I have really enjoyed the course, it has been challenging and frustrating at times but I'm so proud of the weather app I've managed to create. I had no knowledge of coding before SheCodes and I can't believe how much I've learned in such a short space of time. Thank you!
Joining SheCodes was the best decision I've made in quite some time. I was ready to challenge myself, learn something new, and change career paths but wasn't sure where to start. Matt makes learning these new skills so easy and fun. It's such a cool feeling when you discover another outlet for your creativity, and then see what you can accomplish! There's always been something about looking at code that made me want to learn and understand it. Maybe it's from watching the Matrix movies, who knows. React language seems to be similar to what we have learned on SheCodes Plus but in fact, there are so much more details we have to get more attentive and since the structure of the language is with separate elements, building the connection among them becomes quite challenging but meanwhile with much fun, if you are being led by a good team, just like SheCodes π€ Thanks for all of your assistance and patience (especially JoΓ£o ππ»ββοΈ). Highly recommend and this is a really enjoyable journey to open the door of coding world!
The SheCodes Workshop gives you a basic understanding about what coding is and how it works. The challenges are fun and as you progress, they get more difficult. The final project is a great opportunity to show how much you've learned in this 3-week workshop and test yourself. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a glimpse of what coding is and how it works. Plus, you have an amazing community to help you with any questions or problems you may have!
The 3-week workshop is a great introduction into coding and learning the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Matt is a super instructor. All lessons were well structured and the small challenges helped to gain confidence step-by-step and kept me engaging with this workshop. I chose this course to learn more about coding and the results have left me very happy. I am proud of myself that I can now apply what I've learnt to better improve my skillset. An absolutely outstanding workshop. In the beginning, I was unsure whether I should do the workshop since I am an absolute beginner. But Matt and his team made the workshop so understandable and interesting so that learning to code was a lot of fun. I especially liked the weekly challenges in which you could see how much progress you were making in the past week. I can highly recommend the workshop. :)
I must say that when I started to do this course, I did not expect that I will willingly spend night hours after work watching lessons and learning to code. But I did. I enjoyed every lesson with challenges and when I was working or doing anything else, I was thinking about what will I learn today and was so excited to continue. Matt shows and explains everything so simply, which made this course even more thrilling. And thanks to technical support and other students that are willing to help if you find yourself stuck with your code, you avoid feeling frustrated or bored! In just those 3 weeks (counting 2 as the third was work on the final project) you learn how to do basic webpage! It is just amazing! I will undoubtedly continue with other SheCodes courses.

This introduction to coding was so fun! I learned a lot in a short space of time and genuinely enjoyed every lesson and project. Having someone checking on your code as you go along via the homework assignments was helpful as it ensures you know you're on the right track π The course is fantastic value for the content that you receive and is beginner friendly as well as offering some challenges if you want to push yourself. I can't believe how easy it was to learn! I played around with HTML back in middle school and early high school so the HTML part of the course was like a nice refresher. CSS was super fun since you get to start the designing part of the coding. Then came JavaScript. It was a challenge but still super fun! I can't wait to move on to the next course to expand me knowledge! If you are considering joining, do it! You will not regret it!

I started my intro to coding on July 27, 2020 and three weeks later with no prior experience I have learned some basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. SheCodes was easy to follow, and so engaging! Matt not only teaches to you the basics, but he shares with you all the tips to make your code as detailed as possible and readable to other developers. The homework ensures you practice what you've learned after the lessons. Being a mom with a full time job didn't make it easy to start, and I was unable to find a course that I could follow with my agenda. I'm so happy Social Media led me to SheCodes!

The best coding workshop ever! Prior to Shecodes, I never really got to code. I was only familar with some languages through youtube but would forget them easily because I didn't have anything to practice with. But Shecodes changed that! With a weekly homework and many practices, I've had enough practice and felt like I was actually learning. Besides, Matt is a great instructor and his lessons are very engaging. 10/10 I would take this course again!

I've wanted to learn coding for a while but, when working a full-time job, it can be tricky to find a course that offers a flexible timetable, and that's also affordable. I've really appreciated that it's possible to choose the 3-weeks workshop before eventually continuing with the more advanced courses. It's a great introduction, and allows you to see if you're happy with what you learn. I had a lot of fun working on my first project, and cannot wait to enroll on the longer workshop.

