The SheCodes Basics course was immensely fun and educational! I enjoyed learning the fundamentals of HTML + CSS + Javascript, and liked that there was an ordered structure to the learning process, whilst being able to practice our new skills systematically. Thanks SheCodes!

SheCodes Basics was a good start as I am a beginner at coding. I'm a visual learner, and Matt made it easy, as the videos explained step by step.

My best friend had recently begun to learn coding and I was excited for her but also not super familiar with what that meant as a career path. I happened across the free coding class from SheCodes and I was intrigued, if only to get a better understanding of what my friend is learning. The class really opened my eyes to what learning coding can do for a career pivot, especially for women. I decided to try the SheCodes basics course and I'm so excited to learn more! This platform really takes away the intimidation factor that I think scares away a lot of people. I have never considered myself a math or tech savvy person. This course has helped me focus on digesting the concepts, rather than getting caught up in self-conscious anxiety about whether I have enough technical understanding to do this. I also love that this course includes lots of challenges and projects that get the learner actively using the skills that are being taught. I also love that there is reliable online support to turn to when you get stuck and need help! This course has been so amazing and I love telling my other female friends about it in case they want to try it.

SheCodes made learning something new fun! Now I feel more confident in my abilities I as I continue to study code!

This was a fun and easy way to learn basic coding. If you have no idea if you'd even like coding this is a wonderful and quick way to find out. Personally, I had a blast.

I enjoyed learning with SheCodes and how each lesson allowed me to immediately apply what I learned. While the lessons were easy to follow, there was a lot of information that provided me many tools to ultimately develop and customize my own website.

I enjoyed SheCodes Plus and the process of developing the skills to create a fully-functioning weather app! I learned so much in the last 8 weeks and I am excited to continue to advance my coding knowledge!

SheCodes definitely has helped me learn more about coding and has broadened my interest in learning more about more advanced skills. It's awesome to learn something completely new and I am excited about the opportunities that may come from this.

SheCodes is a wonderful introduction to the world of coding if you have ever wanted to learn how. The weekly lessons are easy to follow and the challenges are fun to complete. SheCodes Basic was an excellent way to brush up on my rusty skills while also learning new and valuable techniques!

I needed to learn some basic–moderate coding for work and this program was perfect. Instruction was clear and peers and SheCodes staff was helpful when I needed help.

I've been meaning to prioritise learning to code since 2016, and starting this course has made it actually happen - within 3 weeks. The way the classes are narrated and the accompanying videos and challenges just ... work ... Learning is fun and the deadlines and additional resources really help. Absolutely loved this workshop. When I was in high school (twenty years ago!), I took a couple web development classes and would spend hours after school creating web pages and graphics. I knew I loved creating things for the web, but always did it on the side as more of a hobby since my career was in education. I had been wanting to brush up on my skills for a while, and knew there were a bunch of workshops out there. I picked SheCodes because of the way Matt emphasized that this should be fun...and it was! I've loved seeing how front end development has changed since I first learned and also learning new tools like Visual Studio Code. Thank you for helping me re-learn how to build fun things!

This was a great introduction to coding! I learned so much in 3 weeks. The classes were very organized and easy to follow. Matt does a great job explaining the process and the reasoning behind everything we learned.

The course was great fun! I had no previous experience of coding but was able to follow the lessons with no problems. Finishing the final project was very satisfying and it made me want to learn more!

I am so happy to have taken this workshop. It adds value to what I have learn so far with coding. It was very important to learn Responsive because many people access the internet on mobile devices. As a graphic designer it is important to me to keep in mind what and how we view websites.

Honestly, I was a bit nervous about taking this course, thinking I wouldn't understand a thing. Incredibly, I learned a lot, and I'm thinking about making it a career. I am thinking about applying to the pro course once I have the money.

I found out that you can learn to code regardless of your background by going to SheCodes for me, which is an amazing online resource. I've been trying to learn how to properly code for a while, and I have tried quite few beginner courses. SheCodes basics was by far the best. Matt really breaks down every topic in a way that is easily understandable. I truly enjoyed all the challenges and homework. I'm really looking forward to my next workshops 🎉.

This has been an uneasy but gratifying path. I have certainly learned a lot and become much better-organised with my code. Most importantly, I have widened my coding knowledge base to the extent that I never thought I would. This course has been wonderful! It was so clear and every question I had was answered in great detail. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who's interested in learning to code. If you're a little apprehensive, not to worry! This course is not pressured in the slightest, it give you plenty of flexibility and help if you need it.

That was an incredible experience for me. I'm very happy that women are becoming more and more visible in this field, where gender discrimination is most prevalent. I want to thank the SheCodes team and especially Matt Delac, who made me love programming. It was a very well-organized and fun learning process. My advice to anyone wondering if I can do it: Don't wait and get involved in the process.

