"SheCodes" is a good intensive workshop to learn some basics of HTML, Javascript and CSS! By being a project manager from the economic area and not knowing if, in fact, and if in the future, I will make some front end developer work, one thing I am sure: In the present, I will understand better my IT colleagues! In the end of the day, this course was worth every penny!
I came to this workshop with a little bit of fear inside my heart, doubting I'd be able to go through it, since coding always seemed like such an unattainable task. After SheCodes I can say that everything changed. Matt was amazing and was able to teach us with great aptitude and talent and the course is great at introducing us to the basics. I left the workshop uplifted and with a new goal in my life: to keep learning how to code, because it is fun and challenging! I recommend this to anyone, but especially to those that feel that programming is not for you. SheCodes will change your mind!
It's amazing how much we have learned in such short period of time, this curse was challenging but it gave us the ability to start developing tools and with that see results. Matt was an incredible teacher. I recommend this course, for everyone who are interesting in programing.
I chose to attend SheCodes because I wanted to learn more about code, especially JavaScript and was having a tough time doing it by myself. It is an amazing way to understand if you enjoy coding, giving you the tools to further explore this field. This two days gave me the opportunity to learn about coding in "hands-on" very interactive workshop. I was able to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself, which is always a great thing. SheCodes Plus has been amazing. In such a short period of time, I had the chance to adquire technical knowledge and valuable coding skills. It has been challenging, but with a high satisfaction return when putting together all I learnt and making my first web app working! Lessons were always stimulating and, together with the enthusiasm shared by the other girls, always fun! Thanks a lot for everything!
SheCodes Plus helped me to understand how developers think about problems and taught me the language that they use to go about solving them. This course has enabled me to have conversations with developers that are informed and efficient, exactly what a developer wants! I've learned a lot, but also learned more about what I don't know so that when I reach out for help, I know what I'm asking for, I have more realistic expectations for how long it will take (with ample time to fix bugs!) and we can all arrive at a better end product.
I found She Codes while I was looking for coding workshops and it was definitely the best option considering value for price. Additionally, I was stunned by how much I learned in such little time. Matt is a great teacher which also helped a lot for such a beginner like me with no coding or IT background whatsoever!
SheCodes was a fantastic opportunity to truly learn about the coding world and see results in a short amount of time. I've been interested in coding for a while, but until I learned about SheCodes, no other courses fit into/around everything else happening in my life. Especially since women aren't as strongly represented in STEM fields, this is a great first step to push me personally to bridge that gap in my career and other engagements. The course had an added benefit of meeting other women who are curious, engaged, and interested in growing professionally. I'm not entirely sure yet to what extent I will incorporate coding in my daily work and life, but I am sure that the skills I've learned in the past couple of months will be useful in many other ways as well - from communicating better with developers, to understanding, using, and analysing the data with which I work. I've walked away excited to learn more and to see in what way I can be part of the huge technological advances happening all around us.
This was a great opportunity to learn different aspects of coding. It was definitely worth it as I’m already using the skills I learned in my daily work life and for my own projects. It inspired me to learn more about React native, so I can build my own native apps. Thank you Matt for your patience and professionalism. SheCodes is a great choice for someone who wants to learn more about web development and coding, even if you are not certain if this is the path for you. We got to implement more of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and learn about the framework React, which for me was a totally new world that I enjoyed implementing in my project! The classes were demanding but engaging, and we got work tasks which were important to keep track of what we were learning. She Codes was the program that I needed to finally get back to coding and made me certain that this is the path that I would like to follow in the future.

My name is Maria Carolina and I am a master's student in management. I joined She Codes, first in the online session and was soon captivated. I joined the next live event and the experience was gratifying. I had no experience with programming languages and I feel that I learned the basics in a fun and didactic way. In the end I did a project about one of my passions where I put everything I learned into action, proving to myself that it is possible to learn the basics in one weekend. I think it's a great opportunity for all women who have an interest in this area.Matt is a great and fun teacher, I would really recommend it!

she codes was so inspiring, the weekend gave me confidence of a lifetime, that i actually do it. I gained so much knowledge in such a little time,it was quite intense but Matt made the learning easy and fun.
I have to confess I was a bit skeptical about learning coding and any programming language in only two days, but halfway through i got convinced that we could do amazing stuff on the SheCodes weekend. I tried to learn by myself before, there are a lot of theories about how and where we should start from, but none of them worked as efficient and quickly and Matt's way did. To combine the structural languages with a programming one, having people in the room to help you out is definitively the best way to do it if you don't have a clue of what you are doing. This said, obviously i am no master nor any of the girls who started with SheCodes workshop are (yet!), but now we have the basis to continue the work and to do it "our thing" if we decide so.
She Codes gave me the push I really needed to learn something I have always admired. Now all I want is to learn more, to find out more, to try more. The workshop is fast paced, super fun and if you don't end the two days exhausted but super thrilled, well, maybe coding isn't for you. She Codes is like opening the closet door that leads to Narnia. :)
I fell in love with coding when I first had a course on C programming in college (I'm a Biomedical Engineering student). After hearing about She Codes, I knew it was the right program for me, so I signed up. It was worth every single penny! I loved how much I learnt, how the workshop was organised, and I am looking forward to getting to extend my knowledge.

It's not every day that you leave everything behind to start learning something totally new. I did struggle to keep up at some point, but I managed to keep focus and positive about my learning process thanks to Matt exercises and also thanks to the stories he told us about his personal learning journey. When we start by learning alone, we always end up discouraging, and here is when She Codes has more value. I realized that it would be a plus have the opportunity to learn to program with Matt, someone experienced, who directs us and make everything much easier and faster. For sure, She Codes was the most intuitive and straightforward code-themed lessons I've ever had. Despite I've had web design and some other code learning environments back in school, I've never had such a fast and fun way of learning how to code.
