Before joining SheCodes, I had little to no experience in coding and always felt intimidated by the tech world. SheCodes made learning to code easy and fun. The lessons were well-structured, and the hands-on projects helped me gain confidence. The community support was also amazing! Thanks to SheCodes, I can now build responsive websites and understand basic coding logic. This experience has opened new career opportunities for me. I highly recommend SheCodes to any woman looking to break into tech. It's a life-changing experience!

It was a challenge to say the least but I've now built on my knowledge and can't wait to learn more!

Fun and Practical Learning

this React course captivated me from the start. As a newcomer to this library, I faced numerous challenges and made my share of mistakes, but each obstacle made the learning process incredibly rewarding. Completing the final project and seeing i function seamlessly was a testament to how much I've grown! I am eager to continue expanding my React skills and take on more complex projects in the future!

Learning React was a lot more difficult than expected. Matthew does explain that it is difficult but he moves too fast through out the React lessons anyways. I would like to add that I think the React lessons need a desperate update. The Node.js NMP download, has a lot of hurdles. I could not get VS code to work under NMP but Matthew uses Yarn. I decided after almost 3 weeks of failure, trying to use NMP in VS code to stop, restart and use Yarn and it finally worked. I did go to Slack for help but their solutions did not work for me, neither did Athena. Overall the React lessons were discouraging and I don't think I learned anything this time around.

SheCodes was great experience for me overall! The weekly format helped me keep on track with the lessons since I have a hard time finishing things without a deadline. The amount of lessons for each week was perfect for me personally and I was able to get through all the lessons and assignments in a timely manner, even with a full time job and a ton of overtime shifts. I plan on continuing to learn with SheCodes and look forward to developing my skills further!

The SheCodes Plus course, while challenging has been a whole learning experience. Thank you Matt and team, for your guidance and patience throughout the course. I can't believe that I built a whole weather app. Amazing stuff!!!!!

Participating in the SheCodes Responsive workshop was an incredibly valuable experience in my journey to becoming a developer. I thought the other SheCodes workshops were challenging - not till I started Responsive Add-On! The workshops are great. I enjoy coding and learning. I highly recommend trying it if you are thinking about being a front-end. Very challenge course but so important to learn

This was a fun little add-on, that built on and further advanced existing CSS, JavaScript and API skills we've learnt previously. I have been using the joke generator every morning in my team stand-ups!

I absolutely loved learning Python basics. It's an interesting and fun coding language that I highly recommend learning. I can't wait to see what Python Add-ons brings.

Such a great learning experience with mini challenges to check your learning along the way. Everything is explained in such an easy to understand way. Highly recommend!

I learned new things from the Plus workshops.

This workshop was incredibly helpful! I applied what I learned to built a fully responsive landing page improving my understanding. I feel much more confident in creating mobile-friendly websites now!

Building the Dictionary React project was an challenging learning experience! I worked with two different APIs which has helped improve my skills in API integration, dynamic rendering, and state management. I was also able to apply and reinforce my learnings in React development!

I am grateful that I have found a platform that allows me to learn something that can change the trajectory of my life in just a few months. Its very beginner friendly

This was a very good workshop to learn about Python. The material was completely new to me, but I never felt lost with how informative the lessons were.

The Responsive Workshop was both challenging and a good refresher on topics previously learnt in other workshops. It was exciting to learn how to make websites user friendly on different platforms.

SheCodes has been an amazing learning platform. You're allowed to work at your own pace most especially if you're already in a full time position and are trying to pivot. Deadlines are there to guide you and stay on track and the lessons are fun to learn and isn't like the boring lessons we'd have in varsity 😉. It really has been a journey but one that I don't regret!

It was good to learn

I've been a graphic designer for many years now and have always wanted to learn to code, but it seemed too daunting to get started - until now! Matt explains things in a way that's very easy to understand and the tasks helped reinforce learning along the way. I'm looking forward to continuing the next steps of my SheCodes education!

I enjoyed building on my existing skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Learning how to create a landing page with a light/dark theme, building grids using CSS and alternative background option like using an image or color gradients, as well as learning how to use JavaScript to minpulate HTML classes.

TRUELY the *BEST* online self-paced course I've ever taken. The teaching style is super easy to follow. I would highly recommend this platform for learning all things coding!

I have always had a passion for coding due to my elementary school teacher. He gave us a coding lesson during IT class but it wasn't from scratch we got to repeat his code but we were excited to create our website. Since then, I wanted to learn how to code but due to my family's financial background, I couldn't afford a laptop. But as I grew in my career, I got the opportunity to make my dreams come true, when I came across Shecodes, I learnt everything that I didn't understand from what my teacher taught me. Super fun to learn how to use AI

SheCodes Advanced Python workshop was a great follow on from the basics workshop! Matt's video tutorials were clear and easily digestible so following along and completing challenges were simple and fun to do. Throughout this course, I was given plenty of opportunities to practise coding with Python and the final project was exciting to see a real-life example of what I had learnt in action.

I have worked in the restaurant industry my whole career, currently a full-time manager. I want to learn and employ new skills to support my current position and try my hand in the coding/ ux/ui field.

In addition to learning to work with AI it was also nice to develop my knowledge about css and javascript further.

It was tough but with the help the I got from my teacher made my experiance more enjoyable. i still have alot to learn and Im excited to continue .

SheCodes is absolutely amazing and a very detailed but short way to learn coding. The lessons and challenges are fun and extend knowledge and understanding.