Fun workshop and the format is easy to follow. The self-pacing works really well, as it allowed me to set my own learning schedule to balance with other priorities like work and family.

It was great to learn a new skill - Matt goes through the stages with lots of explanation and easy to follow steps. I am highly impressed with the quality of the workshops and the amount that you learn in the three weeks, highly recommend!

I really loved participating in the workshop. It's easy to follow along and divided into good portions, so you don't get too overwhelmed with the input you're getting. The homework at the end of each week are really quite challenging, but definitely fun to do some research on your own and come up with solutions. I really liked building my own landing page in the end and am quite proud of what I've learned so far. Can't wait to learn more about coding.

I learned so much in such a short amount of time, and I had the opportunity to create a project that suites my own interests. The guidance provided throughout this workshop has been so helpful and creates a wonderful sense of community despite this being an online workshop.

It was an incredible learning experience. Good content and good workload for those like me who have to reconcile with their professional life.

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to try their hand at coding. It's a lot of fun to be able to build something from scratch and immediately see the result. Matt explains what he's doing step by step and if you ever get stuck while you're coding you can just hop on to the Slack platform and ask for help. I'm excited to learn more!

I love puzzles and I genuinely love learning so when I found out about SheCodes, I had to sign up! I material is not easy but Matt does a great job of breaking it into smaller parts & challenges so that you can really take it one step at a time. I am enjoying this process so much! One of the best courses I've ever taken so far. So easy to understand and I felt fully supported along the way, I really appreciate the toolset that SheCodes has given us all. I also appreciate the encouragment to learn how to troubleshoot, this gave me a whole new sense of confidence.

Its a good course on how to make your websites responsive. Leant a lot in this module. Its been challenging and has a deep learning curve but overall its been fun learning.

I loved it! I learned a lot than I did in my University coding classes.

Everything is really well explained. Everyone has been super helpful. The weather app project was a great challenge. I learned a lot.

This was an enjoyable experience! I didn't realize how much I had learned or how much I would understand at the end. This made starting the project a daunting task to me. Once I started my project, I realized I recognized a lot more code as I was putting together different elements and working through trail and error. It was fun to see that I was able to create so much and it's only been a few weeks!

Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, and can't wait to apply what I learned. Looking forward to starting the other workshops!!!

When it comes to learning how to code, Matt is that person-he's skillful, humble, passionate, teaching from personal experience, and excited to show you the way. Matt and his team teach and help you learn and improve your coding skills, not just during the bootcamp, but beyond!

Coding has always seemed very daunting to me, but the SheCodes basics course was the perfect introduction to coding. While there is a lot of information to take in, it's explained in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming. Having challenges based on the information you learn from a lesson is a great way to apply what you've just learned & helps it make sense in the bigger picture of coding.

The 3 week SheCodes course was the perfect introduction to the coding world! I was able to complete the lessons at my own pace and Matt's explanations were easy to understand. Although I have a lot more to learn, I feel like this course was a great foundation of knowledge.

I started SheCodes Basic just over a week ago and was having so much fun learning that I completed the course way too fast! I had never coded before and now I just built myself a cute little website for my final project! I was amazed at how much information I had retained so quickly and how naturally I was able to make my ideas come to life! I really had fun building my own project from scratch following the instructions in SheCodes Basics workshop. The course is interactive and easy to follow, and let you eager to learn more about more complex JavaScript functions and more!

Im so glad to have done the SheCodes basic workshop. I had no coding background prior to doing this workshop, and I was worried that I will have difficulty understanding the workshop. However, all the lessons are very detailed and easy to understand, and the course allows me to go at my own pace, which is very helpful to me. If I have any questions, I can easily ask it on slack and my queries will be answered in just a few hours. If you are a beginner to coding and you are interested in learning how to code, SheCodes is the perfect program.

I enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. Matt has a good way of explaining. He takes a bit of a bird's eye approach to explain the basics and gives you plenty of space to figure things out, learn, and experiment with your code. I definitely had fun while learning. SheCodes was one of the best decisions I've made in advancing my career. Although I've only completed the first course so far, I'm looking forward to learning more and hopefully getting a job as a junior developer. The instructions are extremely detailed and easy to understand, and the course allows you to go at your own pace, which was helpful for me, because, in addition to my full-time job, I'm in school working on my bachelor's degree too. If you're interested in learning how to code, SheCodes is the perfect program.

I'm not one to sit for hours and study, but this is different. You get a bunch of short videos and then homework about that video, what makes it so more fun to learn and better to absorb all that new information. I'm really glad I took this course and you should too!

Lessons were thorough and worked for my busy schedule! I was able to learn the basics of coding without needing to pay a lot of money and Matt goes at a pace that makes it easier to understand. Assignments were fun and this made me feel like coding can be enjoyable!
