I can't recommend this program enough. I hadn't coded anything since editing my MySpace profile's HTML, and this course has taught me more in three weeks than I ever thought possible. Matt is an incredible instructor, and João answered every last one of my questions on the Slack chat. I recommend this for anyone and everyone who has ever wanted to learn more about coding and is intimidated about it or who needs something that works in a busy schedule. As someone with no background in coding, except my curiosity, this course was the perfect choice. I'm so happy I took the chance. My bachground is in health and management, and I find learning these skills will not only help me boost my carrer but also pursue some dreams of my own in the area of web design and web development.

Coding was something I never thought I would really enjoy. But when I took a python class in high school and started getting interested in coding. I decided to try the SheCodes course because I really wanted to learn how websites are made and I am really glad I did. This course gave me the necessary skills to be able to create my own blog in the future which I definitely will. I highly recommend the course to anyone who is a beginner or has even the most basic knowledge in the field of coding (like myself). The short and understandable classes are taught by the wonderful instructor Matt and his team are very helpful on Slack. I am glad to have done this course! It was really worth it!

I learned a lot from this workshop. There was a lot of support for when one gets stuck, and Matt's videos were easy to follow. I liked that they were short and got straight to the point. I have always been intimidated by coding, as it seemed like such a complicated thing to understand. However, from this workshop I realized I am capable of grasping new concepts around this subject and it has encouraged me to take it forward and learn some more. I came across SheCodes through a youtube advert and it was perfecting timing because I was curious to see what coding was all about. I attended Matt's free intro webinar and I was really amazed by how much coding is used on the internet! I was quite hesitant to book a beginner's course because I didn't know if I would finish it but I don't regret it. SheCodes makes learning to code fun and enjoyable. It was quite exciting. The thrill of learning to create something from scratch will never get old. Although the frustration when nothing seems to work is real; but the exhilaration when you figure out how to make it run properly and why it wasn't working previously might just get you dancing. 😂

I enjoyed the Workshop course more than I ever could have imagined and cannot wait to continue my coding journey. The course is engaging and immersive, both an absolute must for me when learning online. Matt does a wonderful job explaining the concepts and language of coding clearly while not spoon-feeding the information. It was very fulfilling to be given the tools to discover and create on my own. Kudos to the support staff on Slack as well. They are extremely attentive to student's questions and problems. I tried a number of different resources over the past few years attempting to learn to code, and had almost decided to just give up because nothing made sense and I thought I just wasn't smart enough to understand it. Very well taught and fun! I used to think coding was out of the question for me, as I have some trouble learning. In SheCodes I found an organized and clear way of teaching I could actually get along with, that kept me motivated!
I am so happy I decided to continue on my SheCodes journey. SheCodes Plus was challenging in the best way possible. The lessons and online support from the Intro workshop are still there to guide you, but this course really forces you to step up the pace and step outside your comfort zone. I can't believe how much I learned in 8 weeks.
I loved the class, luckily I had taken a couple others before this one, so I followed along a little easier with some of the sections. You definitely have to be a fast learner to keep up. This class was a lot of fun, I and enjoyed all the hands on workshops, with easy access to help if I needed it.
I had a blast and learned a lot! I feel confident in moving on to harder and longer courses to improve my skills and look for work!

I'm a high school student and given that I had no prior knowledge or experience with coding or HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I expected to be drowning in work by the end of the first week. Needless to say, that was not the case! This workshop is perfect for anyone who has an interest in learning a new skill and is willing to put in the work!

Aside from dabbling in a few free apps, I had never coded before trying this course. I wasn't sure where to start. This course has proved the perfect introduction, and I feel fortunate to have found it. There is a great balance between teaching and having to put your learning into practice, and really interesting and useful introductions to 'thinking like a developer': using developer tools, learning to find good sources of information when you don't know something, and working solutions out for yourself. Highly recommend this course. It is easy but not simple, it has the right pace of learning and teaching and doing. It does everything you need in order to start from scratch and really feel you have learned something.
I really enjoyed this workshop! I believe it is very good to learn step by step, therefore i found great the idea to have short videos explaining one Topic, after to have a practical exercise and finally get an explanation/potential solution of.
I believe learning to code will bring your career one step further, especially as a graphic designer. It should feel totally amazing when you could bring your designs to life. SheCodes really help me to understand coding in the most simple way and it doesn't necessarily have to take too much of your time to learn!💜

I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!

SheCodes Plus was a great next step for learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The weekly challenges and homework were not easy but were broken down into digestible pieces, and I was able to successfully complete the workshop during weekends and after work. Matt provides really clear and concise recorded lessons with follow-up videos to walk you through each challenge and assignment's recommended solution. If more guidance is ever needed, additional help is always available over Slack. I do not have a math or programming background, yet I was able to grasp the concepts and after completing the weather app project, I feel more confident in my understanding and ability to read and create code to build useful applications. I recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has completed the 3-week introduction workshop, and wants to learn more!
I can't believe after three weeks I made a website from scratch! 🙀 The classes were broken down into bite-size pieces that gave you just the right amount of information to digest and were supplemented with a challenge problem to practice and solidify the knowledge. Every lessons builds on topics learned previously so you feel very prepared to tackle the homework at the end of each week. The final project was a culmination of everything learned previously. Great class to take if you want to learn the basics of coding without ever being bored.
The course is very well paced and Matt is a great instructor. Learning react is challenging but also very fun once you start getting the hang of it. You can always re watch the lessons if you didn't understand something and ask for help if you get stuck. This course is perfect for React beginners and I definitely recomment taking it if you like coding.
I totally enjoyed the workshop! Matt's classes made it possible to recall things I learned 12 years ago and still to learn new skills. It was better than I expected and I can't wait to start the Plus workshop :)

SheCodes makes its easier to learn the basics of Web Development. It also offers 24 hour help through Slack and some exercises so that you wont forget what you just learned. It also gives you some challenges and makes you think a bit for logical resolutions. I finished the first workshop in 3 days but they give you 3weeks so you can learn at your pace. Just pay attention to the deadlines! :D

I was always intimidated by coding. I didn't understand why people enjoyed spending hours at a computer, and the words they were writing did not make sense to me. However, I became very intrigued by coding because I knew that it is really useful to learn. SheCodes gave me the confidence to code! The lessons taught were fun and easy to follow. I now understand how coders can spend hours at their computers--they are doing work that they love! This is definitely a course for anyone and everyone to try. You won't be disappointed! 😊

Prior to becoming a 7th-grade math teacher, I had a split second dream of working for Pixar. I had the math, all that I needed was the coding. I tried to learn on my own, but finding solutions to problems along the way itself was an obstacle. Several years have passed and I still had an interest in coding - that's when SheCodes came along. The tutorial videos along with actual personal assistance, if needed, are all well implemented and was exactly what I was looking for to get my feet wet. SheCodes was an awesome experience. After the SheCode weekend I got the code bug and wanted to learn more about it and more techniques. SheCodes Plus was the way to go, the classes are easy to follow, and you can watch them and work on your project in your own pace, which is great. Matt has the ability of explaining something complicated in the easiest way and has an incredible team working with him to ensure that every student feels welcomed and get help if necessary. It was a great experience, really fit people with no coding background at all.
I was a bit disappointed that the course would be online. But after I started, I realize that the videos and explanations were very clear and the course was easy to follow. It was a great way to refresh my knowledge about HTML and JavaScript and to learn some basic of CSS and how to code in Visual Studio Code.
