SheCodes was a very intense learning experience! Not only did we learn about coding but also about the web development world. Now I know new skills and even know where to find more information. I can't wait to learn more about coding!
SheCodes was a great experience. Matt is such a good, patient teacher; he constructed the whole workshop in a very fun and engaging way. I'd definitely recommend this workshop to any woman with a weekend to spare and some curiosity about this male dominated area. When I started this workshop I didn't know anything about code. Matt managed to explain everything in a very approachable, sucint and humored way. The fact that we made many exercises helped me a lot to apply the knowledge recently acquired. What a life changing moment! This course was a great learning experience: I had never code before and it is amazing to check what I was able to create, after only 2 days of workshop. The workshop was very cool. Not only you learn how to code in three different languages, but you also learn the appropriate terminology, a little bit of the history behind coding, resources coders use, and how it is to work in the world of code. Also, Matt is a good lecturer - he's honest, funny, knows what to say in order for you to understand what you are doing and puts up exercises for you to practice what you learned. I definitely recommend it!
SheCodes proofed me it is possible to start coding without going back to university. In a very intense 2-days-course people are able to develop competences of basic web development. It gave me confidence to continue learning by myself and I believe that this will be enriching for my career.

First you learn about HTML and CSS, following by JavaScript. I always wanted to learn more about JavaScript, because it's one of the most popular programming languages. I had a great experience and learned a lot about the 3 programming languages though. I do advise every girl to take the course because it's really helpful. At least for me it was, now I understand the "programming" conversations around me at work and am able to participate in a constructive way in those conversations.

I came to this workshop with a little bit of fear inside my heart, doubting I'd be able to go through it, since coding always seemed like such an unattainable task.