I loved learning how to code. Seriously a fun and interesting language to learn. It was challenging and rewarding when I got a code the way I wanted it. I hope I am able to contribute to my field more profoundly with these learned skills. You need to put in the work to earn what you learn throughout the program.

SheCodes+ is a definite must after doing the workshop! In Plus, a lot of new additional knowledge on HTML, CSS and JS has been shared. The new knowledge is used in building a weatherApp and this was a true learning experience. Now that my app is finished, I am even more excited to do more coding and start to build more apps/sites. Fascinated by the use of API's and excited to continue to practice and grow my coding knowledge and skills and ready to start React! Also shout out to Joao! When I had a question Joao was always there to give a suggestion and explanation if needed, great support.

I am pleasantly surprised how much I've learned in 3 weeks. This course provides a good foundation for learning the languages of code (it covers HTML, CSS and JavaScript). Matt's instruction made the subject easy to understand and relatable. I'm motivated to go much further with coding.
Matt provides easy to follow, step-by-step video lessons on learning code, always paired with written code and other resources to supplement the videos. I found the homework to be an extra challenge beyond the lesson content! Which is exactly what I want out of this course--to be challenged to use the newly learned material independently. Help is always available, of course--I personally found the slack community to be VERY helpful when I got caught on homework. Plus, there are solution videos after every lesson and homework assignment. All in all, I feel like my understanding of code has grown substantially after taking this course. I look forward to continuing Matt's advanced courses! Thank you everyone!

I couldn't recommend this course enough! Matt was straight to the point and taught us exactly what we needed to know to grasp a basic foundation without taking up weeks of our time. I'm a hands-on fast learner, and other courses out there were a bit on the monotonous end for me. SheCodes, was exactly what I needed to have an edge in the ever changing tech world, plus the response time of the support team is unparalleled. The 3-week SheCodes workshop I attended was perfect for someone like me dipping their toes into coding! I began this course hoping to gain a new skill while stuck quarantining at home and I can confidently say I've learned basic but practical coding skills I'll definitely use throughout my undergraduate studies and in my career. If you fully commit to the course material and its deadlines, you will get the most out of this program.
I am so happy I found SheCodes and decided to take the leap to finally learn to code! Matt is an amazing teacher, I really can't stress that enough. He explains everything so well that for me personally, everything just 'clicked' in my head. Because of SheCodes, I am now on the road to expand my knowledge and pursue this as a life long career. This course was a great mix of challenging and achievable β for beginners! I really enjoyed learning the basics of HTML and CSS in tandem, as I've learned a little of each separately before. Learning it all together helped me understand the purpose of each piece! I really enjoyed the videos (friendly and straightforward explanations), and I appreciated the ability to discuss or ask questions. If you already know the fundamentals of HTML, you'll want to try something more advanced, but I'd recommend this to anyone interested in the basics.

I have enjoyed learning with SheCodes every step of the way. The React workshop is very valuable to me. I feel ready to start pursuing this on my own as a developer and create more projects for my portfolio. I am actually going to make my portfolio website using React! After being introduced to coding during my studies, I was left unsatisfied with my achievements in class. Therefore, I was actively looking for a coding class to expand my knowledge in coding. Before I started this workshop, I knew very little about coding and how to create a webpage. Before joining this course I was already familiar with the basics of HTML and CSS, but JavaScript was completely new to me. By joining this course, I've developed my skills more in 3 weeks that I've ever been able to on my own and most of all, have had a great time learning how to code! I feel a lot more confident in my abilities and hope that I'll be able to apply these skills to any future jobs that I'll take!

Of course, there have been a couple of frustrating moments, such as being stuck on a function and not getting the result I need, but I loved those moments because I couldn't stop until I came up with a solution. My SheCodes adventure ended today as I graduated from SheCodes React. I had a lot of fun during the past few months, and I learned a lot. This workshop is a fun way to learn how to code or refresh your knowledge. I definitely recommend it to beginning programmers or programmers who want to refresh or rehearse their knowledge. SheCodes plus is a very good basis for entering the "programming world". For me these were a very fun 7 weeks. You work out the project on your own pace and as detailed as you want (of course everything working). What brings fun challenges.
