code, but throughout the workshop I always felt that Matt was encouraging and I never felt bad if I didn't understand something. I can't believe how much I learned in such a short amount of time!
Learning to code from scratch surprised me because I never imagined it would be so easy. I enjoyed the course and did not realize the time had passed when I was coding. This course gave me a lot of confidence and made me eager to participate in the next courses as well.
This is one of the most accessible coding programs out there, and I'm so grateful for everything I've been able to learn through these workshops.

This workshop was definitely more challenging, working with React was awkward at first but it presents the code in a simpler and "cleaner" way! I could see that we can learn something new, such as coding (that seems impossible to learn at the first sight) but I know I still have a lot more to learn, it's a whole world that I don't know half of yet! In the end, it was fun and I learned a lot! Thank you SheCodes and Matt!
SheCodes has provided a strong self-paced fundamentals course that dives you straight into the world of coding! It's a course where they've cut out all the fat, allowing you to have hands-on learning from the get-go. I love how thorough, yet easy it was to follow along. Definitely a great course for anyone thinking of learning to code!
Love that the lessons are broken down into small pieces. Makes learning and retaining the information a lot easier than other courses!

This has been a challenging experience. It's been great learning different ways of doing things in JS.
I enjoyed learning on SheCodes, it was challenging but I liked how I gained new skills and was able to make a website with the step-by-step explanation of all the videos provided. This is a great way to embark your journey on becoming a professional web developer, I highly recommend it if you are a complete beginner and new to coding!

I'm loving SheCodes! It's a very hands-on workshop. It's very exciting to see things happening as you learn how to program. I definitely recommend it. Also, the staff is really helpful on Slack.
I've always hesitated to try to learn code because it seemed daunting and something I did not know I would enjoy. However, with SheCodes, I've found a new appreciation for learning languages such as Java and HTML. This program and the team behind it are full of people who are always more than happy to help you through your work and adjust if you fall behind. I have a busy schedule as a current student but following the SheCodes program never proved to be a hassle to finish nor a strain on my ongoing schoolwork. I love this program and it is a decision I will continuously thank myself for following through with. I cannot wait to keep going.
I completed SheCodes Basic back in August and finished wanting more. I finally decided to continue learning and began SheCodes Plus at the beginning of this year. I am eager to continue learning and seeing progress each week.

Hello world! I just wrapped up my course with SheCodes and enjoyed learning the basics of coding. This course gives great insight and helps you understand why you are doing what you're doing. Great introduction to coding!! Matt is a great instructor, he teaches in a way that leaves you confident about the information you're learning. INSTANT switch from that "can I do this?" mindset to "I can TOTALLY do this!" It had it's moments but I loved the challenge and learning something new.
It's been great learning how to code from Matt. I feel like I've learned more from Matt than from some of the coding courses that I had to take for university. The weather app has been really fun to learn (frustrating at times) but I look forward to going back to learn it again from Matt and personalizing my weather app better for my portfolio. I truly recommend anyone who is interested in coding or wants to be better at it. I am booked in for the SheCodes Plus React next and I cannot wait already! Thanks so much, Matt and his team!
Basic course was a great refresher as I have taken CS classes in the past. A little bit fast pace but multiple resources to help if you are ever lost. Excited to learn more advance coding!! (:

As a beginner coder, this course was great for me to get stuck into the world of coding. You are not only able to learn when and where you like but you also have several accountability partners that are willing to push you along the way. Matt speaks clearly throughout all videos to ensure you understand all topics covered.
This is such a great workshop to take if you want your websites to look good on smaller screens. I loved the videos as we built a multi-page website together. I learned what a good work process is like and it helped me develop my own work style.

Proud of how much I was able to learn despite the stigma of how difficult coding appears to be to the untrained eye. I have dabbled in teaching myself HTML and CSS in the past, but I have NEVER learned as much about them as I have in this course. What a great course it was! Again and again, SheCodes proves me that I can learn things I didn't think were possible for me to absorb. And the process is so fun!
This workshop pushed me to constantly reflect on and improve my code. When building the weather app, you get the chance to go beyond the project requirements and use some of the coding techniques you learn during the workshop to code features that aren't required like a location button, a unit converter, a timezone-accurate time display and more! Coding these features by myself without being able to rely on Matt's vanilla code helped me learn how to create and use my own functions.
I learned so much during this React course and worked on two amazing projects (The dictionary and weather app), I would recommend this course for anyone who is really interested in coding.
This course brought out the inner nerd in me and I LOVED IT! With coding, I finally feel like I have a creative outlet that also has structure, black and white guidelines that I can follow. I took this course as a motivator to brush up on my coding, and to build a good base to study new languages. Within a few days, this course helped me build upon my prior knowledge, and made the first steps to learning Javascript very straightforward!
